Eat Crow [Buras]

Postby Buras on March 15th, 2014, 12:42 am

"Rend! I knew I knew who you were. You remember me? I believe you kept calling me a little stealer." Buras said with a bit of excitement showing, Maybe she won't gut me now.

To further drive him his point, and maybe jog her memory, Buras morphed into his crow form and jumped on a nearby tombstone. Cawing with excitement at the two of them, He morphs back and ends up standing on the tombstone.

"But that man does make a good point. What are you doing in a cemetery, and in the middle of the day? Oh, and did you take my advice on not eating the things you like a lot?" Buras rambled on, relief and excitement washing over him in waves. Perhaps I can get a two for one favor deal.

A favor can be worth it's weight in gold. Or, it could kill you.

Eat Crow [Buras]

Postby Gad on March 15th, 2014, 4:12 am

Gad couldn't help but to feel the sides of his cheek quirk up at the comment."No, heh, no, I know you're a Zith. Fox is just another word for attractive- sexy. Rend, huh? So that's your name." It was around this time the man admitted to having already known this woman. Gad wondered for a chime if they had been working together, but he considered that neither one seemed to be playing with a full deck, and it was probably just one of those Sunberth coincidences. All of a sudden, Buras turned into a raven. So, Gad had been wrong just a few minutes ago. Now things were getting strange.

The raven man flew over and landed on a tombstone before shifting back to his human form. Gad put two and two together and reasoned he was naked because his clothes couldn't transform with him. That made sense if anything here did. Then Buras corroborated the validity of Gad questioning what the Zith was doing here, which didn't exactly make Gad feel super about the state of his own sanity. His eyes shifted over to the crow-man for a moment, and he realized the guy's junk was now just about at eye level, so he went back to appraising Rend. Then there was the part about her being advised not to eat the things she liked. Alarm bells went off in his head, and Gad started to wonder if trying to sweet talk her was the safest way to get out of an untimely disemboweling. Still, he thought he read some appreciation on her face when he'd called her beautiful, so he continued to flatter Rend, but made sure not to lay it on too thick. "Oh wow Rend, those are a lovely set of wings you have there, if you don't mind me saying so."

Eat Crow [Buras]

Postby Rend on March 15th, 2014, 12:18 pm

Despite the glaring sun Rend's eyes widened in excitement when she saw her little Eater, This only lasted the briefest moment before they narrowed again with the memory of a fat man's thumb bone. "I remember, Stealer, I remember" She took a few paces forward with an easy, predatory grace and looked over the pair a bit clearer. "Rend eats what Rend wants to eat, silly Stealer, Surely Eater tells you that?

Her attention shifts over to Shouty as he speaks, "No, heh, no, I know you're a Zith. Fox is just another word for attractive- sexy. Rend, huh? So that's your name." Her lip rises slightly into a sort of disgusted snarl "Why? Foxes are nasty little things, stringy and plain and dirty. And yes, I am The Little Rend"

"Oh wow Rend, those are a lovely set of wings you have there, if you don't mind me saying so."
Shouty continued, Rends snarl descended into a nearly satisfied smile as her wings reflexively stretched out to there full size. Shouty is not very smart, maybe got hit in head like Thup? She gave him a long appraising looking over before answering "Would Shouty like to touch the wings?

Eat Crow [Buras]

Postby Buras on March 15th, 2014, 6:57 pm

Almost laughing at the irony of Rend telling him the eater should have told him. She doesn't understand that I am eater. Bras says, "Yes, eater told me that."

Jumping off the tombstone, Buras says, "Well, I'll be right back. I said I would find someone for this man." gesturing to him, "Before you showed up. I'll be right back."

Morphing into his crow form, Buras circles up into the sky. Buras briefly enjoyed the rush of flying for a while before he started to look for the man with a shovel. He started in the area around the man and Rend, gradually looking further and further out. There. Buras thought as he saw the groundskeeper, digging a hole with a covered object next to him, no doubt a body.

Flying back to the group, Buras lands and morphs. I believe your man is that way." Buras says pointing, "And I would like some payment, nothing is free here. A gold miza would do it. Or, since you probably spent that already on, by the smell of it, alcohol, you can do something for me." Buras had a slight idea of what that favor would be already, but wasn't going to tell him that. Either way, I get something from it.

Eat Crow [Buras]

Postby Gad on March 16th, 2014, 12:31 am

Rend went on to express on obvious disgust with members of the vulpine family, so Gad made a note not to compare her to any animals again. Given the positively bat like nature of her wings, though, some obvious comparisons were hard not to draw. He certainly didn't expect the offer to touch them come up, but he was wary of moving too quick and too fast. Compared to the Zith he'd met before- also a female- Rend seemed a bit more instinct driven. Even still, he remembered what that seemingly friendly Zith had done to a couple of thugs on the street, and it wasn't pretty. So, if that was a Zith with self control... well, Gad had resolved to be cautious. Then again, from what he'd heard of Zith they were an awful murderous and libidinous bunch. He was dead and/or petched yet, so maybe this one was different. "Really? Rend would let Shouty Gad guessed that was her designation for him touch her beautiful wings?" Gad considered that she might just be baiting him in so she could pounce on him, but then thought that maybe she wouldn't have made her presence known if she was going to do something like that. So, he stepped forward smoothly towards her.

The raven man said something about going to get the undertaker, and Gad flinched inwardly. Great, now is the time you go? Good riddance you useless crow. Gad thought. A tick latter Heh, I rhymed. He was next to Rend now and could get a better look at her. She was small, Gad could tell she was petite before, but from further away those wings made her look massive. Now that he was close he could she she was about a foot and a half shorter than he. Black eyes matched an inky black fur covering, and forearm and leg patches that were the same crimson as the hair pulled back on her head. She was all but nude, except for a few straps of leather made like a harness. She wasn't bad looking if you could get past the fangs, the claws, the bat wings, and the body hair. Gad tried to position himself behind her when he went to touch her wings.

Just about this time Buras popped back up, pointing in the direction of Jebediah, and demanding a golden miza as form of payment. Why, you little extortionist. Gad thought. You've got the right idea, Little Eater, but the wrong guy. There are whores who charge less for more time! Heh, but you gotta admire the scamming spirit of his. An idea began to form in Gad's mind. This raven-person either wanted coin, or a favor. Gad didn't like owing people, at least not for something genuine, but at the same time he knew that being indebted to people could sometimes turn out more in your favor than theirs. With a friendly grin he nodded and said. "You know what? You're so right, I blew most of it the fish last night. Since you did me a solid though, just let me know when and how I can pay you back, alright?"

Eat Crow [Buras]

Postby Rend on March 16th, 2014, 1:00 am

Rend softly rolls her shoulders at the gentle praise of her wings, an almost imperious smile on her face. She watched him, halfway between casual and analyzing, over her shoulder as he moved behind her. Leaving him to do as he saw fit but her body retained a subtle tenseness that hinted at being able and willing to react to anything she opposed. Little Eater returned and was soon the Stealer once more, a swift negotiation took place and Rend sudden span in place, standing so close to Gad she was looking up into his eyes with what could only be called indignation. Her wings curled forward to encircle him, not touching him but creating a wall of tough, leathery, flesh around him.
"And what about lil' Rend? What does Shouty have for me?"

Eat Crow [Buras]

Postby Buras on March 16th, 2014, 1:29 am

Buras could have laughed at how easy it was to get a favor, but he didn't. "Alright then sir. To pay back your favor, teach. Anything will do, but teach." Before the man could reply, Rend enveloped him in her wings. Thinking the worst would happen, Buras shouts "Hey, he still owes me a favor." Continuing to grumble about how the man owes him a favor, Buras sits on a head stone.

Well, ther isn't anything I can do now but hope she doesn't eat him. Buras thinks to himself. Trying to pass the time, Buras begins to whistle, trying to mimic how a kill-deer sounds. Switching between that, and other song birds, Buras thinks of the irony of it all. Crows can mimic words and other noises, but not song birds.

OOCIf you don't know what a kill-deer sounds like, it sounds like they are saying kill deer, look it up for yourself if you want.

Eat Crow [Buras]

Even through the short covering of body hair, he could see the defined muscles on her back that powered the leathery wings and anchored them to her. Gad ran his finger tips gently across the surface of the membrane. This was odd, this whole thing. Was this Zith girl really taking a shine to him like this? He still didn't trust it fully, but the way she just let him feel up her wings like that was pretty disarming. Guess it's just my undeniable animal magnetism. Gad reasoned in his head. The raven man pipped up, and outlined the terms of the deal.

"Huh. Actually, that sounds fair. Okay, I'll teach you a little bit of what I know about dealing with people. Lesson One: Clothes Make The Man. So, uh, if you haven't got any on-"

Obviously something in their exchange set her off, because Rend twisted around and nearly knocked Gad over. Quickly though, the was near to him, looking straight up, and they were concealed in a canopy of the wings he'd just been admiring. Well, that had escalated quickly. He could see that there was a defiant look in her eyes, and as she asked her questions, they seemed more like demands. When she spoke, asking what he had for her, he couldn't help noticing the shiny fangs sliding under her lips. In the background, Gad could here the Raven man offer up the begrudging defense that Gad still owed him a favor. Quickly the bird man started whistling an alarmed sounding bird cry. Gad felt he'd heard it somewhere before. The beach perhaps? However, it wasn't the most pressing thing on his mind right now.

How to handle this? That was a tough question to answer. This Rend was a volatile creature, and he didn't want to say something that upset her. He exhaled slowly and moved closer to her. He recalled the derision with which she spoke his title - Shouty- and worked to make his voice a low, smooth whisper. "I guess that would depend on what lil' Rend might want? Hm?" He looked from her eyes to her mouth, then back again, and let small smirk slide onto his face as he smoothly licked his lips. "That's a question only you can answer, beautiful Rend, what does Shouty have for you?" Gad was still trying to get out of this unscathed, but that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy himself. He was feeling rather lucky, actually, considering how his day had started.

Eat Crow [Buras]

Postby Rend on March 16th, 2014, 2:58 am

Rend listened to the bleating defense of Stealer, Favor Taker, Maker of the Irritating Squeaks, and instinctively bared her teeth in a snarl, her eyes flicking sideways to glare in the direction that she would see Stealer if she bothered to turn her head. Instead she looked back at Shouty, at Flatterer, at... she sniffed the air reflexively, at Tasty? His smooth, whispered words flowed over her and her eyes watched his tongue slide over his lips. Something flared in her like the bite of the hunt and she inhaled sharply, her wings thrown out wide in a pair of beats as she span away from him, taking a pair of strides.

Slowly she turned to look back at him, her face wore a shifting expression as her mind was assailed by waring desires, one to leap upon him and feast, one to leap upon him and kill him for irritating her, one to leap upon him and... Her Jaw clenched and she scowled at the floor a few meters to his left while she got her mind under heel. Steadily her eyes rose up to meet his again.

Buras stopped with his bird calls/songs when Rend jumped away from the man, saying "What does Whisperer know? What can he teach? Something good, teach Rend like you'll teach Stealer."

"Go ahead, teach away." Buras says. He didn't mind Rend jumping in on the lessons, he liked her a little bit. "So, what shall the first lesson be?"

Getting up from his spot on the tombstone, Buras walks next to Rend. But he doesn't get to close. He may like her, but she seemed a bit erratic. Folding his arms behind his back, Buras waits for the man. But before he is able to speak, Buras asks, "And while you do that, can you tell me your name? I don't want to call you 'sir' or 'teacher' the whole time."
