Crypt was seriously considering an addition to his name.
Crypt Babysitter Insatem would be simply awful though.
He had spent the entire morning entertaining four children, ages five to eight. He had awoken at dawn, eager to begin another day at the Nitrozian estate. There was always something new he would find out, whether it was a new, fascinating dish or a particularly intriguing carving of Ravok in miniature.
Today was different.
It wasn't that he enjoyed playing with children - he did enjoy doing so, always being struck by the sheer wonder and innocence of the little tots, but some of them were frightening.
Rhysol-like, even.
The Nitrozian matriach, Milina, had requested for him to entertain the children until lunchtime while another family member supervised him (and by that, she actually meant reading a book and talking to himself every now and then), since she knew of his mark. Being a retainer, he had no choice but to agree.
They were quiet enough when he was telling a story about Alvadas. There was plenty of excitement there, but thankfully nothing else.
The chaos, one perhaps worthy of Rhysol, began when he starting pulling out the big guns. The illusions.
One minor illusion was all it took. Crypt had began another story, greatly encouraged by the responses of the children, and created a simple image of a chicken.
All four leaped towards it, bowling over Crypt in the process. The illusion disappeared once he hit the floor, and the five-year old began crying. In an attempt to sooth the toddler, Crypt started creating several butterflies that flitted around her head. This led to another chain reaction, and hilarity ensued.
Several bells passed, and Crypt was finally relieved of the budding Rhysol followers. The family member remained in the room, still reading a book. Crypt took a seat on a couch opposite him, glaring every now and then at the unaffected Nitrozian while regaining his strength for his duties after a tea break.
