3rd Winter, 513AV
Viridae pulled his scarf tighter about his neck as a cold breeze nipped at the bottom of his ears. It had been far too long since he and Seivis had ventured to the surface together, and the change of scenery was nice, Even if they hadn't ventured far from the Woven Gates.
Sunlight delicately crested the horizon, casting short silhouettes from the slight tree cover. Viridae crouched and began to strike his flint near a short stack of tinder. Seivis on the other hand, was pacing restlessly behind him in an attempt to stay warm, despite the fur coat he had gotten her two years back. After the fire was lit, she crouched beside him and admired the skyline, pale blue and burning slight yellow with the aging rise of Syna.
"It's definitely cold, brother," she said quietly through chattering teeth. Cold? He'd been cold before. This was fine.
"I'm only wearing a leather coat. You should be baked in that monster," He replied with a smirk.
"Whatever. So what are we eating?"
Viridae dug around his pack for a moment and retrieved a thin looking quail. "Good enough for you, Bittavis?"
