Calendar: Spring, 514 AV
___________________

The snow has melted away and given way for Spring, meaning the turning of the years and a new time for changes all around Mizahar--Sunberth is no exception. After a rough year of pestilence, fires, riots, floods and suffering, the new starts with the biggest change of all; calm. Rest. It seems Sunberth starts off 514 AV with a period of rest and recuperation for the city and her inhabitants, gently nursing the citizens after disaster upon disaster.

The season is going to be bare on the storyline-front, leaving space for personal plots and regrouping throughout the city as it gets back on its feet again. Opportunities will be had for the population to partake in the upcoming rebuilding effort, taking care of all that was torn down during the flood of the previous year that was buried underneath the snow until recently. All in all, the city's population will be in high spirits and action in the street will be at an all-time low.

This calendar is SUBJECT TO CHANGE as the season goes on.

NOTE: Remember, for those of you who want a go at the Sunberth medal for completed seasonal challenge and threaded in the city last season, take a look at the Winter calendar here and send me a PM with links to prove that you completed them all. If you did, you qualify for the medal!

Dates of note for Spring:
.
20th: A large mass of people gather around the Slag Heap Fire to socialize end embrace eachother in the heat of the (stinking) fire. Towards the night of the same day, the pleasantries evolve into outright reveling with music, drinks and food hitting the scene. Most of the city is barren save for families with children, a large portion joining the festivities.

21st-25th: Stores and businesses are closed as owners recuperate and restore their stock after the party at the Slag Heap Fire. Only taverns are open and serve any food and drink.

33rd: A Svefra crew lands in the Sunberth harbor. Tensions are on the rise between them and habitual dock workers as well as local sailors, but they seem to have all the best intentions. The Svefra crew spend the night at the Simpering Seacow, entertaining the locals with fantastical stories of the great beasts of the sea, Laviku and his spawn.

38th: An outing from one of the orphanages in the city has the Castle Commons swarming with children. Merchandise gets lost in the chaos and many seem to find their pouches lighter than before, but Jillene and the other matrons fiercely deny any accusations of theft aimed at the orphans.

47th: Jillene appears again in the Castle Commons, throwing accusations around her. A child has turned up dead at the orphanage with signs of foul play. Jillene's words upset a significant number of citizens, a good number of merchants being forced to close their business for the day while Jillene's rally continues, which it does all through the evening.

49th: A man in his early twenties is trampled to death in the streets by Jillene and her recent following.

52nd: Another party is hosted by the Slag Heap Fire. Rumours say a few individuals accidentally got burned to death that night, but they are impossible to confirm.

53rd: The party continues into the streets of Sunberth, drunken revelers loitering outside every bar and Tall Johnny's Casino keeping their doors open for longer than they usually do for the sake of business.

53rd-56th: Stores and business once again close while people recuperate from the intense partying. There's word of several serious robberies spread throughout the city before the stores open again.

60th: Lucerne's Lodestar darkens suddenly in the night and the light goes out for a few minutes before shimmering back to life in the first moments of twilight at dawn of the 61st.

71st: Rebuilding starts. After almost a full season of partying and relief, people manage to pull themselves together for long enough to organize and start rebuilding what had been lost during the flood and rough winter that followed. (City Event, further information to come!)

91st: Rebuilding stops..
.

Thread goals for the season:

    - Join at least one of the parties at the Slag Heap Fire.
    - Get burned by a non-magical fire.
    - Learn something about Laviku from the Svefra visitors / from someone who learned from them.
    - Get yourself or a friend completely and utterly wasted.
    - Wake up in an embarassing location after a wild night out.
    - "Misplace" an item or some money during the orphan-swarm at the Castle Commons.
    - Break someone's nose. Or your own.
    - Subject your character to one of his/her fears.
