The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Head over Heels (Raien)

67th of Winter, 513 A.V.
Sometime during the day

Morwen, and definitely Makutsi, was doing a perfect job outside the apartment complex which we have now come to find this thread in. It was a miserable day, Syna having been cloaked by the brewing clouds outside, with the sky spilling its contents all over the inhabitants and streets of Lhavit, painting everyone a wretched monochrome. Of course, the monochrome wasn't quite monochrome, merely a muted world of shadowed colours and shades, but that didn't quite stop it from looking black and white to most of the citizens. Ruphy was no exception.

The fire blazing in the hearth was fighting a losing battle. Despite its ceaseless efforts in attempting to imbue the simple room with warmth and life, the heat from the flame was no match for the endless cold. Ruphy understood this, her figure having long since abandoned the warm embrace of her bedsheets for her winter clothing, and so she was preparing herself for the chill that was guaranteed to be more biting than that of her room outside. Clad in her usual cotton clothing, and smothered in her coat and scarf, Ruphy tugged on her boots before making for the door. Her steps were fluid, almost gliding, but she never truly noticed how different her steps were compared to those around her. It was graceful, almost elegant, but it never was quite able to cover up Ruphy's clumsiness.

True to her nature, Ruphy glided past her table and chair, past her backpack which happened to be haphazardly perched on her couch, and up to her door. It was a simple, beautiful, and very practical door; no crazy adornments that were purely aesthetic and pointless were to be glimpsed nor seen. But the hard part wasn't reaching the door. It was getting through it. Of course Ruphy had her notebook with her, its companion charcoal carelessly tucked behind her right ear, as she left the room.

Stumbling through her door, and performing a spectacular spin to avoid any embarrassing falls, Ruphy made it across the hallway, or whatever the small passage was called. It was as much of a success as the Ethaefal could achieve when exiting her room, and, as a result of her success, she was imbued with a sense of accomplishment only children, and those of innocence or outright obliviousness, could obtain.

Now, filled with the intoxicating sense of self pride, Ruphy was as much of a klutz as ever and possibly even more so, her previous near-fall completely forgotten and overridden by the empowering feeling. When she was in her impenetrable cheer, she was outright dangerous. Not because she was actively seeking out to harm others or herself, it was because she was even more likely to perform some magnificent feat of self embarrassment, namely tripping over her own feet. The frequency of such feats was almost bizarre, as if Lhex had every action and step orchestrated, but it has always had enough decency to not occur when Ruphy was in dire need of its non-presence. Of course, this was not one of those moments Ruphy was in need of its absence, and so it popped its head in to her life.

Caught by surprise, her facial expression absolutely clueless, Ruphy was sent flying down the stairs. Her left foot had bumped the stairs by accident, thus sending her abysmal sense of balance off and veering in such a way that even Aquiras couldn’t save it, and the result was her full bodied descent down the stairs.

Not quite realising how dangerous of a projectile she made, Ruphy plummeted down the flight of stairs; the frigid air streaking across her skin as it sent her scarf and hair billowing and flowing behind her, the latter a rippling kaleidoscope of gentle colour gradients spanning from beige to wheat-gold. Coupled with her similarly coloured horns, albeit green and with an effect reminiscent to Syna's light breaking across a deep veridian canopy, Ruphy's signature Ethaefalan-features contrasted against its hastily passing background, a streak of colour in an otherwise weather-dulled backdrop.

Instinctively rolling into a ball, her charcoal stick having been lost during her graceless flight and her notebook creased and crushed against her chest, Ruphy unconsciously prepared for landing.

Hopefully the wall would stop her in her gravity-fueled descent and that no unfortunate being would come across her.

The horns of an Ethaefal can be deadly.

OOCI have just realised that this thread won't really go anywhere if I don't change it a little bit or grant partial god-mod to Raien >x<

Rai, you have my full permission to detail out what happens to Ruphy next...without getting her killed, of course.
