While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

It was hard describing what was Amelia’s feelings regarding the ghost girl being a friend of her mentor. It was not something she would expect, when Elaine spoke of having a friend mage, for some reason, the only ones coming into mind were the teachers of the institute. She couldn’t really imagine how the two of them met and what had happened to bring them together as friends.

When Elaine spoke of the similarities between them, it was a bit amusing to know. Though it wasn’t quite like she had made it sound. Amelia left Zeltiva when she was young, she had highly good reasons for being in Ravok, and despite her still not being a hands down fanatic of the sun or Rhysol. She could tolerate the city and didn’t want something bad happening to it…and Clyde. Well, saying she knows him personally is pushing it. Yes, she knows him as her teacher. But that is about all, the two of them haven’t really gotten into the phase of their relationship when you could dare call each other a friend. Or did she miss that part somewhere along the lines? She found him to be distant.

As the two continued waking in silence, an unusual sound came from the distance. Amelia didn’t really have the time to react on her own, before the ghost girl had told her to hide. Amelia’s red dress made it hard to blend in, but she did her best as she hid behind a fairly large bush. She didn’t see Elaine anymore, hinting that the girl had disappeared, well, stopped being visible.

When the figures approached, it was hard to tell their motives, Amelia wasn’t good at reading people from their appearance, and she needed to see them react to something or hear them speak. But one thing was clear; the woman wasn’t willingly following the man. She looked frightened and it sent cold shivers upon Amelia. ”who could it be” she wondered as she tried to make out what they were speaking about. The only things she had come to realize was, that the woman had a form of leash around her neck, and they were speaking about hunting. That was not good, the horror of them hurting Fauna in the process.

Still, she felt save, they didn’t seem to notice Amelia, until she accidentally broke a twig under her foot. She froze, her body refused to move and she felt cold, she wasn’t sure what to say or do. Amelia waited, waited and soon enough the man’s grotesque voice came ”who is that!?” came the voice, that sounded horrifyingly brutal. It made her feel, as if he’d rip her skin off if given the chance.

She was standing and waiting while Amelia found a place where she could hide. A woman and a man appeared. And something strange was around the woman's neck. Elaine was disgusted by it. Maybe she didn't hate humans that much now, but still she could still judge them. She didn't hear much only something about hunting. Could they see that horse? There was only one way to find it out. Going closer and listen if they mention it somehow. And as Amelia was going she was also going closer and...

Amelia broke a twig. Gosh Fool... she thought. The man heared it and asked who was it. No chance Amelia was helpless she didn't move. Better if she will do it. Elaine materlaized herself she was in her usual dress. Her soulmist went around her in a circle the temperature dropped down. She looked at the man with her empty eyes and took a quick look at the girl with the leash. She was stepping there closer. It was better if they try to attack her rather than Amelia. There were advantages to be a ghost. She had to protect her friend's student. She whispered to him."It was me! Did I bother something? And why is this woman wearing a leash? Is she your dog? Trully you are disgusting. "

The man was trully angry. He looked at Elaine as a freak. She got used to it. " It's not your business! Who are you? What are you even doing here? Get the hell out of here!" Rude as Elaine thought. She was going closer. She hoped Amelia was smart enough and moved already. This could be dangerous and she wanted deal with this easily. "I'm Elaine Spade, The Silent Lady! Maybe not my business... And I'm just searching for peace like other ghosts. So... what are YOU doing here? With that lady?"

To say Amelia was terrified was scratching the surface. She felt frozen and despite Elaine materializing and seemingly protecting Amelia, she had trouble moving. But as the man spoke louder, even she managed to gather her fright into one and leave. She moved quite a bit backwards, staying low on the ground and trying to not step on anymore twigs. Once she thought she was far enough, she hid behind an old tree, it wasn’t necessarily the biggest tree around, but it was the closest and if she decided to run for the big oak, it would only cause her to be spotted more easily.

Now, her eyes peeking from behind the tree, she watched, watched and listened to Elaine. This reminded her why she was so terrified from Elaine before, she is a ghost, her voice is cold and she might or might not possess powers from beyond this world. She could hear slight fear in the man, but his nature, it seemed to come out and aggression ”I’m just taking a walk with my dog, can’t you see?” the voice full of dirt, you could hear that he had little to no respect to the woman. Judging by the leash and the way he referred to her, she might be a kelvic. Poor thing, Ravok had little love to those creatures, even having a center to experiment on them.

”tell that thing, you are fine!? Speak Jes!” he ordered, the woman still had her face downwards, it didn’t have much confidence or trust. Judging by the red cheeks, she might have been crying. Though one couldn’t see any marks of violence on her, as her clothes were quite baggy. ”y~yes, I’m fine…w~ith …my master” clearly a lie. She was much more scared from the man than a ghost. What kind of monster had they stumbled upon? ”see? A perfectly happy bitch, now let us through!” he anything but begged, his aggression visible on the facial features and the way he had jerked the leach of the woman once more, forcing her to fall on her knees in front of him.

Amelia bit her lip at the sight, she wanted to help her, but had no power to do so.

oocwas I too harsh on the poor girl D:

Elaine didn't move. Amelia was still there and she could be danger too. The man wanted to go through Elaine like she was only air. She touched his chest with her materialized hand. The man suddenly jumped back and while he was holding his chest. He was breathing quickly. "You don't believe me?? That's your problem? Look at her! She IS A DOG! Jes, show her!" The girl took off her clothes she was naked. She hesitated for a little but after the man looked at her, she transformed. She was a kelvic, a wolfdog kelvic. Elaine just simply didn't care.

But her humanity yes. She started to disturb her again: I was right! Humans are disgusting like this! Let me handle this! No Elaine didn't want to let this. Although for this case maybe that tricky self could be help. Perhaps she could take advantages from it. SHe let it and she became invisible. "Damn these ghosts! Finally she has gone. Come Jes!.... Jes? " The woman didn't move she was confused in her dog form, shaking her head like she wanted shake off something. Elaine possessed her while the man didn't see it. And whispered to her mind.

"Dear don't fight me! Instead cooporate with me! You are a kelvic, not a slave. You can live free again at the wilds and find a mate for yourself. I know you want this. Let me help you, just give me the control! Don't worry, the result will be fascinating!" Yes her pride try to gain access. And she was success. The girl in her dog form calmed down. Elaine had to focus now walking as a dog wasn't easy. Upper right leg and down the left leg forward. Now Upper left leg and down the right leg. And again and again and she was walking now as a dog. It was strange to be in that form. She walked next to her master. But she didn't control her now. She instead tried to make her do the work. She giggled and whispered to her mind again. "Now look at his neck... You should taste it a bit." Elaine left the dog's body, before she will use too much power but before the man could react the wolfdog jumped on him and got his neck. Elaine had a smile on her face which disappeared immideatly after Elaine took back the control as well. Strange she could never took back of her own only if her otherself let it.

From her semi secure place behind the tree, Amelia watched how the events progressed. She could see that Elaine was doing a good job at scaring the man. His voice and overall mannerism made it clear. After all, a cornered animal would attack; it had no better way out anyway. The man decided to show his point, by ordering his slave to transform into her kelvic form. It was a reasonable thing, when she paid enough thoughts to it, but not at this place, not with Elaine. The ghost had made it clear that she is disgusted by humans, meaning that slavery must be frowned upon.

The woman, the kelvic, was actually quite beautiful, bout as a naked woman and as a wolf. Amelia had noticed that kelvics don’t seem to mind being naked, and rarely pay attention to their clothing if they have any, though she couldn’t quite put her finger on the reason behind it. Anyway, Amelia seemed to have lost Elaine. She was left alone and her hearth began beating faster and faster. Being left alone with a crazy man and his wolf kelvic was not something you really wanted to experience.

Still, she didn’t turn away, she kept looking at them and what surprised her was, that the wolf seemed to be disobeying. She was shaking her head, as if trying to get something out, could it be that…Elaine had entered her the same way she entered Amelia at the docks? If so, she must be going through a hard time, as Amelia remembers the experience with horror. None the less, she was curios of what Elaine would do now that she possessed the kelvic.

Before she knew it, the animal had attacked its master. The strong bite of the animal, the human was helpless. Amelia had little sorrow for the man, he deserved it for threating his slave like this, but still, she didn’t think his death needed to be this bad. The man was bleeding, his blood tinting the leaves and rocks beneath him a crimson color. The concept was somehow beautiful and disgusting.

Now Amelia felt a bit safer, but still worried about the kelvic. Maybe the taste of blood will tingle some of her animal senses and now Amelia will be the next victim? Such depressing thoughts, but still, it was possible. But she saw that the kelvic was struggling with the leash, and so, she decided to step out form her hiding spot. Instantly gaining the full attention of the canine ”don’t be afraid, I’ll just take your leash off” she explained, coming closer and closer. Her hands in the open, so the dog would see them and not get scared. ”shh” she calmed her, and she toke off the leash, the sign of her slavery. Now she was a free kelvic. The leash thrown on the ground, and Amelia backed away. ”Elaine, where are you?” she asked, slightly worried.

She was just looking at the "poor" man. The blood came out from the neck and as the dog stopped he didn't move. His eyes remained open, what a brutal kill. Still pathetic in Elaine's eyes. And she was just looking at Amelia as she came out from her hide and freed the kelvic. She couldn't believe she didn't do it until now. She was wild now a bit. Elaine materialized herself any case the kelvic would want to attack her for what she has done. Her look was clear as a painting again. She was looking down at them.

"Don't be afraid little fortune-teller I'm here. Also Jes you can transform back now. We are no harm for you! You are free and not a slave anymore." The dog was looked at her. They were just staring at each other, nothing happened. Then Elaine turned around like she would leave. But nope. She bowed down to her clothes. With unmatieralized herself and with her remained power she focused her soulmist at both of her hands. She touched the clothes and picked them up as the soulmist was around them. She went back and took it down before her.

Then something came to mind. Dog! Excellent smell! For Dira they could find Fauna maybe. Elaine's eyes were shining as the idea came, she had a little statisfying smile. She whispered again to Jes!"Wait! Wait before you get back to your human form! Can you also do as a favor? Can't you smell a horse near there? We are looking for one, Fauna! Amelia's, that girl's horse! After it I promise I will leave you alone." She pointed at Amelia while that and she also looked at both of their reaction.

Finally, Elaine materialized and was once again seen. Amelia smiled, she wasn’t quite sure why, but it was highly peasant to know that the spirit was there; it made her calmer and made her feel a bit safer. Strange isn’t it, when they first met, Amelia was terrified of the thing, and now, she was much like an old friend. Elaine talked to the dog, the kelvic that is, bout seemed to have exchanged their whole life with just a glance.

Amelia watched as the spirit got the things clothes and put them down before it. She could barely hear what they were talking about, or to be more precise, could not tell at all. She just heard a few words, she heard her name, Fauna…did Elaine want to convince the creature to help? To help find her horse. Somehow Amelia doubted she would agree.

But much to her surprise, she barked quite happily and her tail was waging around like a puppy. Maybe it was because nobody had been nice to her? Maybe that was why she wanted to help in exchange? Anyway, she ran up to Amelia and began sniffing her, when the wet nose touched her skin, it was quite a funny sensation, sort of ticklish and she couldn’t help but giggle.

One the sniffing was done, she smelled the air, running around from one side to the other. And then she tensed and barked, almost jumping up. ”did you find her?” she asked, the dog barked once more. The Cross walked up to where Jes’s clothes were and was about to pick them up, but the dog growled. ”silly me” she cursed, remembering that kelvics don’t enjoy clothes too much.

And with that out of the way, the dog began walking, guiding them to Fauna.

"Bring them! Just don't put at her! If she transforms back she will need her clothes... Jes she was just going to carry for you!" She said and pointed at the clothes which were lying on the ground. But the kelvic didn't really listened and started to go somewhere. Elaine was following her. She worried a little.

They were going in deeper deeper in the forest, they could lost. But then she just forgot that she was a ghost, it's not her fault but Amelia... Jes was sniffing on the air she certanily found something. She barked and started to walk faster. She was sniffing the ground now could it be the horse now? Elaine tried to hurry after her. Then the dog stopped and with her head she looked at straight. Elaine saw now behind the trees it was Fauna.

At least that was solved she wanted to go closer but she could scare the horse away again."Thank you... you are free now and sorry for the possession! Amelia she is here! I don't wanna closer!"She turned back to tell Amelia who was following them also. What a tiring day even for her. Although she didn't show any emotion. Nor happiness, nor that she was tired, nothing. What an unlife.

Amelia did pick up the clothing, not wishing to argue with the ghost. But she was still sure the dog kelvic wouldn’t want to have them. The kelvics she had met in the past, had made it quite clear that they disliked clothing and at all given chances, chose to be in an animal form, or could it be…their true form.

Following Jes, she held the clothes in her hand, eventually she had to increase her own speed, she wasn’t running, but she was faster than usual. Amelia was interested in following the kelvic, but she noticed that she was leading them deeper and deeper into the forest. Amelia knew what getting lost could turn out like, and she was not interested in getting lost, not today. The Cross picked up a rock that was rather sharp, and began drawing a cross shape in each tree they passed, eventually it turned into a rushed out x shape, but what mattered was the fact they could find their way back with them.

Finally, they reached the horse. Jes turned around and waged her tale, but didn’t bark. Amelia thanked her and put the clothes down. But the dog didn’t even look at them before she ran off into the deeper parts of the forest. It didn’t surprise her, and maybe, she would come back for the clothing latter? Who knew really, what mattered was Fauna.

Amelia walked closer, she wasn’t exactly quiet so it did manage to draw the horses attention, but when she saw Amelia, the fright disappeared and she came closer. ”I’m so happy you are safe” she smiled and hugged the mere’s neck. Just an approving neigh from the horse as she seemed to respond to the hug.

Quickly Amelia kneeled down, to readjust the straps of her saddle and checked the railing. It was all good, and she would be fine to ride off, but she wanted to thank Elaine, properly. Sure, Elaine was the reason the horse ran off, but she helped. ”now, Fauna, don’t be afraid…she’s a friend” was she? Amelia wasn’t sure how to state their relationship. But she turned towards the tree where she last saw Elaine ”hey, Elaine, do you want to say hi?” She announced with a smile, holding on to the rail, just in case Fauna wanted to do a bit of drama.

She was watching how the kelvic ran away from the place from them. Such a poor thing, but she was wondering who was that man. Before she could continue thinking Amelia was already with her horse now. She turned there and was only staring. She was slowly coming closer. Closer and closer, Fauna was still afraid and was about to run away. Elaine stopped there then for a bit.

Then she started to come closer again. She was there now. She slowly put her hands on Fauna's back and pat her... but it wasn't a pleasure for the horse. She put her hands away. No it was time now to go. She was again looking at Amelia."It's not going to... work. Be happy with your horse. At least she won't run away from me. If you are really Clyde's student we will surely see each other again. Learn a lot." She turned away.

She was walking back to the city when she realized where was she. She again whispered to her. "...You can only tell this to Clyde! Don't tell anybody about a kelvic, or a slaveman or me. You know nothing! Those clothes from the kelvic. Burn them! Leave no trace." She was looking around like if someone was watching them or listening them. She didn't have good feeling with it."I'm maybe safe, but be careful a bit now... But only a little time and they'll forget it." And with that warning she left her with Fauna and headed back to the city. She was wondering: Who was that man?
