This lazy agricultural settlement rests on the swampy shores of the Middle Suvan at the delta of The Kenash River. The River's slow moving bayou waters have bred a different sort of people - rugged, cultured, and somewhat violent. Sprawling plantations of tobacco and cotton grow on the outskirts of the swamp in the rich Cyphrus soils, while the city itself curls around the bayou and spawns decadence and sins of all sorts. Life is slower in Kenash, but the lack of pace is made up for in the excesses of food and flesh in a city where drinking, debauchery, gambling, slavery, and overbearing plantation families dominate the landscape.

Accidental Aviary Business Connection (Haeli please)

The Askara Aviary hadn't been established very long and it was one start up problem after another. Whist hoped fervently that this wasn't a harbinger of things to come in the future. Inventory was still coming in, while the previous inventory was piling up and the birds were getting more than a little restive. While others had the luxury of inanimate 'goods,' Whist had a fine stock of birds of all types, sizes, genders, ages, development and training.

As if the thought of all the birds got him worked up, an orphaned chick chirped from a small pocket within his shirt.

"Alright Dynasty, settle down now." The simple words were authoritative but soothing for the baby and he settled down again. Whist gave a small grin as only the birds in his shop had witnessed like no human on Mizahar.

"You're as imperious as I can be little one. You'll need to learn decent manners though. If I had to deal with etiquette, then now so do you." he spoke conversationally to the chick and stroked the fuzzy little head with the tip of his finger.

Long, confident strides took him to the newly converted outdoor Mews of what was once a stable. The man knew he would have to find a better source than the butcher for his birds' feeding, considering it was dead flesh. These were raptors of the sky that needed to hunt, to kill. It wasn't just eating for them, but rather a deep carnal instinct to prey upon and kill lesser birds. The young Askara felt a strong and abiding bond with the beautiful hunters he admired so much.

He looked down the row of perched birds, silently apologizing for the already dead fare he was to offer them. At least it was freshly dead rabbits. Carefully he doled out the precise amount to each bird accordingly. It wouldn't do to overfeed them.

The only thing left to do in the immaculately clean bird mews was to add five more perches with their jesses, water and wingspan planned out. Whist looked to the sky for a brief chime and noted that it was time for his midday meal. He sat quietly on the brick molding edge and opened up the small pouch on his belt. Roast rabbit and fresh bread made a fine meal for man and bird so he had no complaints. He'd never had a customer come in at midday meal so there was no reason to think they'd change that behavior now.

Feeling the mild winter sun on his face and shoulders, he sat contentedly munching his meal and sharing a few morsels with Dynasty.
