Time Stamp 31 Fall
Once again Taylani finds herself unable to sleep as night time closed around the tent city. She is not sure if it is due to anxiety or stress or a myriad of emotional states that she runs the gambit of but all she knows is that she finds herself sitting beneath the light of Leth more often then not. It seemed that her body did not need as much sleep out here perhaps because she was rarely sluggish and tired the next morning even though there has been so many of these late nights. Perhaps because her body is not getting as much of a rigorous work out as it had in Syliras.
That thought needed to be pushed from her mind and quickly, so she picked up her jeweler kit once more and examined the contents. She had been busy this season, making rings and bracelets and necklaces. Taylani recognizes that she has thrown herself into another skill since Dance was no longer available to her but she didn't mind. It kept her hands busy as well as her mind. She knew that she didn't have the skill her mother had, crafting did not come as easy for Taylani as Dance had but what Taylani lacked in natural talent she more then made up for in sheer determination.
Today she had contemplated on making adornment that was not, perhaps, the normal accessory one might think of. So this evening she has two long thin strips of rawhide leather that she had procured from Fallan. They were scraps he had cut away from one project or another but they seemed to work for what she wanted to do.
Braiding, particularly hair and leather, was important to Drykas she had found and she decided she was going to make a hair accessory. This one would be able to wound around a braid and tied, or even braided into the braid. She might have kept this for herself except she steadfastly refused to braid her hair since coming to Endrykas.
Her red hair, instead, is left to hang in loose flowing locks of brilliant almost orange color that shimmered in the light. Though on nights it is still a bright shade with no light to reflect the golden strands it looks a shade darker. Her garb was the plain dress that she had been captured in, though now she had a new outfit. That new outfit was strictly when necessary and not any other time for it looked too Drykas for her liking.
Taylani looked over the collection of stones, beads, and bone that she had the option of using in this craft, and she picked out a stone that was a pale shade of green. It was a stone she had happened to find laying on the ground in one of her nights out here, though obviously not in this same place for they never stayed long. It was half buried in the ground and she had had to clean it up but she liked the color on it. It had no holes bored in it, so she would have to try and do that herself which would take a lot of muscle power even with the small saw she had in her kit.
