So much for the naked party. As soon as she woke up, after she was done freaking out and all, the woman had demanded clothes for both her and Arthur. Though all they found was a blanket, they ended up cutting it up to make "jungle ware." For Arthur, blanket stitched underwear, and for the woman, a blanket stitched bikini. It wasn't much, but at least they weren't completely naked. "I miss my old clothes," Arthur groaned. "Well at least I'm not the only one forced to go wild-man. Speaking of which, why'd you come in dead anyway lady?" The woman was hesitant to answer, since she was still embarrassed about being naked. Arila had to offer her coat to the woman before she said anything. "First," she began, "my name is not 'lady.' It's Hareyle. Second, I got those scars trying to escape. You were asleep so you probably don't remember. But the Zith doesn't take too kindly to runaways." Looking down at her arm, she shivered as she remembered his senseless beating, if it could even be called that. He had went from beating to torturing to nearly killing Hareyle. She was still surprised that she didn't even have a scar from then. Healers sure did work miracles. However, Arthur would snap Hareyle out of her thoughts when he was the last to realize the obvious. "Wait a minute...You're H aren't you?" Both S and Hareyle looked at Arthur like he was stupid, which he was. Arila assumed he had brain damage and went to heal his head wounds. "Then how come you came here as a human instead of a giant grizzly bear?" Arthur asked while she did this. "I thought S said kelvics were animals." Hareyle actually looked embarrassed when Arthur said that. But she should have expected her secret to come out sooner or later. "I'm not actually a kelvic," she explained. "I'm actually just a Morpher. Before you ask, a morpher is like a kelvic because they can transform too. The only difference is that they can do partial transformations- they can change their hands and feet into dog paws or something. In my case, I can change any part of my body to look like a grizzly bear. And as you've seen, I can also change my whole body into a grizzly bear." With her story finished, Hareyle looked for Arthur's reaction only to see that he had fell asleep. After being kicked awake, Arthur saw the warehouse opening again. The master had come back to check on everyone. However, there was something different about him. Rather than the sadistic Zith that they always saw, he looked more anxious and scared. But Arthur wasn't really focused on their expression. He was more concerned with why the Zith was carrying all his lost stuff. His cloak, his daggers, his powder, it was all their. And he had some clothes for Hareyle as well. "Get dressed," he growled. "You've got ten minutes!" Tossing the items on the ground, the Zith didn't leave this time. Instead, he walked over to Arila, demanding that she heal him. She had no choice but to comply both because she had been captured and it was the way of the healer. Hareyle tried not to glare at the sight. As he began to put his clothes back on, Arthur wondered just how the Zith had gotten all his stuff. Did he just go and steal some replacements...or did he actually find the guy who stole all Arthur's stuff? If that were the case, how did he find him. More importantly, why did he find him? What was the point of arming his slaves? Was he really that sure of his own abilities? When his injuries were healed, the Zith stood up to address everyone. "He'll be coming this afternoon. Present yourself well and you shall be spared. If you try to escape, act out, or just aren't picked..." Without another word, the Zith attacked. But Arthur wasn't his target this time. It took only seconds to kill Arila. However, the Zith took the body with him. Arthur knew he must have been carrying her off to his kitchen. Walking towards the door, the Zith stopped to say something over his shoulder. "That goes for you too Savass." |
