Sei was running. The thud of his paws agaist the dirt felt great. He gained a surge of adrenaline, and doubled his speed. He growled ferociously, snapping his massive jaws together. He could feel the soil and clumps of dirt flatten beneath his mighty paws, as he ripped down the mountains, in hot pursuit of an animal. He jumped over a fallen tree, and closed the distance between him and his prey. He was directly behind it now, all he had to do was get on top of it and sever the jugular vein in it's throat.
The buck tried to pick up the pace. it was covered in scratcheds, and on it left hind leg, blood dropped to the ground, yet it continued to run. Sei was tired of the petchin' deer. It made a sharp left turn, and as he turned the corner something better caught his eye. He stopped, panting, and looked at the object of appeal. A boar. There was a free boar to be caught. He whipped his head around when he realized he was already chasing a deer. The deer was gone. It had slipped away. Petchin' fantastic. I wrestle with it, get kicked in the side, and give it an injured leg, only to lose it... Shyke. He thought, darting his eyes around the area.
Sei found no trace of the deer, and instead set his sights on the boar. He sized up the measurements with a glance. It was a least two hundred ninety pounds, a nice find indeed. He lowered his body an stalked closer to the boar. He keeped his ears alert, and kept his eyes on the target at all times. When he was a few yards away, he layed low in the grass until the boar suddenly lifted his head. He quickly went completely still, and waited for the boar to continue grazing. He closed the distance and stood completely still.
Sei leapt from the grass, unsheathed his claws, and clung to the boar with all of his might. In an instant the boar was bucking and kicking, and going wild, desperately trying to remove the threat. The boar was on the strong side, and Sei quickly lost his grip. The boar bucked his side, throwing Sei off, and running away. Regaining himself quickly, Sei sprang into action, clawing at the boars' leg before it could run. The boar squealed, trying to keep itself from falling, knowing that if it was forced to the ground it was dead. He quickly clawed the boars side with all his might, forcing his claws to dig deep into the boars skin.
The boar cried out in pain and kicked at Sei desperately, and took off. The boar was no injured, and of course Sei was exhausted, but he sprang off after the boar anyway. He charged madly after the boar, glowling viciously. He folled the boars movements, and veered off into the trees. After a while the boar slowed to a jog, then to a trot, then to a walk, and finally to a stop. The threat was gone, and that's all that mattered.
Sei had stopped running when he'd veered into the trees. He clawed his way up a nearby tree and hopped from tree from tree until he was on looming over the boar. He quietly moved through the tree and made his was silently to the ground. He watched as the boar scanned the area nervously. It was time for round two. He surged for the boar with a low growl, and snapped shut his jaws, sinking his teeth fiercely into the boars' side. He clung to it as the boar shrieked in surprise and pain, beginning it's wild bucking and kicking to throw Sei off. His teeth were losing there grip, so Sei clawed at the boars skin, and finally found a hold, his claws sinking into the boars skin.
Sei's grip loosened, as the buck began to use clumsy movements. The boar was losing to much blood, and it was obviously dizzy, yet it managed to throw him off again. His side was already sore, and falling on it made it worse, but Sei stood quickly and wrapped his arms around the boar, gripping it's legs with his claws, and sunk his teeth into it's neck.
More painful squeals filled Sei's ears, and the boar jerked to his advantage, causing Sei's teeth to sever it's jugular. The boar fell with him on top of it, it's eyes rolling into the back of it's head. He dropped the boar and groaned. Now that the boar had been taken down, he had to drag it back to the city. And there was nothing he could do about it. He was out of breath and exhausted. Time to go back.. He thought, and he began to drag the boar back the way he came.
