Time Stamp 69 Fall 513
The city was busy as usual, the late evening air filled with the sounds of people putting down stakes and setting up their homes for the evening. Taylani, her mind troubled as it so often was these days, moved toward the area where they had kept their horses. She knew Fallan had already come to care for Stormdancer, he had just returned so she took the time to come out here to see her horse Freedom. She wasn't exactly keeping the horse a secret really, though she told Fallan she was simply taking a walk.
The horses were roaming in the enclosed area, grazing and nickering softly. Taylani had lost most of her fear of these beasts, though she still did not mount Freedom. The people tasked with watching over the mounts saw her coming and already left out the brush and an odd looking spike-looking thing. She did not like the look of that, it looked ..well barbaric.
As she reached the corral the same Drykas who she had paid for the horse stepped around with a smile. He was kind, and if she didn't know how to do something he was more then willing to teach her. Yet one more of those contradictions that weighed so heavily on her mind. How can she hate these people but still find many of them to be kind, helpful, and generous.
Taylani smiles in return, her normal wan half-smile that she gives the Drykas. She wondered briefly if her lips would crack from disuse if she actually smiled a real smile. but that was neither here nor there. She closed the distance and let one finger stroke across the wicked spike looking thing. Drykas cared for their horses so she didn't really think it was for what it looked like it was for. "Clean have to, Freedom's hooves." The Drykas man says, causing Taylani to raise her brow but followed the man. How can this spike thing ...wait she remembered. Fallan had used one to dig at Stormdancer's hooves, clearing them of any debris that might stick in the grooves.
