Artistry and Kelp Tea (Gale)

So far, the season had been a long one. With so much going on at once, it seemed everything was happening in one instant. Everything was a blur, in a way. Details were long since forgotten and general ideas were cast as far away as possible. Though no matter how hard he tried, they always roamed the back of his minds, acting like rats in the streets. Constantly reminding him and making it all even more so a blur. All in all, it left the blonde awfully confused.

Gale had gone for a long walk around the city today. What day it was, he didn't recall. For it hadn't mattered in recently days. Although it was lingering curiosity, tucked away as his blue eyes looked up at the blue sky above. The few clouds that were present were smooth, smudged looking things. Spread too thinly, almost to the point of nonexistent. But they were there, nevertheless. Kinda like the Quill's Rest in a way. Not many people visited beyond the writers, students, professors, artists, and the book worms. It was a quiet place with no commotion. There wasn't any special events that occur there and there wasn't any extraordinary thing to bring people there. Just one of the many buildings that get taken for granted and is often overlooked by the civilians of the city. Just like those frail clouds. It's quite a sad thing when you think about it.

The Zeltivan continued to walk towards The Quill's Rest, watching those very clouds until the view was blocked by a wooden roof. Looking back to where he was going, the man found himself face to face with the door, walking straight into it, falling back with a loud thud and audible,"Oof!" A thin hand rose to his nose and rubbed the stinging cartilage with furrowed eyebrows. Who put that door there? Oh yeah, it's always been there, Gale. Gods, if the rest of your generation were like you then there would be no hope for them. The artist rolled his eyes at his clumsiness and took the sketch he had been carrying off the ground. He checked for any folded pages or dirt marks before standing up and tucking it under his arm. Now, open the door open first, then you can walk in.

The murderer walked into the quiet abode for all artistic or scholarly souls. As ecpected, it was fairly silent. Only a few soft whispers that made a soft conversation or the flipping of pages. At least The Quill's Rest stayed consistent. It's hard to not feel at ease here. Whether it was peace or whatever emotion you could think of, it was just generally relaxing to come into a place that has stayed the same, even when your life was hectic. Okay, maybe a little more than hectic. Unless getting kicked out of your home, attending a surprise birthday party, getting attacked by pirates, and seeing someone you met once after they come out of a coma wasn't hectic. If it wasn't then he wasn't sure why it felt good to... almost get tea spilled all over you...

Gale's eyes had been wondering to the people sitting down in their own set spots before the managed to look ahead of him again. Of course, what do you know? There is a woman with a cup of tea in front of him. How wonderful. The artist jolted back, attempting to dodge the sloshing and spilling Kelp Tea. The pale hands instinctively snatched the sketchbook under his arm and practically threw his arms in the air to avoid it getting wet either. But it was just a small splash and didn't go any further than her hands.

Wow. Smoooooth, Gale. What a perfect first impression. Let's just flail our arms around when she spills her drink. The only way that you could have made that any better was if you ran around the room scream there was fire. No, take that back. You would trip. You would be running and then you would trip. That's exactly what would happen. You clumsy vagik. Why don't you put your damn arms down and help the woman with he- holy shyke! What was coming off her face?!

The blonde froze with furrowed eyebrows, looking at the smooth horns coming from her temples. Ho-.... Wh-... Bu-... Da petch? The man didn't realize it, but his face slowly contorted into a very, very confused face. It simply looked more confused the longer he stared, which to his dismay, was a fairly long time. Long enough that he completely missed her first statement. The Zeltivan almost missed her question as well, but he managed to snap his face back to her eyes rather than her... horns... "Uuuuuuuuuuh." What? Just because he heard the question didn't mean he comprehended what the question was right away. "Aaaaaaaahhhiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeee," Was all that came out for a while until it clicked in his mind. Oh! Draw! "No." He wasn't drawing right now. No- wait, she was asking if he did draw. "I mean yes." Wait- did she mean did he draw today? In that case,"I mean no" WAIT! - Did she mean what does he draw? No, it couldn't be that, she specifically said do. Then- oh forget it. In a failed attempt to recover the situation, he finished with,"Maybe?"

You know... You still haven't put your arms down yet... Dammit.
