Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Domino Effect

Duce entered through the doors of the Kendoka Sasaran eager to get started on his Lakan training. He made his way over to Mizra Aqdas who was circling his students and correcting those who made minor mistakes. He knew this wasn't going to be easy. He walked up to the Akalak who was taller than him by a few inches and introduced himself. "Hello, my name is Duce it's a pleasure to meet you." After getting all of his information on what weapon he wanted to train in, and getting a strange look after responding Lakan, He was put into the group with the other students most of them being Akalak half his size and humans learning how to use Lakan, swords, staffs, and other weapons.

Duce followed the movements of the other trainees with Lakans, trying to get in step with them when he moved the wrong way bumping into another student weilding a sword. "Sorry about tha..." he started to say until his words were cut off by him getting his with the wooden weapon. 'Ow what was that fo..." he was hit again by the same student and from behind as well from another student he bumped into which he made bump into another causing a domino effect and an all out brawl between every one.

Duce had no clue what was going on as he dodged wooden swords, staffs, Lakans gripping his own trying to comprehend what was happening. He watched out the corner of his eye as yet another stundent bumped into another and the two started fighing with their weapon. He understood now. If it was a fight they wanted, then it was a fight they were gonna get. He held his wooden Lakan how he had seen the others doing so and went into the group. Wasting no time the students came for him. He ducked under one sword, but was caught by a staff then pivoted around a staff, to be jabbed by a Lakan.

He was surprised at how skilled the others were as he tried to catch back up too the pace that things were going. "Focus" he told himself as he purposely bumped an andult Akalak weilding a sword. As he espected the Akalak turned around and attacked with a diagnol strike. Duce closed his eyes preparing to get hit once again when the sound of wood on wood made him open his eyes to the sight of the sword weilding Akalak falling backward onto a human with a mean staff. He had did it. He blocked an attack. Now to block an attack and deal one of his own was the hard part.

He rushed the same Akalak with the sword and swung his wooden Lakan striking the sword and being pushed back into another trainee. Now he had two attackers, one with a sword, the other a Lakan as well. Duce put all his thought on how he was going to attack based on the two. The sword was longer and heavier than the Lakan which was light and short. If they both attack ed at the same time, he would have to block the Lakan first, then get out of the way before the sword finished it travel to hit him. He was happy for himself as he thought out his strategy. Now the question was how to get both of them to attack at the same time.

The three students had now gained all the attention in the room including the instructors as they circled the room. Duce was nervous, what if he messed up? What if they didn't fall for his trick and he was left wide open? Killing the butterfies in his stomach, he quickly shifted his feet as if he were moving foward. The Lakan wielder reacted first moving in to hit Duce who had already blocked the oncoming attack spinning his own Lakan disarming the trainee and dealin a stab to the chest of his own and picking up the dropped Lakan holding it at the ready with his other hand.

The Drykas stood there sword in hand as if he had already knew that Duce was awaiting him to attak at the same time as the other opponent. Duce knew that now it was all or nothing. He rushed the male Drykas holding one Lakan to attack with, and the other to defend. He wasted no time attacking only to have it blocked, to which he used the other to jab the Drykas to put him on the floor. The Drykas was skilled with his sword and in two quick movements blocked the second Lakan, and hit Duce in the leg thus making him fall and land flat on the floor. He accepted defeat as the Drykas held out a hand to help him up. He may have lost today, but with a lot more practice, he would be a master of the Lakan.

Notes :
I've mentioned this before, but be aware for the future that we can only award 1 point per skill per post, so it's very advantageous to have multiple posts in a solo.

That said, I liked your portrayal of Duce's inexperience here. He didn't really know what he was doing, but figured it out logically and not too easily.

If you have any questions or concerns about what was awarded, please don't hesitate to PM me.
