The weight and clink of his coin only put Elias even more on edge as checked his purse for the hundredth time. He wasn't used to carrying around this much coin, especially not through the streets of Ravok. He walked by a elegantly dressed couple too engaged with smooching and giggling at each other's to pay him any mind, yet still he made sure there was a good deal of space between himself and them regardless. He checked his coin again as soon as they passed. It wasn't as if Ravok was a festering crime pit like Sunberth or the wilds, but still, people got funny around money, particularly around the amount he was carrying. Hell, the fact that he was this nervous was just proof of his point. The mage was usually a lot cooler than he seemed now, and Elias wasn't putting himself through this gut wrenching anxiety for joy of a new experience either. After arriving on the docks with little else than the clothes on his back and what money he had managed to save from Zeltiva, the Caldera had realized he would be in a desperate need of supplies if his stay was going to be longer than a few days. In the end, this was just a shopping run, yet he couldn't get it out of his mind something terrible was going to happen.

In all honesty he should have very well known he was going to remain for more than just a brief stay, but a stubbornness had overtaken his usually clear thoughts. Even it wasn't something as important arranging his mother's funeral, he would have still made up some excuse to keep himself here for as long as he could. That was partly because he had no love for another wilderness trek back the way he had come, but more so because it had only taken a few chimes back before he realized how much he had missed this place. He had been away for too long, just far too long.

Though caught up in his own reminiscing -yet again- Elias wasn't blind to the fact that the crowds were getting larger and larger as he delved deeper into the heart of the city. He was beginning to notice a greater number of people among those he passed who were dressed in more finery, and carried an air of more extravagance than one would have normally found on say, the docks. It was when he began to take note of the slaves being marshaled about that he realized where he was. He looked up to see Syna high in the evening sky, and it came to him. He was nearing The Pit, and it was almost fight time.

Elias couldn't remember the last time he saw a good brawl. They didn't really have a Pit in Zeltiva, not that he had managed to discover anyway, and it wasn't so unusual to find a young, excitable Elias sneaking away from training to go watch Alto the Butcher tearing into some poor bastard, or Marick the Undefeated slice through half a dozen men with his twin blades. If you were particularly lucky, you might have even caught a glimpse or two of Malfus himself in the ring, though the crowds were often so large and boisterous it was impossible unless you were as tall as the giant you were coming to see fight.

Elias did a poor job of hiding his smile as he passed by the arena, and an even poorer job of keeping himself from wandering inside. Maybe another time, he told himself as he tried in futility to focus on something else. There was a large list in his pocket that he needed to start working on if he expected to survive another day in this city without dying of boredom... or starvation.

As he continued on his way, the sound of something all too familiar caught his ears. It was faint, and Elias strained his ears to hear it over the chattering of the enthusiastic spectators flocking about him. It was only when he was mostly clear of the crowds did the noise become discernible enough for the young man to follow it. If he was right however, it was probably the last place he wanted to go, but considering it was on his way to where he needed to be...

As he rounded the corner an alleyway opened up to his right. He peered inside, transfixed in morbid curiosity as he watched one brutish, stocky man proceed to beat the ever loving shyke out of two others. Behind the bloody knuckles and broken teeth, Elias could have sworn he could see a women standing there as well, smiling as it all went down. Truthfully, his first reaction would have been to just move on, or maybe even put down a bet in the spirit of things. This wasn't his fight, and by the looks of the bruises they were taking, it certainly wasn't the other two's fight either. For whatever reason however, a word slipped through Elias's lips unabated. Perhaps it was divine humor that elicited his weak shout, or maybe it was just that funny side of him that came about when he already too worked up about his money. Or perhaps it was that flashing moment that passed through his thoughts when he pondered how impressive it would be to actually stop a mugging and save those two men. He must have thought of the coolest, most intimidating and heroic thing he could say at that time to put everyone in their place and scare the thugs off, but instead of not saying it and walking away, the words just kind of slithered off his tongue instead.

"H-hey!"

“Can you believe this gregory? That a bunch of young men would accost a lady like me and grab all of her hard earned money?” Cecillia said with a sigh as he had cornered the two young men in the dead end alley. Taking a few steps forward till she was standing almost next to the short gregory.

“Piss poor manners.” Gregory said in an agreeing tone. “Why don't we just do this the easy way? You two hand over the money and I won't break your legs.” Gregory stated with a grin on his face. The two thieves weren't really impressed though as they gave each other a glance before scoffing. “Really? As if a midget li..” Greg didn't bother letting the thief finish his sentence. He quickly closed the short distance that was between them and smashed his fist right in the taller man's stomach. Making him double over, the head now in reach he head butted him right in the nose and with another punch floored the thief. Before turning his attention towards the other thief. With an angry yell he launched himself towards Gregory, throwing a sloppy punch at his head. He ducked underneath it and punched him in the stomach again. Stopping him in his tracks and kicked his legs from out under him. The thief fell to the ground with a dull thud. Down, but only the weakest would stay down from just those punches. To make sure he stayed down He stomped down on the downed thief's balls with all his weight. The thief screaming in agony as he curled up in a ball to protect his bruised manhood from further abuse. He ignored the screaming and walked over towards the other thief who was almost back on his feet, He grabbed the man by his collar and pulled him back on his feet. Pulling on his collar so the thief was bended over far enough that he had to look him right in the eye.

“Right.. If you don't want to end up like your buddy there you better give me back the loot before I lose my patience.” gregory waited a few moments for an answer. But the thief kept his mouth firmly shut. He sighed.

“I guess they don't really have the brains to understand a vocal lesson gregory.” His mistress spoke up with a sweet smile. “Why don't you give them a lesson even they can understand?”

“Sure.” Gregory just answered. With all the frustration that had been building up lately since he hadn't had a pit fight in a few day's he could use a quick beating to get most of it out of his system. Even if the two of them where total wimps. The thief barely had the time to try to defend himself as Gregory smashed his fist right in the thief’s face. He released the thief, who staggered backwards, and smashed him in the face again. Dropping the thief like a sack of shyke. The thief whimpered on the floor and Greg bent down. Wiping his bloody knuckles on the thief’s clothes.

“Disappointing.” Greg said as he began to ruffle through the man's clothes and pockets. Looking for the purse they stole of Cecillia.

Both him and Cecillia looked away from the beaten men when they heard somebody call them out.

Greg stood up and walked over. Standing between cecillia and the newcomer. Pretty annoyed that he had to look up to stare the guy in the eye. But he guessed he could take the guy at least; He didn't seem to be armed. Which was good, he didn't have his sword with him, only the dagger in his belt.

“I'm afraid I didn't quite catch that young man.” Cecillia said in a polite tone as she looked at the newcomer with a bit of distaste. “You didn't quite speak up and we both where busy. I doubt it was anything important though. So why don't you just run along and let my bodyguard and me go about our business hmm?”

Rat Race

Postby Elias Caldera on May 2nd, 2014, 11:10 pm

In an instant, all eyes turned on Elias, even the ones swollen shut. He groaned in his mind. What was he doing? He put his hands together nervously, fully expecting to be thrown into the same ditch as the two men he had thought he could rescue a few ticks ago. For a man so small, the rough looking brigand wasn't lacking in the intimidation department, but then, anyone with blood on their hands and boots had a way of looking rather dangerous. The thought of sending res into his hand was barely even registering at that point as the other man moved himself between Elias and the woman in red. Magic wasn't just something you pulled out and waved around to everyone all willy nilly. People could literally get cut down or strung up for having a particularly bad sneeze. If it just so happened something on the other side of the room fell over after that sneeze, then it was all 'oh a mage, watch out before he fries your mind and eats your babies!' and that wasn't what Elias was looking for, not today.

He looked down at the gnarled man, noting his scars and toned build. He was a fighter, probably far better than Elias was, clearly. The sight of the dagger at his side always didn't help matters, and it was obvious the taller man had seen it by the way he was now hesitating. Then the woman, who even in a filthy alleyway, held about her an aura of command and power, spoke to him. It seemed strangely genuine at first, her serene tone, even despite the undertone of impatience. "So why don't you just run along and let my bodyguard and me go about our business hmm?"

"Oh, of course." He said awkwardly as he pulled his hands apart. They had become fists before he had realized it. "I was just... uh, appreciating..." He looked about apprehensively. "Your man here!" He suddenly exclaimed, much to his own sudden rush of ridiculousness. He smiled and clapped his hands together regardless. "Hey!" he said as he did so, trying to reproduce the tone he had used when he first got himself into this mess. "Good... Good job sir, excellent form? You know, with moves like that you could even be a fighter in the pit if you wanted to. Keep up the good work." And with that, he took a step back and away from any potential beating. "But I can see you're busy, so I'll just leave you two to it." He was just about to turn around and smoothly make his escape when he noticed one of the men on the ground shoot up and push his way passed the noblewoman. She let out a startled yelp, but before her muscled guard could turn around, the thief was already barreling into the man from behind, shoving him harshly into Elias. Hopelessly caught off guard, Elias went down, along with the shorter man and the thief as well, though the thin, spindly man rolled over the two of them and sprang to his feet with surprising deftness. More than Elias could have managed anyway, he was still trying to brush off the trashcan he had fallen into by the time he had turned around. He was holding his bloody jaw as he looked back at Elias and the woman, and while he smiled through a broken tooth, in his other hand he held a bag, well two actually. He shook the both between his fingers and the tell tale sound of mizas jingling together radiated outward.

At first, Elias only furrowed his brow, confused at the gesture. Then his hand flew towards his own coins in panic. Panic that quickly exploded into horror as his grasp came away empty. That was his! That was his damn money! He moved the push the brawler that had pinned him down, but the man was already up and on his feet, giving chase with at the furious behest of the woman in the alley. The thief took off, pushing his way past a small gathering of people before finally breaking into a full blown sprint away from the scene of the crime. Damn, he's fast! Quick! Elias thought Think of something to say to stop him!

"Hey!"

Petching brilliant...

The now very poor mage scrambled to his feet and took after them. He had to get that money back, and If he had to guess by the direction the pickpocket was running, it looked like he would be heading towards the docks to do it.

“I was one.” Gregory bluntly said, the flattery only working on his nerves. Though judging from the light giggle his mistress found the entire situation slightly amusing in it's absurdity. “Now if you don't have anything else to say petch off.” He turned around when he heard his mistress let out a startled yelp. But before he had even could something barreled against his back. Throwing against the man and throwing them both to the hard ground. He used the man to cushion his own fall against the ground.

“Get him! I'll go back to the house.” Cecillia ordered before he could even ask. He got back on his feet. Not caring that he shove the man back on the ground and almost stepped on him as he got up and chased after the petching thief that pulled one over him. Oh when he got his hands back on him he wouldn't make the mistake of not breaking his legs or ankle again! First thing he would do would make sure he wouldn't be able to get away. He growled in anger. “Stand still or I'll break your petching legs!” The threat had the opposite effect though. The thief just starting to run harder.

The man was fast. With Gregory barely able to keep within the pace. The only reason he could keep pace with him probably was because he already beaten the man black and blue. He just grit his teeth and tried to speed up. The thief wasn't stupid. He stayed away from the open roads and kept to the alleyways and lesser used roads. Trying to throw him off his trail by turning and twisting. At time throwing over barrels or whatever obstacles the thief managed to get his hands on.

“Petching thief.” Gregory growled as he jumped over a barrel. Nearly falling on his arse at the attempt but just barely kept on his feet. He saw the thief slip around a corner and he began running again. He couldn't let the thief get away. Not with all the money, he didn't even want to think what his mistress would do to him if he came back home empty handed.

Rat Race

Postby Elias Caldera on May 3rd, 2014, 10:49 pm

Heart pounding and dread bubbling, Elias faltered at first after his rough start. He found his footing only just in time to leap over the lumbering barrels rolling down the street, thankfully doing so with far easier grace than the pit fighter before him. He was following the burlier man however, having been left too far behind to ever get more than a glimpse at the thief in black. It quickly became apparent that the bastard was weaving his way wildly through back alleys and side paths in a desperate attempt to shake of his pursuit. Being third in this race meant Elias was never going to catch him as he was now. He had to make a gamble and he had to do it soon before he lost anymore ground. As the thief and the bodyguard rounded their third dark backstreet, Elias pressed straight on, running as hard as he could down the canal road and every once in a while risking a glance to his left to see the twisting flashes of the man he was chasing.

He burst out from the road and skidded his way across slick stone, barely catching himself before flying into the river. He booked it left, already beginning to feel the strain of his actions in the back of his legs. As he turned to continue, he realized with dismay he had completely lost sight of his quarry. A pair of hand drawn carts were blocking the street in front of him, their owners arguing about something right in the middle. Unwilling to accept he had just lost his mizas, Elias, instead of slowing down to politely squeeze in between, coarsely shouted at the two merchants to "get the petch out of the way" before promptly jumping his way through the small gap provided. The two men yelped and ducked out of the madman's path, and for a brief tick, Elias actually believed he was going to make it. When his outstretched foot got caught up in the shafts however, he soon understood how wrong he had been. His side hit the ground rather abruptly, and he hissed in more annoyance than pain as a stinging ache crept up his shoulder.

He cursed and spat angrily after noticing that drenched feeling on his arm was coming from the puddle he had fallen into. He cursed again, but before the words could even escape his lips, the thief ran by right in front of him, his two bags of coin bouncing along at his hip. Both men seemed equally alarmed at each other's presence, but it did nothing to stop his pickpocket's galloping escape. By the time Elias had lifted himself back unto his feet, the pit fighter had already flown by in hot pursuit. Elias could have almost smiled at his luck. Almost. He swiftly fell in line behind the unnamed bodyguard, fiercely trying to catch up and over take as all three men dove into another alleyway. This one however had opened up into into the courtyard plaza of the people's market.

The loud and boisterous bustle of the market was quite the bright contrast to the gloomy and grime ridden alleyways they had begun in. Vendors and merchants were hawking their goods across the large, churning crowds, and the air was simply more inviting and lively.

Then came the chickens...

The thief hadn't wasted any time before he was lunging over stalls and across crates, bypassing entire barricades of people and obstacles with his incredible agility. It wasn't until then did the young mage recognize how very outmatched he was against this man. He didn't let it dishearten him though, he didn't really even have time to think about it. As they neared the middle of the plaza, a long line of unhappy people in their wake, the thief must have noticed the stack of white feathered hens in wooden cages. The petcher raced by it, but not before flinging the entire stack backwards at those who were on his tail. Even behind the pit fighter, Elias still wound up crashing through a clucking wall of broken feathers and chicken shit. He made a small and quiet prayer to Rhysol then and there, promising to kill the bastard slowly.

Postby Gregory on May 7th, 2014, 11:52 pm

Gregory thought it was going pretty well at the moment. He still knew where the bloody thief was at the moment. While he was slowing down, so was the thief and whatever the thief had thrown at him hadn't send him sprawling on the flour yet and they had left the winding alleyways for the bustling market. At least it was easier to shove people out of the way then it was too throw aside a barrel or a wall. Made it a bit easier for him to follow him. He just needed to wait till the thief slowed down enough for him to grab him and beat the everliving shyke out of him. This was completely in the bag. The way he was lunging over obstacles had to be tiring him out!

Then he saw the thief push over a stack of wooden cages filled with chickens. “Oh for rhysol's sake!' He cursed. He couldn't avoid it. He couldn't and wouldn't slow down .. So he threw up his arms to protect his face and smashed through the cages. Feathers and chicken shit flying everywhere and covering him from head to too. He slapped away some of the chickens as they clawed him on his face and arms in their hurry to get away. Oh he was going to make this guy wish he never had been born when he got his hands on him!

The guy dove off into a side street again. Greg cursed and threw another chicken off him as he followed him down the alley. What was his deal with bloody alley's anyway. Couldn't the guy take the easy routes so he could be caught and get his just punishment. As soon as he turned the corner however he knew why he got into that one. The thief was leaning against a wall with a shit eating grin. Just as three of his buddies where blocking the way. At that moment gregory felt ashamed. He had grown up in sunberth. He should have seen this ploy coming. Still, no way around this mess. He had to get through it. And through it he did. HE didn't slow down from a run instead just put his shoulder forward and rammed straight into the guy closest to the right. Smashing him against the brick wall with all the force he had. He followed that up with a quick knee to the balls before letting him fall to the ground. Seemed that his buddies were just as good with fighting as the thief himself was. Meaning completely shyke at it. Two pair of hands grabbed him by the shoulders and threw him to the ground. He let out a groan and barely managed to roll out of the way from the stomp one of the remaining thugs. Scrambling back on his feet and putting his arms up just in time to block the punch of the other one.

Postby Elias Caldera on May 8th, 2014, 11:55 pm

"Woah woah, look out for the second one!" Duke cried, pointing and flailing as the scrawnier petcher who had been chasing him crashed into the fray His words turned to an exasperated grumble as the man collided with one of the thugs, smashing them both against the wall and crushing poor Theon as he lay slumped there cupping his broken balls. He was not going to be happy about this, not at all. Then again Theon was never happy with anything Duke did, but the cut purse just had a feeling, this was going to put a serious damper on their professional relationship.

Duke had his own problems to worry about though. Now that the other one, the one who's distraction earlier had saved him from a beating, was deadlocked in a sour excuse for wrestling match with one of Theon's boys, that left only one pair of hands to deal with the bodyguard of that bitch from before. Duke was a gambling man, except when his debt collectors came looking, then he was a missing man, but when he was a gambling man, he was usually pretty good at telling the odds. So the odds of the pit fighter losing to the likes of the scrawny lad who was now getting his face bashed in were pretty lopsided. As his luck would have it, the other one wasn't useless in a fight either. In fact, he was giving the thug he was fighting with a run for his money, even as he struggled to free himself from the headlock he had inelegantly fallen into. Duke sighed. He was tired, he was hungry, and his ribs were hurting something awful. He just couldn't catch a break today. Duke! He heard a pained moaned from in the middle of the two brawls. It was Theon, still holding onto what was left of his crumpled manhood. "Why do you always bring me trouble! I give you one rule, don't bring me no trouble, and what do you always, always bring me? Petching trouble!"

The thief groaned apologetically. The long haired one had managed to rip an arm free from his foe and had grabbed unto Duke's pant leg in some desperate attempt to keep him from running, or maybe he was trying to snatch back his sizable sack of Mizas. Nope he thought. Those are mine now, pal. Impassively, Duke smacked the hand away like he would an excitable puppy trying to jump up his leg. It ended up turning into a slapping bout between the two of them before Duke finally gave up and stepped away. This had not worked out like he had hoped. Not at all. It was time to move on to greener, less violent pastures.

"I'll make it up to yah, T. Promise." He said, shouting over the melee. All he received in return was an irritable moan. He stepped back and away from the fight, and as he did so he watched in utter frustration as Elias managed to shove free of his attacker and smash a fist right upside the poor bastards jaw in one fell swoop. The lad made to fall back, his eyes clearly glazed over from the blow, but instead, the man in black took hold of his assailant and threw him directly into his partner, or at least, it seemed that might have been his plan. With his buddy already beaten to a pulp and on the floor at the feet of the pit fighter, the thrown thug found himself flung directly at the bodyguard instead. The younger one didn't seem to care, as he suddenly and very unnervingly set his focus on Duke.

The thief didn't waste another moment. With another quiet apology, he took off again. He just couldn't catch a break today.

Both of the scum might have been sloppy fighters, but there were still two of them. That was one more he was really comfortable with handeling really. Usually he tried to thin out the ranks a bit if he was up against a group. Get them away from each other and beat the shykers down one by one. But he didn't have time for that now. Not to mention there weren't a lot of way's to seperate people in the alley anyway. He blocked a punch from one of the two guy's and tried to follow up on it. Grabbing the guy by the elbow, only for him to catch a punch in the face from the other vagik. Gregory let out an irritated growl and was about to reach for his dagger. Intent on putting some real, permanent hurt on those bastards, ebonstryfe and the law be petching damned. When the wierd guy who butted into his and his mistress' bussines, having been the reason why the bloody thief geo away in the first place, butted into the brawl and occupied one of the thugs.

Gregory grinned at that. “tough luck!” He said in a cheery tone as he slapped the man's guard away, grabbed him by the scruf and pulled him down. Ramming the hard part of his skull right in the man's face. Dazed the guy covered up his face. Blood dripping from his nose. Greg wasn't done with the shyker though. He slammed his free fist a few times in the man's stomach, making him double over before he slammed the guy against the wall of the alley. Letting him crumple to the ground. Barely in time to see the wierdo throw the other guy in his direction. Was it to knock him over? Trying to steal the money the theif stole? Greg didn't bother thinking about it and just reacted. Smashing his fist into the face of the thug that was being thrown towards him. Impacting with a dull thud, the man dropped to the ground like a bag of flour. Gregory looked back towards the thief with a feral grin on his face. Now really looking forwards to the moment he got that bastard in his hands. He didn't know yet what he was going too do too the guy. But he it was going to make that guy wish he had never been born!

He took off after the thief. Following him through the alley and back into a street. It wasn't a busy market street luckely, so the thief didn't have any chickens to throw at him this time.

“Just give up before you piss me off even more!” He yelled at the running thief. Drawing some stares from the people walking through the street. Though most just shook their heads and continued on with their daily lives. The theif took a sharp turn. Barreling into a nearbye building. Throwing the door shut right after. Gregory didn't pay him any head and just barreleld through. Throwing the unlocked door open. Just in time for him to see the theif throw a handfull of golden miza's into the crowd. “Stop him and you'll get more!” He yelled as he dissapeared through another door.

“Oh you petching vagik.” Greg growled as he saw where he was. A run down bar.. selling shady food and beer that had to be watered down. A wateringhole for the destute and ones in need of coin. There was just enough of a pause for the other guy to catch up and get inside the bar. Before chaos broke out. Some people dove for the coins on the ground. Others grinned and lunged for gregory, hungry for other miza's the guy still had. Others just joined in with the madness to get a good figth. Or because they were bumped into the head by the others in a mad dash.

I'm gonna kill him!” He cursed again and blocked a punch from one of the brawlers. Greeting the fighter with a nice knee in the groin.

"I know he did not just throw my money!" The fact that the pit fighter had over taken him again during the chase went from just being worrisome, to a full blown godsend. Everyone seemed to fixate on the brute, and not on the other unlucky bastard who had wandered in after him. When they couldn't get to him, they turned on each other. The result was a petching bar fight, and it was standing in Elias's way. The mage dropped to the floor instantly. He did not have time to fight every drunk dockworker in here, he had to go. Let the oaf fight them for me, he smiled deviously, I'll just take back my money and his mizas too. He began to crawl on all fours, shuffling passed brawling patrons and wrestling barmaids. Elias also had to admit he was looking for his coin as well. He managed to find one on his way towards the stairs where he had seen Duke escape to. As he laid a hand on it however, a another fell atop his. Both men looked up in surprise, then anger.

"Get of-" Elias punched him in the face. The man let out a nazley howl and fell back, tripping up a pair of fisherman and sending all three into a tumble that ended with more than a few bits of broken table flying across the room. Elias winced, but scooped up his gold none the less before scurrying off. He finally made it to the stain velvet that adorned the stairs and scrambled to his feet, only to realize a rough pair of hands were already helping him up. They then rudely spun him around and Elias's eyes widened in surprise. He found himself looking at one of the cutpurses from the alley! They had snuck into after the pit fighter and him, no doubt looking for revenge. In fact, by the way the thief was no cocking his right fist, Elias was pretty sure he knew the man wasn't just here to apologize for the misunderstanding earlier. The man grinned and savored Elias's shock... right up until the ale mug crashed against the side of his head, then both men were equally confused. When a bar stool promptly followed the mug, Elias knew Rhysol was on his side that day. The unlucky thief crumpled to the floor in a spray of splinters and the young mage wasted no time running up the stares and after Duke. As he spared a glance behind him however, he saw the pit fighter doing what pit fighters do, fighting. Behind him however, amidst the thrown bottles and flying bar stools, Elias could see the approach of 'T' as duke had called him. "Behind you!" Elias shouted, but the words were lost in the drown of the fight. T calmly patted the pit fighter on the shoulder, patiently waiting for the burly man to turn around. When he did, the thief swung his fist, hard.

Elias looked away and focused instead on the task at hand. Getting his money back. He bolted up the stairs, kicked down the door the bandit had run through, eliciting a second well deserved scream from the naked couple inside. He saw the open window and sprinted forward, climbing out unto the balcony with a lack of fear that could only be attributed to too much adrenaline and his own idiocy. He saw Duke only a few rooftops away. The man looked taken aback when Elias's head popped out the window, then fell into a deep sigh as he took off in the opposite direction. "Get back here!"

Rat Race

Postby Gregory on May 14th, 2014, 7:11 pm

Gregory was trying to force himself through the fighting crowd and towards the door the thief disappeared into. Which wasn't that easy now that they were almost lining up to smash his bloody teeth in. Luckily nobody in this rotten tavern was really keen on sharing the promised money with anybody else. So they spend more time smashing each others faces in so they couldn't get to him. Still left more then enough shykers around for gregory to smash into the ground. He just thanked kelwyn for the fact they hadn't realized taking him out first and then fighting each other for the money would probably be more effective.

He dodged a punch from a drunk, giving him an wild uppercut to the chin in return. Before pushing him away and grabbing a nearby mug and smashing it against the staggering man's temple. Dropping him like a sack of shyke. Gregory didn't get a chance to rest as two other brawlers cut of his path. Pushing each other out of the way trying to get him down first. Gregory smashed one of their arms out of the way with the mug. The man yelping in pain and withdrawing. The other man recoiled as well. Not wanting to get hit in the face by the mug. Gregory just threw it at him. Barely missing the man as he ducked. But gregory was still moving, grabbing a barstool and throwing it at the man again. The man dived to the ground the barstool missing once again. He heard a smash followed by the thud of a body. Seemed like he hat hit something at the very least. Gregory didn't care though and just kicked the prone man against the head. That connected with a satisfying twack. The man rolled over, clutching his bleeding head. Gregory turned towards the man that was still holding his arm in pain. He wasn't a threat anymore. Just as he was again going to try and go after the thief he felt a pat on his shoulder.

Gregory didn't take any chances. He didn't look behind him too see who patted him on the shoulder. He just swerved around and smashed his elbow against the man. Hitting him in the chest. He knew that he didn't have any friends in this tavern, or even in this entire town. So if somebody snuck up on him he would smash the petch out of them. The man staggered backwards a few steps. And another punch of gregory in the face laid the guy on the ground.

Gregory turned around and pushed his way through the barfight that was already coming to a close. The money that had been on the ground was gone. Already people were laying on the ground groaning in pain after the barfight and the theif was nowhere to be found. Gregory bolted up the stairs and kicked the door open.

“By rhysol's filthy knickers! Haven't you people ever learned to knock! We are bussy here!”

“Oh shudup old man! You can't get it up anyways.” Gregory snarled back, he was not in the mood to deal with any of this. He saw the other man that had been stolen from as well jump onto the rooftops.

“They have to be petching kidding me.” He said with an annoyed sigh as he climbed out of the window as well. His stomach roiling around when he looked down from it. Seeing the rather steep drop. “Petch. Petch.. petch Petc!” He cursed as he jumped over the gap and barely made it. Why the petch did that thief think it was a good idea to run over the bloody rooftops! He took of and tried to keep up with the other two. “When I get a my hands on you! Then I'm going to rip your fingernails off!” He yelled in pure rage.
