Sei Tendo 57 of Summer, 513AV |
Sei held Breezes' harness firmly, guiding the horse to a nice clearing. Yesterday he had bought a 3 year old windrunner, and had given it the name breeze. He held a sattle in one hand, and a harness in the other, as the walked deeper into the Kabrin roads. After awhile, he stopped and tied the harness to a tree, and he spoke gently, rubbing the horses' snout. "Easy boy." He said, walking to the right side of the horse, and putting the saddle on it's lower back. He stepped on one of the footholds shakily, repeating he'd be fine in his mind. When he was fully ontop of the saddle, he leaned left and right, trying to get used to the feeling of it. He braced himself and stroked the horses neck, speaking softly. "There we go.." He said.
After sitting on the saddle for a while longer, he dismounted, and untied the harnes. He held it firmly mounted the horse once more. Now that the horse could move a little, his chest clinched but he held on to the rope and whipped it lightly. "Alright breeze, let's try this out!" He called. The horse nayed at this, and started to trott slowly back toward the gates. He tested the rope, and tugged to the left. The horse turned slowly, and he presses his legs against the saddle, and clenched the harness as Breeze changed directions. Breeze turned to the left slowly, and Sei let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. He relaxed a bit and tried going to the right. The horse obeyed and turned toward the right, and he stroked Breezes' neck. "Thata boy." He mused.
He then yanked the harness lightly to stop the horse, and as before, Breeze obeyed. Breeze stopped trotting and stood still. Sei liked this, so he whipped the harness, and sent breeze running. He nayed for all to hear, and galloped towards the city gates. While he was running, Sei would test his turning and pull the harness a certain way. He curved around trees, and was closing the distance between himself and the city gates. He halted Breeze and hopped off his mount, he stood shakily, and his legs felt like lead. He wasn't used to riding a horse, and his legs were still trying to adjust. He grabbed the harness and walked the rest of the way on foot. |
