Fall, 15th 513 AV
Cayden awoke as the inside of his tent heats up from the outside sun. He rolled off his mat and stands up stretching inside the tall and fairly spacious, four person tent that was located on the outer edges of Tent City. He rubs a hand over a scar on his arm, thinking back to his childhood, "Enough of that." He says shaking his head as he gets dressed in a green cotton shirt and light brown pants. Then he slips on a pair of black boots that looked ordinary, but he knew what most didn't. In the toes of the boots were razor sharp blades that he could use with efficiency. He leaves his cloak folded up on his mat inside the tent, and steps out into the sunlight squinting as he does so.
Once his eyes adjusted he looked around at the hustle and bustle of the small encampment of tents located on the outskirts of that lawless city called Sunberth. He makes his way through the aisles of tents careful to not disturb anyone that were still in their tents. A few minutes later he made his way out of the tents and headed into the city, making his way to the center. His aim was the Pig's Foot Tavern, where he thought he might be able to earn a coin or two, dishonestly of course.
He walked through the streets of the run down city looking about him to make sure he wasn't being followed or too heavily observed. He watched as crowds of people moved through the streets heading towards their various jobs whether they be honorable or not. A few minutes later he walked up the steps leading to the bar.
Once inside he sat down at a table in one of the more secluded spots of the tavern, so that he could watch the days patrons move around the tavern, thinking to pick an easy mark that got just a little too drunk.
A barmaid walked up to him, "Can I get anything for you?"
"I guess an ale" Cayden says with a smile, although in his mind he thought it a bit early to drink. he just didn't want to look too suspicious.
The lady walks off and returns a few moments later with a bottle of ale, "Thanks." Cayden says and she walks off to tend to one of the other customers in the tavern.
Cayden sets the mug down without drinking any of it. He needed to stay alert. He sat there for quite sometime, but buisness was slow in the morning so he decided to take a walk. Cayden walked up to the maiden and gave her the money that she required for the ale and walked out the door.
