Montgomery probably wouldn't have described himself as kind-hearted. But he was a person who understood the importance of returning favors where favors had been given, and Javen's father had done one for him that he would not soon forget.
He nodded back. "Very well then, Javen. Best of luck to you, and I hope you find what you're looking for." He opened a door to the outside, and then allowed Javen to leave before shutting it again behind him.
