Searching for Adventure

[Mira Clearwater]

Right now I'm exploring all of the options I could take with Mira. Before I even begin writing, Mira already has a lot of things that have happened to her. She's already lost both parents, and as a young woman she isn't married, which leads to financial struggle. I could have her stay in Syliras and be a boring server, renting out a room month after month in the off-chance I'll find some excitement in Syliras, which isn't likely. Or, I have half a mind to just buy a horse and set out for the wilderness, to see the sights of this world. While this is incredibly dangerous, you have to understand that Mira has never really been outside Stronghold and the urge to get out before she dies there is killing her. I also have a crazy urge to join a crew on a ship and sail. Maybe go on a quest to search for her father?

There's so many different possibilities. Mira doesn't have lot of complexity to her character right now and I'd like a chance to flesh out her personality and all of that. If anyone has any ideas or maybe you're looking for the same thing as Mira, pm me or respond to this thread.

Are you opposed to playing the damsel in distress, at least for a first meeting? I'm new too and I've got a hankerin' to rescue me some damsels.

I'm planning on dropping my dude into Sunberth, it seems more in need of someone ridiculously chivalrous than Syliras. 'Sides, 'hive of scum and villainy' makes for a more interesting city of adventure than 'largely civilized, run by stodgy knights'.

What if Mira takes off from (Syliras/Ravok/Zeltiva/Wherever) in search of AAAAADVENTURE but gets waylaid by bandits or critters along the road. Then Sir Biff swoops in to do some swashbuckling! And then, because he's an idiot, he insists on escorting Mira to the 'safety' of nearby Sunberth.

Just a note, if Mira bought a horse and rode out into the wilderness, unless she has some severe amount of wilderness survival ..she would be dead fairly soon.

Joining a crew on a ship is probably a better option, or joining a caravan and heading to Sunberth if you want danger to Mira's person Or you could take a trip to Kenash and stay there for more then 30 days to get a taste of their true hospitality (seriously don't do this unless you want to be made a slave)

Of course if you leave Syliras and enter the Sea of Grass you might run into Drykas looking for a new captive...and some children...
