World's End Grotto 12th of Fall, 513 AV "Watch that pie boy!" Elan startled and turned quickly to peek through the eye slit to check the pie in the oven. He had lost himself for a moment in putting together a rather delicious gravy, complete with little bits of egg and chicken. The pie in question looked done, Elan carefully removed it with some thick rags covering his hands, he grinned as he set it gently on the cooling rack. It was beautiful. He turned back to his gravy, he turned back moments later to find the pie gone. "Anyone see where that pie went?" He said, not quite yelling to be heard over the kitchen noise. "Serving girl took it, said the customers were getting antsy. Maybe next time you'll cook a decent pie the first time instead of wasting good supplies." Elan scowled, "Maybe I would if someone would label their spice containers properly." The cook glared at him with a gaze that would freeze magma, Elan wasn't fazed. They stood like that for a moment or two. "Get back you lazy bum, I ain't paying you to stare." The cook went back to chopping vegetables with a speed Elan envied. Elan smiled to himself and drizzled gravy over a plate of meat and potatoes before setting it on the 'wait' shelf. "Meat and potatoes with gravy!" He yelled, just before the plate was snatched away by a serving girl. Elan began the next task, work in a kitchen was endless, and he loved it.
