A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

1st Day of Fall 513 A.V
This was certainly a leap for the young Lazarin. After seeing the young Kalina change right before his very eyes from a ocelot to a human was amazing. If he could implement such magic on the battlefield he would be a sight to behold. A sight to fear.
So he was very aware of Luvet and his teachings, as his Uncle Thaedus was a teacher at the Institute of Learning as well. So he picked out a class for private study with the young minded but old Luvet. Before Luvet had Sevris meditate for several hours each day until the beginning of fall. Sitting in class Luvet began to tell him the difficulties of Morphing. "To morph, is to lose ones self image. They must believe they what they believe they are. "
He paced back and forward. They were in a nicely lit dungeon accommodated to his uses. "You are still a novice to the world of magic, having not taken a discipline before. But that does not mean you cannot gain the mental prowess to overcome these barriers. Now take the model we studied together and will your Djed to become the wolfs. Simply concentrate on the claws for now."
Sevris did not have many models he could attribute to the session except a Dire wolf that he had slain himself. He preserved the head and the body was brought back for whatever experiments they wrought. The image of the great wolf and its spawn lay heavily on his mind.
He did as he was told. Saying not a word, but trying to access his Djed for the first time. It was a surreal feeling when finally began feel it, excited but not deterred. He felt the magic began to manifest itself around his hands. Sevris did not open his eyes for all his concentration was needed.
He heard stop after several minutes went by. "Look at your hands."
Sevris took a look at both of his hands, and to his amazement his nails were curved and slightly longer, turning into the claws he imagined from the Dire wolf. "Its a start. Try again. I want a hand slightly morphed by the time you leave." |

Despite Luvets constant prodding. He faired no better the first time then the next several. It was a hit or miss with the morphing ability. He found it at times he could mold the Djed to his whim but then it would slip his grasp yet again. Frustrating as it was, his anger did not help with the process. Something Luvet astutely pointed out, "That is the reason for the consistent meditation. The fasting. These should already tell you that with time, you will achieve what you sought."
He poised himself in front of the Lazarin. "If enlightenment is what you want. Then it shall come, through tribulation and meditation. Such is the same for power, which is what you seek."
Power. It was the driving force behind most of his motives. His goals. Being the resilient soldier he was, a form of happiness for him was destroying his enemies. He was not born for the peaceful world. He needed chaos. He needed Rhysol.
And Rhysol saved him. Now he needed to do more. Sevris had much to prove for this honor. Again he pounded on his mental resolution. Concentrated on his Djed as instructed, and began to form his hands into the claws and paw. An entire minute went by before he looked without instruction.
To his slight enjoyment, his right hand had morphed slightly. Instead of trying to get both of his hands to morph he concentrated on just his right hand. There he was starting to see his hand had changed. The claws and paw he had pictured was not what he created. But he managed to pull dark fur over his hands, and the claws were small extensions. Improvement. |

Hello Sevris! I found a big problem in this thread that simply can not be overlooked. Morphing is hard to start. It's stated in the lore that to start, you need to meditate enough to separate mind and body. Only then can you seriously start morphing. I saw none of this in the thread, and instead Sevris simply 'started'. It need a lot more detail and description of how Sevris is morphing, and the whole meditation part is missing.
Also, the memory of a model, especially for the first time, is very uncertain... and kind of a bad way to start, considering you probably don't remember very much.. but that's not the big part.
Please edit this, and fix the changes, and I can lift the intervention and grade this.
Thanks!
