This is Falyndar at its finest. Danger lurks everywhere - in the ground, in the trees, in the bush. Only the strongest survive...
It is said that the hatred between Dhani and Myrians has existed long before the barbarians were united under the leadership of their Goddess Queen. Since Myrians nor even the Dhani can remember a time when there was peace in the jungle, this ideal has reigned true in the City of Bones just as it has in Zinrah, and each party is content to let their hate fuel the strange war of attrition that has held true for centuries.
The Dhani do not keep the history of the puny beings that fought each other before joining under Myri's banner or were crushed beneath it, and Myrians were never a race focused on preserving their history before the light of their Goddess Queen fell upon the Jungle Wilds. Stories are passed on through dance, song, and fire side tales...but there are stories much older, carved in rock in deep places that are untouched even by Semele's influence, and that a few know.
There are many ruins of days gone by, of the races that were crushed by the Myrians, of the human races that became the supreme power of the jungle when they were a pitting mass of warring entities, most are sunken below the earth, or broken beyond repair. They are all referred to as the Ruins of Old, but one monument in particular, surprisingly whole compared to it's brethren, contains the stories and legacies of a time long gone, and of powers lost to the Valterrian.
It is a massive place, long arching halls, most of which are collapsed, strange barriers blocking certain corridors, and creatures lurking within its halls who have never seen Syna's light. If historians could theorize upon the location perhaps they would say that it was made upon the cusp of Myri's glory, or it was once the temple in a great city of one of the races that Myrians destroyed. The legends of this place are dipped in horror, gore, and magic, however, of that all can agree.
It is located somewhere between Taloba and Zinrah, partially sunk into the earth, hidden in the thickness of the Jungle Wilds, yet any who have found the ruins swear that once you have found it, there's no mistaking it...yet so many pass right by.
The Stories :
Every time someone visits the Ruins of Old, they unlock a new story associated with the spot. They can write it themselves or request one of a local ST:
You are not required to have a certain skill set to find this location, just make sure if you have any special plans for this locale to shoot me a PM with a overview of what you plan to do and I'll either approve of deny your request.
