"Come on, Yani! Please!" Nissa asked again, and Sayani sighed, unable to hide her frustration. Ever since she had returned from the fishing trip, and had made the mistake of telling her sister about it, the halfblood had been begging to learn how to fish. Sayani had little patience for teaching, but she also didn't think her sister was fit for the task. Nissa would probably give up after the first try, and she didn't even know how to use a bow, so how her sister wanted to catch a fish was something beyond Sayani's imagination. "Come on! Why don't you want to teach me?"

"Because you are no hunter, Nissa." the Symenestra answered, for the third time. She was getting tired of this conversation.

"Well, I can be a fisher, then." Nissa poked the bruka on the bowl in front of her. The sisters had gone to the Meadows to eat, something the youngest of them was very found of. They had barely sat on the table when Nissa had began her begging. It was taking a long time for her to finish her meal, too.

"Nissa, can you please stop?" Sayani finally let the irritation evident in her voice. Maybe that way her sister would finally understand that she wasn't going to do it.

"Fine." the girl pouted, crossing her arms and looking hurt. "Fine, then. Don't teach me how to fish. I won't teach you anything about plants, either."

Sayani had to control herself so she wouldn't just get up and leave. After a deep breath, the Symenestra said, controlling the tone of her voice. "Nissa, you are not a hunter, and you hate to kill. Why do you want to go fishing, of all things?"

"Because it sounded fun, when you told me about your fishing trip with your friends." Sayani decided not to correct her. She had gone with a group of other hunters, not friends. "I want to do something together with you..."

"Fine. I'll think of something to do. But not fishing. Now, eat your food."

When her sister seemed satisfied with it, Sayani looked around the Meadows, trying to see if she recognized some face. Not that she would say hello to anyone, but she had nothing better to do to pass time while Nissa was finally eating her food. She recognized some from the hospitals, and also saw a Symenestra woman she thought she recognized from the avalanche day, not very far from where she was sitting.

Another Fishing Trip (Synntina)

Synntina had not really planned to do much today. To be honest she kind of wanted to take a break from everything. Normally when she felt this way she went and practiced her dancing skills, but today she decided all she really wanted to do was eat, and then sit around the Sickle and Arrow, listening to stories and maybe even being social for once. The pale skinned woman had left for the Meadows early so she could eat breakfast without many people being around, and when she arrived it was just that way.

She sat down at a table and ordered Bruka, like she would normally when she came to the tavern like building. It was warm inside the building, and the lights were soft, but comfortable enough for both human and Symenestra alike. She started to eat when she noticed a woman followed by a little half-blooded girl walk into the tavern. She recognized her from awhile back.. they were one of the first ones to climb to the woven gates when the avalanche fell. At the time, the woman seemed much like herself, straight to the point. Not Synntina was seeing a different side of her, one on how she dealt with the dra. Who she assumed was related in some way.

When they sat down, they started to argue over the woman teaching the dra how to fish. This sparked her interest a bit, as fishing was something she wanted to learn how to do as well as the child. Synntina listened while she continued to eat, slower now though. The woman called the girl Nissa, and the dra had called the woman Yani before, although Synntina didn't think it was her full name.

The woman continued to listen to them until 'Yani' finally said something that quieted the little dra. Synntina was almost finished with her food by that time. The woman next to her began to look around and Synntina looked up from her food at the same point and she smiled nicely toward her, her golden eyes intense as ever. Her smile faded as she went to speak to her in her calm, but noticeably 'bright' tone,

"Fishing is a valuable to skill to know.. and like your relative.. it is something I would request if I was in the position too."

Her wording was a bit funny, she realized after she spoke. But none the less it got the point across. Her social skills had never been the greatest anyway.

"I could.. offer you something in return? If you are willing to teach..."

The other woman smiled to her. When she spoke, Sayani raised an eyebrow. Her words were weird, however she was polite, and the Symenestra would at least listen to her, although she wasn't really in the mood to teach a stranger anything.

The proposal was the only thing that made Sayani stop from refusing the other right away. She loved to learn, but to teach was something else entirely. She had little patience for slow learners, and most of the people she had come across were exactly that. There was no way Sayani could know if the woman who was standing in front of her was a slow learner or not, and so, the Symenestra would prefer to just deny it to her and go away.

But then... If she could get something in return, so easily, then it was worth trying. And if Sayani found out the other couldn't keep up with learning, she could just stop teaching. She looked at the other for a moment, before speaking.

"What can you offer me?" she asked. Sayani was fine with almost anything. In truth, fishing wasn't that hard, specially for hunters. She hoped the other was a hunter. Otherwise, there was no reason for wanting to learn how to fish. "My name is Sayani Wisteria." she informed, anyway, because she didn't want to make the other think she wasn't willing to teach.

"Fishing isn't a very complex subject... if you know how to hunt already." Sayani said, before the other could answer, to make it clear that she wasn't going to teach her everything from the scratch. Sayani had more important things to do than that. "Do you have any weapon?"

The Symenestra was interested in the trade, but at the same time the other would have to offer something great if she was just like Nissa. Not a hunter, but wanting to learn how to fish for some reason Sayani couldn't truly understand. Now, if the woman hunted... Then all the Symenestra needed to do was take her to the underground lake, teach her the tips she had learned on her first fishing trip, and that was it.

OOCSorry for the delay... I've been in a very chaotic week. Hopefully, I'll be able to reply faster from now on.

Synntina could see the opposition in the woman's face when she first started to speak, and she didn't really blame her. She was never up for being a teacher either, although is seemed, that since the woman was getting something out of it, she was a little more interested. The girl thought for a brief moment before replying,

"I travel to the surface often to hunt. So if you have any sort of small game you prefer? .. Birds or rabbits are something I should be able to get for you."

The golden eyed woman nodded after a moment, and gave a soft, quick smile to the woman when she introduced herself. Sayani Wisteria. She had little doubt that she would forget the woman. She had a striking apperance, even for a Symenestra. The other woman spoke of how fishing was not very complex if she already knew how to hunt and the silver haired woman nodded gently. Synntina spoke again, her voice as calm sounding as ever,

"It's a pleasure to meet you Sayani. My name is Synntina Novul. I am a hunter, as you might have guessed by now. And yes, I do in fact have a bow and arrows, but I am not sure how much my arrows will help in fishing."

Synntina waited for the other woman's response. She glanced over at the younger girl for a moment and offered her a small smile as well before it faded and she returned her attention to Sayani.

OOCNo problem hun. Hope everything is okay :]

Sayani thought a little about the offer. She could hunt for herself, specially small game. There really was no reason as to why she would need the other. Unless...

"Do you think you can bring me a bird alive?" the Symenestra asked. Her thrill for hunting normally made it difficult to spare her prey's life, but Sayani wanted to study a little more on the Symenestra venom, and for that she needed a test subject. It was a new idea, one she still hadn't tried out, but she supposed it could work. Of course, she could control herself enough to trap something alive, but if the other could do it once for her, it meant that she would need to do it less. Good enough, on her mind.

When the other woman introduced herself, Sayani nodded. Synntina, then. And she was also a hunter. Good, it would make everything much easier. And, just like herself, Synntina used a bow.

"You use special arrows for fishing!" Nissa answered instead, taking the small smile as a clue that she could talk. "Yani showed it to me. It's all pointy and..."

"Nissa." Sayani interrupted the girl before she began to describe the arrow. Her half sister pouted again, but stayed quiet. Sayani turned back to Synntina. "This is Nissa Wisteria. There are, like she said, special arrows for fishing. If you think you can shoot without damaging them, I can lend you mine. However, you will need a set anyway, if you plan fishing often. I fish with my bow, but in fact, you can easily buy a fishing pole or net, if you want." Sayani thought for a moment. "I need to go and take my things. You decide on what you want to fish with, and we meet here again. How about it?"

Synntina thought over the offer for a few moments. It was really an odd request. Bringing back a bird alive.. but with the snares she had bought not to long ago, she figured she could give it a try. If it helped out the both of them then why not. If she couldn't do it, she may be able to convince someone like Viridae to help her anyway. The golden eyed woman nodded to her request, but kept herself silent. She looked over at the young girl, Nissa, as she began to talk and a small smile appeared on her face before it faded again as Sayani cut her off, her gaze turning toward the other woman as her smile faded to her neutral gaze once more.

She introduced the young dra before going on to talk about the arrows. Synntina listened, her eyes narrowing just slightly as she described how the arrows looked. Her gaze was curious, but also intense, as the yellow of her eyes always made her look seem. She nodded again, saying nothing for a few moments after Sayani finished before she spoke, her voice clear but soft.

"Call it a deal then."

Synntina gave a nod to the woman, and a nod to her younger relative before moving past them and out the door. She paused for only a slight moment, realizing how unusual it was to be using a door in the city. She brushed her hair over to one shoulder before moving away from the building and toward her house to get her things.

Sayani watched the woman walk away, before turning to her younger sister. Nissa was already focused on finishing her bruka, and Sayani waited for her to do so before getting up to leave.

The sisters walked back to their homes, Nissa on Sayani's back, so they could cross the thin silken ropes more easily. It would be easier to move on to a house more accessible to the half blood, but Sorana wouldn't want to hear about it, and Sayani had to admit that living with her mother was more advantageous for now. So she didn't move. Besides, Nissa normally only wanted to leave home if she was with Sayani, so the Symenestra didn't feel like carrying her around was a chore.

Aloe came jumping towards them as soon as the sisters set foot on the house's ground, and Sayani saw that Ivy was watching them from the opening in the curtains that divided Sayani's room from the rest of the house, as if asking whatever or not they would leave again. The Symenestra walked to her bedroom, petting the small green eyed kitten in the head for a moment, before taking her bow and the fishing arrows. She also took a piece of rope, remembering that they would need to carry the fish back.

"Nissa, don't forget to feed the kittens." when her sister nodded, already playing with Aloe, Sayani climbed up to the entrance, before making her way back to the Meadows.

Synntina wasn't there yet, but if the woman was buying something she needed, Sayani knew the other would take a while. She sat down on the table closest to the entrance, and waited, watching the few people that were still there.

Synntina moved across the corded walkways with ease as she always did, making it back to her home. It was warm inside still since when she left it that morning and for a moment she paused to enjoy it. She wasen't sure how long Sayani would be, so she moved from her spot and started to gather her things. She wouldn't want to keep the woman waiting. After grabbing the small pack full of some supplies and her bow in which she strung across her back.

She left the house again and paused for a moment, looking toward the market. Sayani had said she would let her borrow the fishing arrows.. and she didn't want to buy her own in case she turned up to be not the greatest fisherman, so she skipped over the marked and started back to the Meadows.

When she arrived, Sayani was already waiting for her, she gave a small frown for only a few moments before her face returned to its neutral state. She walked up to Sayani, giving a small nod of her head. Synntina spoke, her voice sounding as hollow and calm as ever,

"I hope I did not keep you waiting for too long."

OOCThis is a pretty crappy post. Apologies. :c

Sayani only shook her head slightly, not feeling the need to talk with the other woman. She motioned for Synntina to follow her, and left the Meadows, before quickly crawling in the silken ropes towards the cave entrance where she had met the other hunters some days before. The Symenestra was moving as fast as she always did, and she knew that it would be no problem for other Symenestra to keep up with her, and so, she didn't look back once to see if Synntina was with her.

When they finally reached the entrance, Sayani looked at the rock walls for a chime, remembering the path on her head. She had only been there once, but her memory was good, and she had paid close attention to the way. It would take her a while to remember, but she would be able to go in and out safely.

Only after she had mentally walked the way to the lake where they would be fishing did she turn, looking for the first time over her shoulder to see if the other woman was keeping up. It wasn't a difficult task, but Sayani wanted to be sure.

Once she had seen the woman was together with her, she resumed her walking, entering the cave and following through the twisted paths. She was quiet, and maybe the woman would think of her as rude. It wasn't true, she just didn't feel the need to talk, but if the woman wanted to think this, then she could. It didn't bother Sayani.

They reached the upward curve, and Sayani turned back once again. This time, however, she did speak.

"We climb this up, and we are at the lake. Can you climb on your own?" her question wasn't made in doubt of the woman's capacities, but because if she had any kind of injury, Sayani could help her so they would reach the lake faster.

When the woman shook her head she returned it in a simple nod. Her golden eyes followed Sayani's movements as she left. The woman was quick to go, and Synntina imagined that she didn't actually want to do this today. But she was grateful for it anyway. She follow the woman easily, her movements smooth and graceful, even though they were only moving through the city. It came from her years of dancing and learning to move quietly through the tops of trees and the noisiest of fallen leaves. The pale skinned spider watched as the scene changed from the city to the rocky path in which she watched Sayani pause for a moment, as if she was remembering the way to go. Synntina hung back for a moment, hoping she wouldn't get them lost.

When Sayani turned back to look at her, she returned with a yellow eyed stare, no clear emotion on her face. She didn't speak, and neither did Sayani which showed that neither woman was very social, or at least did not feel the need to be. After all it was only the two of them, not like communication had to be carried through a group.

The cold stone under her feet was chilling compared to the corded streets, but it wasn't enough to make the woman feel uncomfortable. She followed Sayani with ease, noticing how quiet it was with just the noise of them moving and the occasional rock falling from the ceiling. She ran a hand through her silver hair as they moved and finally they stopped again at what looked like an curve that headed almost straight up. Synntina moved her hands behind her back and gave Sayani the attention once she spoke. She spoke about climbing the wall, and asking if she could on her own. Syntinna gave a soft nod in answer, keeping the silence on her side this time. Her yellow eyes wandered to the curve again and she listened through the silence to hear the gentle lap of water on the rocky side.
