The night was quiet, except for the loud shouts and laughs resonating from The Silver Sliver Tavern as it's occupants enjoyed copious amounts of ale after a hard days work, most drinking themselves into a stupor because, why the heck not? The men and women of Ravok enjoyed the tavern's atmosphere oblivious to most of their surroundings, meanwhile from a dark corner of the tavern a pair of amber eyes watched in silence.

Raven had been sitting there for quite some time observing the citizens as they became progressively more inebriated and rowdy simultaneously, scanning the crowd for easy targets, a girl had to do what she had to do. The fair, dark haired, red lipped thief wore her usual tight black leather attire, corset, pants and boots, all of which served to aid her in her movement, stealth and more importantly seduction. She may have been fairly good at sneaking but she knew her greatest weapons were her feminine wiles and she made good use of them, using them to charm and distract would be victims.

It had been at least two bells since Raven had arrived in The Silver Sliver Tavern and there she had been sitting silently, lying in wait for the perfect prey. Her eyes widened in anticipation as she noticed a group of three very drunk men struggling to get to their feet before slowly shuffling toward the exit and out of the tavern. The men were swaying clumsily as they walked, each one more wasted than the next as the
drunk led the drunk.

Raven calmly got up from her the secluded area where she'd been sitting and casually exited the tavern in no hurry to catch up to the men. As she left the tavern she noticed the three men stumbling in the distance and made her way toward them. As she got closer, looking around every few moments to ensure there were no witnesses she went into sneak mode, half crouching and stepping carefully so as to not alert the men to her presence. As she followed them, Raven made sure to hide every chance she got, ducking behind random crates and buildings as she closed the gap between her targets and herself.

Eventually after a short while of pursuit the men came within arms reach, they sang loudly as they walked, the drunkards completely oblivious as to the shadow that was stalking them. Raven was like a predator on the hunt, only her prey was not the drunk men but rather their pockets, their hard earned money was her food, her sustenance. Finally Raven gathered up the nerve to reach forward and into the left most man's right pocket, 'Damn! Empty!' she cursed mentally before trying his second pocket which was also empty to her disappointment. Next was the middle man as she reached her hand carefully into his left pocket once again finding nothing but air. Raven was quickly beginning to get frustrated as she moved on to searching the next pocket, her hand met with a small bulging bag, jackpot. Slowly and carefully she plucked the bag from the man's pocket, quickly ducking behind a stack of nearby crates in case the man decided to turn around.

There she hid for a few moments as she pondered whether or not to risk searching the third man as well, "No, don't get greedy." she told herself in a silent whisper, there was a good amount of mizahs in the coin sack she had just stolen from the man and it would have to do for today. She sighed softly in relief as she stood up and began walking casually away from the crime scene, the drunk men oblivious and too far to spot her now as she strolled happily back toward the tavern for a drink.

Raven had barely taken ten steps when she heard an angry voice shouting at her from the distance. "There! THIEF!" the voice yelled followed by a series of rushed footsteps. Raven sighed in frustration and without warning burst into a run, the men were way too far to have gotten a good look at her, especially in the dimly lit isles of Ravok. As she ran she took corner after corner, quickly ducking and weaving around in an attempt to escape.

More than once Raven was faced with dead ends that lead only to the lake and each time she growled in annoyance before back tracking and trying a different route, the men were slowly gaining on her with each dead end. As Raven ran she noticed another dead end ahead of her, their was a large space between the walkway she was on and the one across from it, several feet with only water in-between. "This should work...if I make it." she said to herself as she sped up, eyes focused on the jump ahead, the angry men now only feet away from her as they shouted angrily for her to stop, the realisation that they'd been robbed seemed to have forced their minds into a sober state.

As Raven reached the end of the walkway she kicked of, jumping as far as she could, her hand reached out as her body only just crossed the threshold and she landed with a soft thud on the opposite walkway immediately breaking into a roll and then back onto her feet as she changed directions and began running once again. She had a self satisfied smirk on her face as she ran, now convinced she'd escaped her pursuers.

Only a few moments had passed when Raven heard the familiar angry shouts of the men in the distance, to her dismay they had found her once again, they must have known the city quite well. She looked back to see the men very fair in the distance and just as she turned her gaze forward again she noticed something massive blocking the path ahead. She tried her hardest to stop but at the speed she had been running she was way too late to hit the breaks now as she slammed into the large unmoving obstacle, bouncing off of it and onto the ground.

Raven shook her head confused as to what had just happened and looked up, only to see a gargantuan man towering over her. She just layed there too dizzy to move as her head was filled with a loud ringing which could only have been a result of their collision. "That hurt. she said out loud, although it was directed at herself rather than the figure that she had run into...literally.

Damsel Not So In Distress(Kyodaija)

Postby Kyodaija on July 4th, 2013, 8:11 pm

Kyo was lazing around bored at his home. Unable to get much work since he had come to Ravok, especially the violent kind...

He began to get far to restless and decided to go outside and train. Wearing nothing but his Pants as usual for training he left his room at Tarsin's, going out for a light workout... He sprinted until his legs could move him no further as he usually did. Until he got to the spot at the docks he had been training recently. He began throwing punches around and pretending to dodge and weave past some opponents... He had seen men box before but had never been taught the sport himself. So he was very poorly mimicking the moves of the great fighters he had seen in pit arenas before. So instead he decided to focus his attention on training his Djed more.

He began to put out his awareness into a nearby crane in an attempt to hear it despite it's silent stillness waiting for fish. He focused for a time putting much of his attention on the task. Until he could begin to hear the creature breath, he could even swear he heard the thing blink it's eyes from time to time. But it lay nearly motionless waiting for it's intended prey... Kyo focused on what the bird was gazing at. And saw a trout ripe for the plucking in the water nearby... His gaze and attention was so focused on this fish now that he hardly noticed the woman come from behind him roughly crashing into his backside. This was fairly startling as all his attention was on the crane and this fish (that being the limits of his power of Auristics at the moment) he began to turn around to hear an annoyed sounding voice saying "That hurt..." beloning to a young woman who had fallen on her backside after obviously running into Kyo...

She wore clothes that indicated to Kyo she was a woman more than aware of her sexual attractiveness to the men of her species... Though he had little interest in human woman other than as food, he understood sex appeal regardless...

He could hear in the distance a group of men fast approaching shouting "Thief!, Stop her!" Which when they came into distant view they clearly sped up after catching up to her again.

It was then Kyo spotted a healthy sized bag in the woman's hand...

He smiled and said aloud whilst pointing toward the men "I'll take half..." eyeballing the bag to indicate he would handle the men chasing her for a healthy share of her bounty...

Raven was still dizzy, sitting on the ground with her head held low, mostly to hide her face from the large man infront of her, in case he was against her thieving. Fortunately for her, as well as unfortunately, the man was the complete opposite, Infact he wanted to help her get rid of the men and split the reward. Obviously that would be a great help, but at the same time she would be losing half her money even though she had done the hardest part.

Raven's vision finally returned to normal and not a moment too soon as she heard the men approaching only a short distance away. She slipped her plain black mask out from it's place beneath her rolled up whip where it was latched to her waist and pulled it on before finally looking up to see the giant man, her identity now secured. "I don't need your help, I can handle these men on my own. Besides, I've already done the hard part." she said confidently as she got to her feet.

The man she had bumped into was a giant of a man, not only was he tall but his form was covered in muscles that bulged out from beneath his warm coloured skin, which was only aided by his lack of a shirt. Along with his large muscles, the man was covered in a multitude of scars on his body and face, most notable was one over his eye which looked glazed over. This man was very intimidating indeed, his appearance alone made her question her decision to deny his offer, a man that large could probably just steal the money from her if he so pleased, but she was not going to give up her hard earned coin so easily.

She turned around, arms crossed as the three angry men finally closed the gap between themselves and Raven(and the giant man). "How about I give you a third? That's reasonable right." she proposed, acting as if the three men in front of her didn't exist, her voice still confident. She wasn't exactly worried about the three drunk men, but she was worried about the giant man behind her, including him(to a degree) seemed like her best option. Besides, she'd been itching to get her hands dirty as of late, as she picked a target to take out.

She chose the only man who's pockets she hadn't searched, as her arm rose and she pointed directly at him. "I'll take him." she said nonchalantly as if she was shopping in a store, she was certain she could best him in a fight with ease.

Damsel Not So In Distress(Kyodaija)

Postby Kyodaija on July 5th, 2013, 2:53 am

Kyo laughed aloud at the boldness of the would be thief that had come before him, attempting to bargain him down to a mere third of the heavy purse that she now held. Kyo was not particularly fond of thieves, but this one showed some spunk that did much in curing him of his boredom.

He stepped out to her side then crossing his arms as she was, obviously posing a much more obvious looking threat to the three charging men. As they neared though Kyo could smell the liquor on them, particularly the smell of his favored Silver Sliver... He would have to be wary not to leave the bar quite so inebriated anymore with this woman around...

She pointed out the man among the three that seemed to be the weakest of the bunch, proclaiming "I'll take him". Kyo went ahead and charged into the group of three men grabbing the one in the center by the scruff of his collar and hoisting him up off the ground. The poor drunk flailed and kicked whilst the other 2 stood dumbfounded not knowing what to do. Kyo hoisted the man up over his shoulders then, and while pulsing some Djed through his legs he propelled the man upward and into the lake flinging him a full 15 ft. Though Kyo managed to hide the fact he was rather exausted and felt his legs cringing with the pain of thousands of needles from the exertion and slight overuse of his Djed.

With a splash the man landed into the water, which he promptly began flailing about pitifully in hollering aloud "I CAN'T BLOODY SWIM!". The other drunks gave pause before finally now drawing blades. One pulled a punching dagger, whilst the other the girl intended to fight pulled out a pair of brass knuckles studded with spikes. They looked rather ridiculously over sized for the mans hand but he held them in a firm grip.

Perhaps he wasn't such easy prey after all...

Kyo smiled and jeered "Let'sss Dance Boysss..."

Raven watched in amazement as the large man through hoisted and threw the middle man a huge distance into the lake with relative ease. Luckily, the mask hid the shock on her face, the strength the large man possessed was unbelievable and frankly, quite intriguing. A small smirk appeared on her face as she thought of the uses of such a powerful man, a little muscle always helped to ensure a deal went as planned...and that was when Raven really started thinking like a master thief.

The now drowning man's screams interrupted her thoughts as she was pulled back to the here and now, it appeared that both remaining men had drawn weapons, one a dagger and the other some ludicrously large spiked knuckles, "Meow." she mocked smugly, referring to the man's brass knuckles which resembled cat's claws(barely).

The man was the first to attack, running up toward her and delivering a straight punch aimed at Raven's face. As the man ran Raven took her fighting stance and barely avoided the spiked punch to her face by twisting to the side. She watched as the man's arm flew past her and grabbed it, using the man's own momentum against him. Her right foot kicked at the man's foot as her hands tightened just above his elbow and pulled him across her back sending him flying over her and onto the ground with a loud thud as he rolled.

Her usual confident smile returned as she looked at her work, waiting for the man to regain his footing and continue their little fight. She turned her head curious as to how the large man's fight was going but her attention was drawn instead to the still drowning man who was screaming and flailing in the water. She rolled her eyes as she unhinged her whip and sent it out toward the man who grabbed it within seconds, "What kind of imbecile lives in a floating city but can't swim?" she asked annoyedly as slowly she began to draw the poor man closer and closer to the floating walk way until she finally managed to pull him up onto it.

The man rolled over onto his back shivering and breathing heavily from the exertion of staying afloat, he didn't seem like he would be a threat anytime soon so Raven re-hinged her whip to her hip and returned her attention to her opponent. The was now back on his feet and looking quite enraged, his expression only faltering for a second as he realised that the female thief had just saved his friend. The man shook his head and prepared for his second attack as Raven watched cautiously, those spiked brass knuckles looked extremely dangerous.

Damsel Not So In Distress(Kyodaija)

Postby Kyodaija on July 12th, 2013, 6:46 pm

Kyo faced off now with the man whom carried a punching dagger, both of them pacing around each other waiting to see who would strike first. He seemed rather adept with his blade as he waved it about menacingly, in a circular motion almost as if he were inviting Kyo in for a fight.

Kyo obliged... rushing in he lashed out at the man attempting a running by clothesline to his neck. To which the man rather eloquently for a drunk managed to dodge. Kyo twisted and pivoted his body again using Djed to speed up his movement and hopefully compensate for his usual slowness. He managed to indeed aim true with his punch but the man was still faster as he plunged the dagger into Kyo's side.

With that Kyo lost what control he had over his Djed and his arm snapped over the mans jaw far more powerfully than he had intended. The man was startled but knew the punch was coming so he spun with the hit, still causing him to fall over sprawling out on the ground with Kyo landing with a dull thud next to him.

They both stirred oblivious to how the fight with the thief woman and other 2 was going. Kyo would not let this opportunity go by and crawled over onto the man throwing himself on top of him. The man squirmed and tightly gripped his punching dagger this time aiming for Kyo's throat. Kyo managed to get his hand out to catch the blade as it drove it's way through his hand, which he promptly used to grab the mans hand and immobilize it for the time being.

The man was stubborn, and though not strong enough to hoist Kyo off he squirmed and kicked with the stubbornness that only could come from a man to drunk to feel the burn. Kyo decided the only way was simply to beat him over the head until he submitted. Pounding his fist over and over until the man fell limp, breathing thankfully but unconscious.

Kyo stood and removed the dagger from the mans grasp tossing it to the side. Limping slightly from his wounded hip. He was no doctor but it didn't feel like he hit any organs luckily. He saw the man with Knuckles preparing again to charge the woman. With the man he had tossed into the lake apparently no longer drowning, catching his breath off to the side.

He moved over to the man whom was trying to catch his breath who saw Kyo coming and stood up in terror, arming himself with a blackjack he pulled from the sleeve of his shirt. Once he armed himself he gritted his teeth and stood to face off with Kyo, believing himself ready to fight the giant of a man.

Kyo waltzed over no longer amused with this fight, simply wishing it to be finished having no need to fight weak drunks. He took the mans sap blocking it with his arm which it thudded off of making a dull sound, and while he pulled back for another strike Kyo soundly kicked him in the Knee causing him to buckle over in pain.

Kyo was not a fair fighter, he did what it took to win and that was all. He picked the man up by his hair lacking emotion or remorse and punched him hard in the stomach causing him to puke out what remained in his stomach that evening.

Kyo then found a barrel and tossed the man into it. Sealing the lid over top of it and sat down to enjoy the girls battle with the man wearing knuckles.

Raven could hear the commotion taking place behind her but she didn't dare remove her gaze from her opponent, lest she not be ready for his attack. The man was breathing heavily, furious at being humiliated by a woman, his arms rising for his next attack which came soon after.

Her amber eyes flickered as the man came charging for his second attack which Raven was prepared for, or atleast as prepared as she could be. The enraged drunken man opted for the same plan of attack that had failed him only moments ago, his strategic mind probably disabled by the combination of anger and inebriation his mind was experiencing.

Once again the man attacked with a straight thrust of his fist toward her face and once again Raven avoided by twisting to the side and grabbing his elbow tightly with her left hand and his bicep with her right, yet again using the man's own momentum against him. This time however, instead of tripping and throwing the man to the ground, she spun sending the man running in a semi circle and stumbling back in the direction he had come from.

Unfortunately the man didn't fall to the ground as he stumbled to a halt, but before he could regain his footing Raven had attacked. She wasn't going to allow him a third chance to strike and so, while the man had been stumbling with his back turned to her she had taken off after him and leapt into the air, her leg outstretched. Her foot connected with the back of his head with a loud noise and the man was sent flying forward and onto the ground, unconscious.

Raven panted softly as she admired her work, the confident smirk returning to her deep red lips as she remembered she wasn't the only one fighting. She looked back to see the drunk man beaten and unconscious on the ground and the large man walking toward her with quite a bit of blood. She sighed in relief as she straightened up and made her way over to her downed foe, and began searching through his pockets. Her hand met with the familiar feeling of a coin sack and her smile widened as she pulled the bag of coin out of the pocket and straightened up. "Three out of three." she said to herself before turning and tossing the newly stolen coinsack towards her impromptu comrade.

"Thanks." she said with a wink before turning and walking away the ring of her own newly stolen coinpurse resonating from her side. She had only taken a few steps when she stopped and turned around wanting to speak again. "Nice job by the way, maybe we can work together again sometime." she said as she crossed her arms, contemplating whether or not she should remove her mask.

Kyo caught the coin purse with his good hand, securing it to his belt at his side. The woman had beaten the drunk rather soundly, sprawling him out on the ground in front of her. He was impressed with her aptitude in avoiding a direct fight. And her luck in coming across someone like himself.

He laughed aloud and with a whistful look on his face he said aloud "perhapsss missss cutpurssse. You ssshowed me sssuch an entertaining night that we should meet again sssometime, perhapsss rough up sssome other folksss needing to be relieved of there belongingsss!" He laughed again and retrieved the brass knuckles of the man she had felled. Taking them as an added prize.

As he went to walk away he decided to leave her with a bit of a hint as to what he was... Saying in his snake tongue "I wonder what drunks taste like..." walking away as he left her wondering he said in common "I'll be at the Sssilver Sssliver if you need me".
