Time Stamp 30th Summer 506 It was hot. Taylani did not like it when it is hot, her red hair hanging in twin braids down the back of her head seemed more like weights then braids when it was hot. Her little lips pouted as she sat in the chair across from her mother, her blue eyes dark with a scowl. Her arms crossed petulantly though she did not go so far as to whine or swing her legs about. Instead she continued to look at the instruments and materials on the table, an older red headed woman sitting across in her own chair. "Taylani, it is best that you are well rounded. You can not be simply dancing all day long. You will find a day that Dance might not serve you." Angelia said in a chiding voice, though she did not raise said voice.
Taylani knew better to roll her eyes or poke her tiny tongue out, though she had to fight back that urge. She wanted to be outside, she wanted to be learning her turns, she wanted to be anywhere but in this stuffy room. However her mother insisted that she attend her while she crafted jewelry at least once a day. Taylani didn't know why, she was going to fly in the Amphitheater in Riverfall, she was going to amaze everyone in theaters in Syliras. She wasn't going to be making stupid rings and stupid amulets and stupid bracelets, she wasn't!
Mindful of Taylani's wayward attitude, Angelia smiles softly but looks down with love at the tiny red head child that was so much like she was when she was that age. Tayla was her blessing, and her little miracle baby that she thought she would never have. It was hard for her to be strict with her because of that, but she managed only because she knew that it served Taylani much more then if she had been even more pampered. "Now watch, no..really watch." The older woman spoke quietly as she picked up a single wire, shiny and silver. She then selected a blue stone, one that was not perfectly round but was irregular. "This is important, for this is a pair. Unlike rings and amulets, earrings much match exactly."
Angelia lays the length of silver wire down, and then puts the turquoise stone in the middle of the wire. Picking up a pair of pliers, the woman presses one finger on one side of the wire to hold it steady, and the other is picked up with the pliers. A gentle pull is given so that one end is wrapped over the top of the stone.
