As Nhazan informed him that he would ask for what every man desired, Valerius arched an eyebrow, and then he replied, „I doubt that there is one thing that every man desires, Master Nhazan. There are some men that want money and some that don’t care about it. Some men wish for power, and some couldn’t care less. Some men wish for health, and some torture their body on purpose. Some want women, and some don’t. Every man is different, Master Nhazan.“

„I would thus appreciate it if you could give me a hint, but if you’d rather keep the exact nature of this favour a secret, I respect your decision.“ After he had said that, the Nitrozian was quiet for a moment as he thought about whether he had any more questions. Should he ask for an even more in depth explanation of Voiding? Ask to be taught the basics so that he could understand what had almost happened to his grandfather better?

He decided that he would do neither – for the time being – as he didn’t want to strain the mage’s patience any further. He cast a glance at Lazarin who was watching him rather closely, before he turned to Master Nhazan again. „No, I don’t have any more questions“, he told him. „I thank you for your time, Master Nhazan.“

Nhazan nodded at Valerius' decision. "I hope you find that information useful" he commented with a smirk, twiddling his fingers as he watched the Nitrozian. "And don't forget the favor - no hints yet. Good bye." With that, he left his own chair, moving into a back room which seemed to be full of books and other odd tools. The door shut with a thud, just as Lazarin pushed himself up from his own chair.

"Well, goodbye Mister Nitrozian. Good luck on your search." Instead of leaving himself, he waved Valerius out of the room, before following and taking another passage other than the way out. The young man would be left to find his way out on his own.
