Time Stamp 7 Fall 513
The evening air was cloying and hot, at least to the dancer who chafed under the captives pavilion roof. The fires of the night were burning low, and other then what she had heard someone use the term “The Watch” most Drykas seemed to Taylani to be asleep. She had waited for this, not because she had planned on escaping, nothing so foolish as that. Instead it was because she wanted to get out from under the constant eye of someone. If it wasn’t Drykas watching her it was the other captives. It was beginning to make her feel claustrophobic which was absurd since they were in the middle of wide open without a wall in sight.
So she rolled out of her bedroll, already fully dressed in the plain unbleached serviceable dress that she had been kidnapped in. Her red hair is loose and free, falling half way down her back without a ribbon or curl to tame it. She didn’t know what she was going to do. She had been hinted to that the Drykas simply wanted her to join their culture, to join them in Endrykas to bolster their flagging numbers. That didn’t sound too bad, as long as they allowed her to send word to her parents then she might even be able to subsist out here. It is not as if she was just out for a stroll in the afternoon, rather then she was forcibly expelled from Syliras.
The knights were so touchy, and Taylani could be a bit tempermental. With a sigh she slips out of the exit of the tent under the light of Leth hanging high in the sky. She stands there, her face uplifted to the starry sky with her eyes closed, enjoying the night air against her sunburned face. The burn was slowly healing and no longer caused her pain unless she touched it overly much.
Tonight she had determined she was going to practice her trade. It had been many long days since she has practiced, and even if she were to live in a tent out here she wanted to dance. That is all she really wanted to do. If they let her keep her Dance she would learn to kill animals and live in tents the rest of her life. Though something told her that it would not be so simple as that. For one they were often talking about her being given a family, she had a family. She didn’t want another one. She didn’t quite understand how that worked anyway.
Let them try and force a family on her, she would play along if need be as long as they let her dance. Thinking of dance, Taylani remembers what she was originally planning on doing out here.
First come the stretches, it has been far too long since she has done any sort of dancing and her muscles needed to stretch.
First thing she did was spread her feet until they were shoulder width a part, then she started with her hands crossed downward in front of her and pulls them slowly up by raising them outward, then bringing them together high above her head. She holds this for a long moment feeling the muscles in her arms, torso and back stretching gently.
