Bones listened as Fer spoke its new name, in his head, and nodded repeatedly from atop Bones head. It was just odd to him, having this thing hanging out on his head. Did it think he was its perch?

But so far, it had not bothered him, and seemed harmless enough, albeit a bit odd.

He was not walking along long, before he ran into another open area, with another creature. This one had a small tube of living furry meat running around in it, which was blue. Or at least, that was the best way Bones could describe it, as a fur tube. Odd really. But what stuck out in Bones head, was its color, a harsh blue.

If it had not been for the color, Bones would have thought nothing of it. But he had grown up hunting in the forests of Falyndar, full of all kinds of things and creatures. Many of them poisonous. In his time there, he had learned that bright colorful things were usually poisonous, and that was how they made it by. They did not need to hide, as their poison was their defense.

However, dully colored things like Fer, which were not poisonous and were safe to eat, were dull colored and made it by hiding and blending and stealth. Which meant this creature either came from a place that was all blue, or it was poisonous.

Coming to the wrong conclusion, for the wrong reasons, Bones did not touch the beast, and stomped it with his foot before it could touch him, trying to snap its back with one well placed foot. He was careful not to touch it, his knowledge of poisons kicking in, which was admittedly a odd thing for a Constrictor Dhani to know of. But he had learned of it, to better fight other Dhani who did have poison.

"Did you sssee ssat fur tube? It'sss color? I ssink it wasss poissson. You ssshould probably not eat it..."

Bones let out a sigh, and went up to the next crossing, looking about. He had taken right before, so now he would go left. So he took the left path, and began to walk down it, gladius in hand.

Fer, seemingly understanding Bone's comment, did not eat the creature this time, but instead stayed clinging to the Dhani's head.

Down the left path, which almost immidiatly turned right, was much more intelligent adversary. At the end of the hall stood a monk, a slightly crazed look in his eyes, who was standing, leaning against one of the walls. When Bones approached, he would notice, and draw a longsword. He would then immediately charge silently at the pair, sword poised to strike overhead at the Dhani. Once he got close enough, he would swing downwards, in an attempt to cleave both Fer and Bones in half at the same time.

OOCI'm not giving you the next paths this time, as just assume that it'll take more than one post to kill the guy :)

As they passed onward, Fer did not dine on Bones latest kill. An odd thought struck him though, who cleaned this place up? If this much wanton carnage and death occurred, there had to be a decent bit of killing done, and bodies made by those killings. Yet he had seen no other corpses on any other times in here.

Perhaps it was because it was night, but the thought struck him as odd. He certainly would not want to be the ones whose job it was to clear out this place of creatures, and the leftovers of the dead.

As Bones walked though, he ran into another person in the maze. For a moment, he thought this might be a good thing... Until upon deeper reflection, he realized what reason did any other person have to be out here? None... No matter that he had come, and was out here...

This thought was confirmed, as the man drew a longsword, and began to run at him, holding his blade overhead readying it for a overhead strike to slash his blade into Bones skull.

Bones was having none of that. Unlike many swordsman, he was not only trained in blade, but also in fighting with fist. His skills in the two were more or less equal. Along with that, he had his unusual Dhani strength.

He could not be certain how skilled a fighter this man was who was trying to kill him, but he would fight him all the same. It was not time to run yet, if the time would come at all.

Bones would meet his downward slash with a upward slash of his own, aiming to meet the mans blade in a clench, blade to blade, neither able to pass. The man had the superior position, because he was bearing down on Bones, but Bones could push back and hold the blade in place with brute force if need be.

But he did not plan to wait for that to come to pass.

Once he made his upward swing aimed to block the mans blade, he would swing with his free left fist, and make a punch aimed right at the mans open chest, trying to punch full force.

If he was lucky and it struck well, it would end with him having the wind knocked out of him, which would give him an opening, and he could sweep in a leg and knock his legs out from under him, while he was busy dealing with his blade, and the pain in his chest without air.
summary :
-So to be clear, Bones made a upward sweeping slash to block his strike
-Then tried to punch him in the gut with his free left hand
-And if that worked would try to use his leg in a kicking sweep to knock the feet out from under the monk and possibly send him to the ground.

The monk's sword went flying up over his head, but he didn't let go of it, letting it swing back to his side just as Bone's next hit struck. The punch to the stomach hit him squarely, and he staggered back a few steps, hunching slightly. When the sweep came, he was smart enough to leap back, before readying himself for attacking again.

He yelled this time, nothing in particular, aiming a kick between the Dhani's legs, before once again attempting the overhand strike. Apparently he didn't seem to learn that this was basically useless, as Bones could easily block it.

All of Bone's next hits would land squarely, rendering the man either unconscious or dead, depending. From there, another two paths were available. One forward, and the other to the left. Both turned again after a little while, and the corner was barely visible in the darkness.

Fer also seemed to ignore the body of the monk, and muttered "Only like dogs. Humans and furry things... bleah." He shivered slightly and clung tighter, seriously disliking the monk for some reason.

Summary :
-He tries to kick you between the legs...
-Then does the overhand cut again
Just assume all your attacks hit, and try and immobilize him somehow, could you? :)

As Bones blade struck his foes, it was sent recoiling back over his head. He had not even had the strength to hold it in place against his strike.

Bones could have possibly made a killing blow there, if he had thought to, striking with a fast thrust to the belly before he could bring his blade down to defend, but Bones was not aiming to kill.

He took the punch to the gut with a oomph, and stumbled back, getting out of range of his sweep partially in the process. Either way, he managed to avoid it.

He aimed a kick at Bones man bits, but he jumped back a step, avoiding it just like he had avoided his sweep. Then he came in for another over headed slash.

Thinking this through, Bones knew that his last slash had knocked the blade high, leaving it vulnerable. And he was using the same attack... Which meant he would be open this time, and he could take advantage.

Bones would swing upward again to block the attack, and before he could bring the blade back down to defend he would punch him in the throat with his left hand.

He made a sweep of his blade going left, and knocked the blade clean out of the mans hand, sending it flying.

He would send a kick to his knee, to make him fall, and then finally knock him in the head with the butt of his gladius, knocking him out.

Bones stood over him for a moment, but did not kill him. He left him there, unconscious. If he was eaten, so be it, it was not his fault, and he would feel no guilt for it. But really, the man attacking him was odd enough. He was lucky if all he got was a headache and a lump on the head.

He walked past the man, looked at the forward path, at the left path, and decided upon the forward one, going straight along it.

summary :
-Jumped back to dodge the groin kick
-Swung his blade up to knock it high again
-Punched him in the throat
-Disarm him with a slash horizontally
-Kicked him in the knee to make him fall
-Hit him in the head with the butt of his blade to knock him out

OOCI'm sososososososo sorry for the delay T~T. You went into the one room I hadn't come up with yet...

Also, I wont be able to post again after you deal with this guy until I get my hands on my map... which is at home. Which is where I'm not... :)

The monk was sent toppling to the ground, unconscious. All of Bone's blows had hit full on, leaving the man immobile.

The forward bath led to a smaller room, with apparently nothing inside. However, the moment the Dhani entered, he would gain a strange feeling of loosing control of his body. The reason for this was, in fact, some kind ghost had possessed his body.

Though the attacked didn't speak, he used Bones' body to giggle, then began sauntering around the area in circles. He pulled out one of the Dhani's gladiusesIs that the plural? and began swinging it around experimentally. The ghost grinned and giggled quietly to itself, thrusting forward once.

Fer, scared of this, leaped of Bone's head and glided over to the top of the wall, where he watched the scene worriedly. "Badbadbadbadbad..." he muttered to himself sadly, though obviously there was no noise.

OOC: The plural of gladius is gladii. Maybe it is a weapon thing, as I know the plural for stiletto is stiletti. :)

IC:

Bones walked along into the path of his choosing, looking around for anything. But it seemed to him, at least at first, that it was devoid of any threat. Which of course just made him more conscious of the quiet, and wondered what could be lurking unseen...

That is until a odd sensation ran over him, and he felt like his body was... Not listening... Moving on its own, sort of like it did sometimes in combat, but in a different way... A perverse way, which he fought, but could not stop.

He watched trapped inside of his own flesh as his body moved and laughed of its own volition, a odd giggle which would never cross his own lips when he was in control. Then he began to saunter around playing with his blades, his weapons! Like some child with a new toy, testing it out. A rage began to simmer inside of Bones, at the forces audacity at controlling him, at abusing and misusing HIS weapons.

Fer's spoken warning was heard, but at that point Bones knew something was wrong, something was off... But he could do nothing. He let out a mental wail, "Get out, those are not toys!" But he doubted anything could hear, except perhaps Fer who could read minds. Perhaps whatever controlled him could hear, but he did not even know what it was.

The ghost didn't appear to hear Bones, and instead continued on its way. Still, as it continued its circling path, its strength seemed to waver, so that if the Dhani tried, he could utilize his mouth again.

As Fer continued his repetition, the attacker suddenly noticed the funny creature and yelled, loudly. "Go AWAAAAAY. Shut UP!" he seemed to be utterly bewildered, and actually kind of frightened of the funny thing, and he reached up and began to bang one of the gladii on the wall. He was trying to either scare away or hit the mammal-thing, but Bone's reach was nowhere near enough, and was rewarded with a blank stare from Fer. This quickly turned into some kind of mirth, where the creature screeched (aloud) and sang (in Bone's head) "You can't reach me! You can't reach me!" This caused another yell from the ghost, but it didn't seem to change anything.

After this encounter, if the Dhani warrior resisted the possession hard enough, he would eventually regain control of his body, leaving the ghost... somewhere. Fer would return to his usual perch, and Bones would be provided with two directions other than the way he came in. One, to the right (if he stood at the entrance) and one forward.

The right one would lead, after a turn and a long passage, to another choice. Continuing forward would quickly lead to another room, whilst heading left would take him to a third choice, forward or left, each which would take him to other rooms.

Going forward would have a choice to go right or forward later on. Going right would take him to a left or right choice, where right led to a room, and left ANOTHER choice. It was right or forward, with right to another room. Forward would take him to another T-intersection, with left to another room straight ahead, and right with another room after a turn. If Bones didn't turn right at the first option here, it would lead him to a left and right turns, with left to another room. Right would take him to another T-junction, with right to another room, and left to the same after a turn.

OOCStuff gets complicated here. Sorry! It just looked so simple on my map.... >.>

Bones was fighting with whatever was moving him, for a moment HE clenched his own jaw, fighting to gain control, but it wavered and he soon lost his hold. What was this?

He was brought to new heights of anger when he began to bang the flat side of one of his blades against a wall, making a clanging sound, trying to smash Fer. He did not wield a hammer, how dare he use his weapon as such! Luckily it was the enhanced one, or else the banging likely would have blunted the blades edges, which would have taken bells to fix. As it was, the wall likely would suffer more damage than his own weapon.

This angered Bones so much though, that he put up quite a fight, urging his body to action, actively contradicting the impulses the controlling body was sending to his flesh, willing it to leave him be. After awhile, he felt it leave, or at least stop controlling him. He assumed whatever it had been had gone.

Bones felt tired after the ordeal, and slotted his weapons back into their sheathes, waiting a chime before moving, letting himself rest, and taking a sip from his waterskin. Then he was onward, Fer back to his Dhani perch.

He walked down along the paths, going down the forward one, ignoring the right path for now. He paced down along it, heading straight, until he came to another intersection, were he would again go forward, until he came to a T intersection, forcing him to choose a direction. He chose the left path here, and would continue to make left turns when possible until he ended up at another room. (If no lefts, would go straight)

Though he was starting to realized how many rooms the maze had... He had not realized before that the maze had so many rooms, or that really it had any at all. How had he not run into a single room on his last visit here, and yet was running into tons of them now?

After one more left, Bones reached another room. It was smaller than most, and the only unusual thing about it was a glint in the center of the floor. Lying there, almost as if discarded, lay a ruby the size of a Miza, perfect and flawless. There was a strange attraction to it, subtle and barely noticeable, urging the Dhani to pick it up and get a closer look. It was more an enhancement of the thought of how pretty and valuable the jewel was than anything sinister seeming.

Fer hopped down to the floor, gliding for a moment to get a closer look at the item. He tilted his oddly shaped head, to get a zoomed in look with one eye. He stayed there for a moment, watching but not touching the thing, before cawing and returning to his usual perch. For once, he didn't seem to have anything to say about the oddly placed valuable.
