The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Eshe’s understanding was mind blowing. Ollic was in disbelief at how considerate of his feelings she was. Just moments ago she had looked like she were about to berate him simply over his choice of attire, her eyes hostile and hasty to give him a warning or advanced lecture. Yet, now she remained dainty, light-hearted and passionate about working with someone such as himself. It even made it easier on him that she knew a little about his race and the heritage of the Vantha.
Ollic, whom had just chimes ago, regretted his word about inviting a still strange woman to him over for a drink was now at ease with his action. The woman was flustered, much as Ollic usually always is as she contemplated her decisions on whether to accept or deny his invitation. This gave Ollic a little sensation of belonging. Perhaps he truly wasn’t always alone in the dimension of anxiety, confusion and displeasure.
Eshe was certainly caught off guard by his sudden question, and he found her reaction appealing, giving him a singe of warmth in the depths of his heart. It wasn’t that he liked seeing others put on the spot, but he found her stuttering words admirable and fortunate to him.
“I'd like that very much, thank you,” she said to him, her eyes still aflame with the many knowledge of satisfaction that were lit up in Ollic’s. He knew his eyes were a bright shade of blue, sparkling slightly in the aftermath of becoming excited and temporarily happy.
He knew that once he got home tonight, he would be pulling out his hair in anticipation. He knew that Hokato would tell him to calm down, rubbing herself on his leg in a sympathetic gesture, telling him that everything will be alright.
He didn’t even have anything to drink besides milk! Perhaps he could ask her…
“Uhh, do you like milk? That’s all I have at my place, I just realised,” Ollic whispered, scuffing the floor with his shoes. “Unless, there is a place nearby that sells tea or perhaps some wine?”

I am back from my time in recovery and I will be happy to pick up on the roleplaying I left for a while. It feels so good to be back and I am looking forward to expanding Ollic's experience!

Eshe realized his eyes had changed colors again. They were blue now, bright but not pale. Maybe that meant happiness? If it did, she was happy as well. She tucked her hair behind one ear, hands going back to the cloak. She still hadn't put it down yet.
"Yes, I like milk. Lazybones likes milk too. If you'd prefer something else, though, we could go to Mhakula's. The Scholar's Demise sells spirits, if that's what you want. Have you been here long?"
Poor thing was shy about not having much to drink... She felt bad for him, since he probably didn't know his way around much. Eshe wondered if either of the two places allowed pets. Lazybones didn't mind walking on a leash, he followed her without one. She actually had to push him out of the doorway when she left her apartment, lest she shut his head between the frame and the door itself.
He would probably jump up on her the moment she walked in the room, claws latching onto her. Crawl up onto her shoulders and perch there, until she decided to practice her dancing.
"Oh, would you mind if I brought my cat? He's good, he'll follow me without a leash. What day is best for you? |

Ollic was taken aback by Eshe's response. So she liked milk, but that wasn't the point of it. The idea was that she had obliged her willingness to come over when all he had to offer was a few cartons of milk.
When she brought up the idea to go to a place that sold spirits, Ollic was both filled to the brim with fear, yet excited and all for it. He had only taken a look around the city the day he had arrived, partially because he had become lost, but he had never entered any of the buildings to see what it was they were selling.
Eshe asked him whether he had been in Lhavit long, and Ollic's tongue hit the roof of his mouth, ready to tell her that he was only a few days new to such a large city as Lhavit, but she quickly asked about bringing her cat along for the ride.
If they were to go to a tavern or a store where wine and beer were to be sold, wouldn't it be silly to bring a cat? Instead of going to his house after all, would they just head straight to the spirits shoppe? Keeping these antagonizing questions to himself, Ollic remained high in hopes.
"I haven't been here for more than a few days. The travel was long and terribly hot. I've had a few days off until I asked about a job. I still am a little sunburned," he chuckled fervently, touching the back of his neck and feeling a singe of heat spread up his finger tips and down his back.
"The Scholar's Demise sounds fine to me. It sounds more like a study for students at an academy, though."
Bringing a cat along hadn't been planned, but Ollic was open to allow it, his organization needed quality being condemned to the back of his mind.
Being new to Lhavit and not having anything to do besides work, any day was free to him, lest someone he ran into needed his help or he was called in from some emergency.
"I'm free tomorrow if you're up for it," he said to her, his face blushing, but not with discomfort but with excitement. "Would you mind coming to my place first? I would most fortunately need a guide in my condition. I barely new the way from the entrance gates to the Cosmos Centre."
Something about Eshe was familiar, yet Ollic couldn't put his finger on it. The vision he saw couldn't possibly be of coincidence, for all he had studied and learned about the human mind didn't validate the reasoning behind it.
Continuing the conversation, Ollic asked another question, "do you do anything in your free time? I have told you that I like to run my apartment as a simple medical office for minor injuries, but I have yet to know about what you do."
Ollic placed his finger on his mouth and tried to guess, feeling the strength of welcoming overcome all of his senses. "Let me guess," he tried, "You're a bard?"

So he hadn't been in Lhavit long. That made things clearer. He touched the back of his neck, mentioning a sunburn.
"Oh, it's run by two Ethaefal. You can visit day or night, to them it doesn't matter, same for all of Lhavit. I'm sure students visit it, but it's very popular without them anyways. Tomorrow sounds great, by the way. And of course I'd come to your apartment, I fear you'd be lost without a guide!"
She smiled, the same lopsided one as earlier. He looked and felt familiar, too. As if he was part of her past.
"Do you do anything in your free time? I have told you that I like to run my apartment as a simple medical office for minor injuries, but I have yet to know about what you do."
A finger went to Ollic's lips.
"Let me guess, you're a bard?"
Eshe laughed brightly, but shook her head.
"No, I'm not a bard, but I do have an old ocarina. Don't play it much, though. You were close. I dance. Not very good at it, but it's how I express myself. What time tomorrow would you like me to come over? |

So she was a dancer. Her body type portrayed her passion to no extent as she spoke of expressing herself with such a passion. She was slim, slender, yet profoundly muscular. She seemed to love the way dance gave that feeling of freedom, but as soon as she changed the topic to dancing, she changed it right back to a night out with Ollic.
"What time tomorrow would you like me to come over?" She asked him, her voice sparkling a light in his heart. His chest drew out in an even breath and in again as he exhaled.
"How about... Uhh..." He didn't know. For one who needed to plan things a few days in advance, for one who needed to write down what he had to say before speaking to people, for one who didn't even like to intervene in conversations in the first place, he didn't have a time in place for when they could meet.
"Whenever is fine with me. How about, say, fifteen chimes past the 19th bell? Or is that too late?" Ollic chewed on his lip, scuffing the floor with the bottom of his shoe's sole again.
Eshe didn't have time to speak, though, for the secretary Ollic had spoken to when he had entered the Catholicon had eyed the two suspiciously and was now walking toward them with exceptional haste.
"You two, there is a patient up a floor in the second room who needs your help. You are here to work, not to mingle." With her lecture over, she turned on her heel and headed back to her desk, her head held high.
Ollic turned back to Eshe and grinned like a little boy, causing trouble in a candy shoppe.
"Come on," he told Eshe, putting her hand in his. An electric spark ignited between their connection, sending Ollic into yet another vision.
The girl with the bright blonde hair, close to white in contrast with the snow that fell around her, she was falling to the ground, wrapped tightly around in layers beyond layers of winter wear clothing. Her bright blue eyes were watery and turning red as her face grimaced into a look of sadness. She was about to cry when Ollic snapped out of his stupor.
He was sure Eshe had seen something too, that or either she was just blank faced and as confused as he was.
Ollid, being the one who didn't like to elaborate on social matters, shrugged off the flashback and continued up the stairs with his partner's hand in his.
That was, before she had her hand on his shoulder that really told him the truth of his sudden visual dreams.

"Fifteen chimes after the nineteenth be-"
"You two, there is a patient up a floor in the second room who needs your help. You are here to work, not to mingle."
Eshe gave the back of the secretary's head a venomous glare. That lady, with her frizzy hair and arrogance. She didn't like her from the start. Ollic's hand slipped into hers, and she jumped.
A boy, brushing snow off a girl's face. Dark hair, color-changing eyes. A couple years older than her, but not many. Talking to her, telling her to come with him for some tea.
Back to the present. Eshe's mouth was open slightly, staring at Ollic. He started to walk up the stairs, but she grabbed his shoulder.
"Wait, Ollic."
She shivered, as if she felt the cold again. Was it really possible she had met him in Avanthal? It wasn't just a weird feeling of familiarity. She remembered him. A bright smile lit up her face, similar to the smile she had when she was younger, except she had all of her adult teeth. The girl laughed suddenly.
I remember him. |

Ollic turned around to look at Eshe, his eyes like saucers or golem orbs. Had she seen the vision too? Was it not just an ordinary vision but a true flashback? Have these two kindred souls met each other in the past?
Eshe had spoken of learning about the Vantha and living in Avanthal. Perhaps these two met when they were younger?
Ollic's memories were blotted out ever since after the death of his mother. It wouldn't be coincidental if they had met each other in Avanthal when they were mere children.
"Eshe?" Ollic asked in a faint, far away voice. "Did you see that too?"
To avoid any spectacles or scenes made by the two, seeing as how they already have gotten into trouble with the secretary, Ollic continued to rush up the stairs, locating any room in which the two could talk privately.
Unfortunately, Ollic stumbled into a room of which was already occupied by a young man with a blood forearm, a deep gash grown across the flesh of the ulna's position.
"Finally, some doctors! I have been sitting her for the past bell, holding my bleeding arm, waiting for someone to show up and care for me!"
Ollic face was a look of bewilderment, yet Eshe still remained un-phased. A glance to his partner sent a sharp look of statement, meaning to say that to discuss their latest conjoined vision, a night out tomorrow would work perfectly.
In the meantime, professional duties were to be taken care of as Ollic realised he was still holding his healer's toolkit. He noticed Eshe still hadn't taken on her coat either.
Looking back at the patient, after having set down his box of essential medical equipment, Ollic raised the most important question.
"So," he spoke in authority. "What has happened here?"

Ollic had rushed up the stairs before she could respond. She had seen it, but she didn't know he had... It was certainly curious. She followed slowly, poking her head into the rooms to find Ollic. Ah, there he was. And there was another young man, injured. A calm, cool feeling passed over Eshe and she stepped in. Ollic had given her a look, trying to say something, but she didn't understand.
The girl made a beeline for the patient, setting her cloak down to prevent it from getting dirty. She removed his hand from the cut, making a disapproving noise. Ollic had asked what happened.
"Ollic, do you have any gloves? Alcohol would be nice too, and gauze. If you happen to have either tulja or Krolar poultice as well, perfect."
Her own voice had adopted a businesslike tone. When someone was hurt, Eshe was no-nonsense.
"He might need stitches too, so needle and thread."
Ollic would be stitching it up, not her. Considering that he opened his home as a small medical facility for minor wounds, he'd know how to stitch something up. And if he didn't, well, he'd be getting practice in. Eshe examined the wound, checking to see if there was anything stuck in it. She couldn't see anything, but there was blood everywhere. They'd definitely have to clean it out first. Tweezers or something would be nice. |

Being put into overdrive and on automatic maneuver, Ollic began scrounging the unfamiliar room for anything he could use to disinfect the man’s injury. His healer’s kit still remained in his hand, unnoticed, before he set it on the counter next to the sink and began rummaging through it to find any useful supplies.
He had put in a couple medicines he had from his apartment before he came to work today, but nothing of which Eshe had asked for. He had forgotten to bring along his Iwart Ointment, but new that it wouldn’t be necessary seeing as how his cut didn’t look nearly as deep as the medicine should be used for.
He reached in and retrieved some gauze, but he didn't have any alcohol. He added that solution to his mental list of things to search for as he was raiding the room of its medicines and herbs.
“No, but I do have Rugberry tea,” he replied to her, his voice empty of any embarrassment or anxiety. He was put up to a task and when someone needed his help, he was going to be there to help them. “However, I don’t think it will help him fast enough.”
Ollic threw a pair of sanitary, plastic gloves over to the roller seat behind Eshe and told her to put them on.
“I would like you to try to see if there is any sign of infection. I don’t want to sew up something that has been imbedded with any objects,” and turning to continue looking through cabinets he mumbled more to himself than anyone else, “There has got to be some sort of medicine in here somewhere.”
He continued to ramble silently to himself, listing off the very many different ointments and teas and applicants they could use to treat this man’s wound. His finger trailed heavily down the list of labels before Ollic stopped on one that read Krolar Poultice. He read off the symptoms it was known to help.
Krolar Poultice:
A thin paste made from mixing ground bark from a Krolar tree; a deciduous tree common to the Sylira Region with various crushed wildflowers. This medicine numbs pain and increases overall healing rates of all manner of wounds when combined with adequate rest.
He swiftly took it down from the shelf and set it on the counter below before reaching up again and removing the alcohol he had seen from its position in the cabinet as well.
Moving over to the left, Ollic turned on the sink’s faucet and began to clean his hands, letting the warm water singe his hands, cleaning them of all bacteria. He dried them after lathering them with soap and rinsing them again before he returned his attention from sanitary precautions.
Separating his attention from the scavenger hunt of finding helpful medicines and cleaning hands, Ollic played around in his toolkit in search of some thread and a sterile needle. He briskly lifted out a ball of thread and set it down next to the Krolar Poultice, the needle soon to follow.
“I don’t think masks are necessary,” he said through his teeth, “but you should probably wash your hands whether you are wearing those gloves or not.”
He handed Eshe the cataplasm and the bottle of alcohol and rolled over another chair for him to sit on, needle and thread in one hand and a roll od gauze in the other. He did his best to try to distract the patient from his wound which oddly had drawn his attention.
“Don’t play with it,” he told him, having the patient's wild eyes snap up to look into Ollic's. Thinking over which introduction to say, Ollic went with his gut. “This is Doctor Czardas and I am Doctor Rimesage."
The man, who didn't even appear to be near twenty years old looked back down at his wounds again, losing interest in Ollic's words.
"Does it hurt? If it hurts we have some medicine for that. What’s your favourite colour? Are you athletic and adventurous, is that how you received such a nice gash?”
He might be anti-social off of work, but man was he rocking the socks off of everyone he met during medical hours with conversation.
I am back from my time in recovery and I will be happy to pick up on the roleplaying I left for a while. It feels so good to be back and I am looking forward to expanding Ollic's experience!

Rugberry tea, Rugberry tea... What was its uses? Probably speeding up healing. A pair of gloves landed on the chair beside her.
"Soon as I stop the bleeding, I'll clean it. Keep this elevated."
The last sentence was directed at the patient. Eshe stood and walked over to the sink, washing her hands. She was one step ahead of Ollic. Going back to the man, she kneeled down and slipped on the gloves. The girl laughed mentally at the introductions.
We aren't doctors yet, Ollie.
She didn't know why she thought of him as Ollie. She question was shrugged off and she placed her hands on the wound. After another half-bell they came away, and she reexamined the wound. It didn't look as if anything was stuck in it. Eshe lead the patient to the sink and rinsed the cut thoroughly. Taking some gauze, she soaked it in alcohol and put it over the wound.
"This is going to sting, but it'll be less prone to infection. Now hold still."
The soaked gauze fell onto the tissue. Eshe applied more pressure, then peeled it off a few chimes later. She stripped off the gloves and tossed them into a bin, along with the used part of the bandage.
"It should be clean now, Doctor Rimesage. Work your stitching magic."
Eshe stood back with a flourish, gesturing to the man. |
