[Windmount Stable] A Knights Course

17th Day of Spring 514 A.V

Today was just another day of many for Jerle as he walked with his entourage. Jerle Shannara and his two Squires followed behind him as they entered the Windmount Stables. It was time for training again with his new Squires. He was quite amused and pleased to see that they did assign Asonis Shannara, his younger brother, and a young Akalak by the name of Rhaan.

Ason was in better part always eager to learn and always willing to help. That was the right attitude that the Knights wanted from you. But it wasn't exactly all that good. It was easier to mold someone to your craft when it is the only thing they know.

Training is arduous and endearing, everyday they must learn, study, and hone their craft like True Knights do. Which is why Jerle had a fantastic idea that day. A way to master their skills using them all relatively at the same time. He knew in battle that they would need to know to use all their skills effectively.

Clad in nice plate armor as given by the Order, his squires however were only given chainmail for this exercise. "Ser," Rhaan said as Jerle said something to Uliver who was down the pathway to the jousting area. "What did you have planned?"

"Quite I am speaking." Jerle snapped and the boy was quite once more. Only at the age of 15 two years younger than his brother Asonis. "As I was saying. Is the field all set up Ser Uliver?"

"Yes just like how you asked. Rather unique may I say so myself, I haven't seen a method like this before. Good luck."

Jerle saluted him and he walked away. They came upon the jousting area which was large enough for what he had in mind. When they stepped out, they could see that area had been tweaked. Obstacles lay out in front of the riding path.

Hurdles, and target sign for archery and a bucket at the end. A similar setup could be seen on the other lane of the jousting area. Next them they could see to horses buckled to a wooden pole ready for use. "Well lads this is what I like to call a Knights Course."
