Common Snake-Tongue Arumenic

Near Kandukta Basin, 21st of Bell, 5th of Spring 514 A.V

It was late at night in the Jungle Wilds of Falyndar, the early spring jungle air filling the small Viper's nostrils as she trekked through the thick vegetation together with Senka, a Dhani guard and vitriolic comrade, both of them had been assigned on patrol duty, with Aka assisting the huge Constrictor guard as reimancer. Though Senka could be insufferable at times, Aka was relieved that she would not be patrolling alone that night, Senka's strong and bulky form could cover her while she unleashed her spells.

Even for a Master Reimancer, some spells still required concentration and while doing such, Aka was unable to make full use of her acrobat talents, and to decimate a whole Myrian group in one fell swoop... small spells were poor choice. "Ssso..." Aka put his hands behind her back as the human-formed Viper walked side by side with the much larger Constrictor in Dhani form, "Where are we going today?"

"Hm?" Senka looked diagonally down at the tiny small fry, a look of annoyance at first, but softened slightly, this patrol turned out to be boring and she needed someone to talk to, "The usssual, sssmall fry, around Zinrah, and oh..." Senka jeered, she could poke fun at the Viper's phobia, "Kandukta Basssin." As soon as Senka spoke the most dreadful - according to Aka - place in Falyndar, the Viper visibly flinched, "What'sss the matter, reimancer sssmall fry? Fisssh got your tongue?"

"H...hmph..." Aka looked away, grumbling some words, she didn't want to admit outloud to Senka that she was intimidated by the thought of going into the Kandukta Basin, no, no no, of all the places in Falyndar, why did she had to go there? With Senka to boot? For all Aka knew, the guard could play a lethal prank on her by pushing her into the waters. She needed to do something, she must do something to rectify this. Shifting her eyes, Aka's mind was desperately trying to form a plan to trick this guard, so she could run away, back home... Yes, they would understand, she would rather be punished by her superiors rather than risking her neck into the Basin. The Viper might be exaggerating but large bodies of water scared her more than being captured by Myrians.

*Chirp*

"?" They both heard it, the sound of a bird.

*Chirp chirp*

Correction, birds, there were more than one of them. Out of curiosity, both Aka and Senka stopped as they did what someone would logically do when observing birds, looked upwards. And there was on the branch of one tree, a flock of birds... beautiful birds, with feathers of varying vibrant color and long exotic tail. They were truly wonderful and a sight, Leth's light shining down upon them, only serve to accentuate their divine-like beauty. "What... are thossse?" Aka asked in her awe.

"Mmmm~" Senka took her left hand to rub her belly while her right kept holding her massive weapon, a halberd, Aka raised an eyebrow, they were both awed but for... different reaons it seemed, "Bird of Paradissse, they are called, but I rather call them, Sssnack of Paradisssse."

This prompted an eye-roll reaction from the Viper, just as she thought, all Senka could think about was hunting Myrians, wrestling, and of course, food. She had no eye for beauty, none at all. Aka had enough, she wanted to go home, who knows? Senka probably could mistake her for a snake and eat her, the possibility wasn't that far-fetched. As they both watched the bird, Aka smirked as she subtly exhumed her res in the form of gas from her feet, the reddish substance then shifted under Senka's form, forming a circle just wide enough for her large body. "Yeah, Sssenka, yeah, sssnacksss indeed... hey, you know sssomething?" Aka asked rhetorically as she willed her res to form a tube under the ground, then with a force of will, the Viper used her res to transform the covered dirt into air.

"Hmmm? What?" Senka quipped, raising a scaly eyebrow at the Viper's odd question, Aka usually disagreed with her on each and every occassion, something was up, but before Senka knew it. "Sss?" The guard felt she lot her footing as the ground beneath her literally disappeared into thin air. Taken by complete surprise, Senka fell into the spawned hole, she could climb out, but it would take some time, like a chime, before she could resurface. "Akaaaaaaaaa!!!" Of course it would be the petching small fry, who else had the ability to so freely manipulate the elements here? As far as Senka knew, only Aka unless those birds were reimancer birds. Senka's cream caused the birds to panic as they flew away with abandon. Senka could hear a swift shifting of feet, the Viper was running away, damn her, damn her to the Myrians! "When I find you! I will kill you!" The Constrictor snarled as she worked her way back up.

"Sssahahaha! Sssahahahahahaha!" The hiss-cackle of the small girl echoed within the jungle as Aka held her stomach while sprinting away as fast as she could, while laughing that was. It was fun to see Senka being outsmarted by a 'small fry'. Now, with the Constrictor out of the way, Aka could return to her comfortable fancy cavern-home, perhaps get a kiss or two from Evalin before tucking herself in bed. So caught up in her plans, Aka didn't realize she passed through a... rather odd scene, trees scratched everywhere, numerous trails on the ground, and the distant sound of "Yuk yuk yuk" echoing.

The Viper had no time to notice it of course, not when she realized she was running straight into a humanoid at high speed, "Waaagh!" the small girl crashed onto the figure, tumbling down together, they rolled on the ground before coming to a stop, Aka shook her head, then refocused her vision, half-planning to berate this figure for daring itself to block her path, but... as she looked upon him, her body froze, bronze-skinned, tattooed, bone weapons, clothes... this man was a... "Ssss! Myrian!" Aka snarled as she climbed off him then readied her hands by her sides, gaseous res already pooling into a sphere on each palms. One of her race's arch-nemesis, she would turn him to ashes.

OOCDynamic awkward entrance! If you don't like it, I can make adjustments. :)

[Kandukta Basin] Arch-Nemesis (Vitri)

Postby Vitri on May 4th, 2014, 12:52 am

.
Kandukta Basin, known as a good watering hole for alot of animals. It was a good place to hunt but this was not the reason why Vitri had come here today. Kandukta Basin was also known for it's fish, especially the delicious Falyndar fantails,
Vitri had ventured here in the hope of catching some of these wonderful fish to bring home to Taloba.

He had chosen a spot by one of the rivers leading into the basin. The waters were full of life and alot the different animals of the jungle came and went, it was a beautiful place in Vitri's eyes. His gear had been set aside a safe distance from the river bank on a dry spot so it wouldn't get wet and with his bow in hand and quiver at his waist he went to his task. Calm and patient he had stood at the river bank, sun at his back, ready to strike at the fish that came close to the surface. But the luck he had been hoping for had not been on his side, not only had no Fantails shown themselves but the other fish had evaded his attempts to catch them as well. He reflexes were just too slow, by the time he had drawn the bowstring and released the arrow the fish had already disappeared and his arrows struck only the empty water.

"Some tasks are better suited for others." He had admitted to himself after sitting by the river bank for bells and wasted several fishing arrows. He would just have to find some other price to bring back home. By then the sun had been started to set and Vitri had decided to move abit away from the basin to avoid nocturnal predators.

Now he was sitting on a large root by a small fire he had built to cook a few lizards, it was not a big meal but it would have to suffice for the day. He sat listening to the jungle's different voices as he relaxed against the big jungletree at his back, the voices of both predators and prey, the threatening roars and the whimpers of fear as the animals fought for survival. Few animals dared approach the little camp he had made, but there were always a few curious creatures that watched from a distance or from the treetops. This time it was a small pack of lemurs that watched him from the trees, their cautious eyes scanning the camp as he watched them.

After a few chimes the lemurs seemed to get startled by something further behind them because they all turned around to look into the distance, suddenly as one they started shrieking in wild panic and darted off in the other direction. They didn't care about Vitri anymore as they rushed past him.

Vitri sat up, alert and awake again, trying to find the source of their panic. He grabbed his bow that was leaning against the trunk of the tree beside him and took an arrow from his quiver, readying himself for a predator. None came, but the jungle around him seemed to have grown wild, paniced shrieks came from everywhere and even the predators roars had stopped. Growing worried by the animals behavior Vitri tried to listen through the chaos, trying to locate the source. An unfamiliar high pitched sound broke through the other shrieks. "Yuk Yuk Yuk." The sound grew nearer as Vitri stood there confused and trying to figure out what he was hearing. "Yuk Yuk Yuk."
The realization hit him like a wave. "Yukmen"

He could not tell how many of them there were and fighting Yukmen alone in the dark was not an option so much like the paniced animals he grabbed his gear and left his camp. They were close but he didn't think they had noticed his camp yet.
Not caring if he made alot of noise he ran into the jungle, distance was more important than stealth now. He kept as quick as a pace he could manage in the dark, avoiding hidden roots and branches on the jungle floor. But a savage smile spread across his lips as he fled, his heart beating fast with excitement. "The hunt has begun."

As he ran he tried to focus on telling if they were coming towards him or if they had gone another direction. Distracted as he was he didn't notice that something came from another direction and crashed into him, a surprised grunt left him as he was thrown onto the ground. He shook of the shock and looked down on the creature laying on his chest, his eyes widdened a little in surprise. "A woman?" But he quickly realized that she wasn't Myrian. His eyes narrowed and his face took on a threatening expression as he realized the possiblities, Dhani. The hiss the woman let out as she climbed of him proved it, he quickly rolled out of the way and got up. Bow in hand he quickly drew an arrow from his quiver and drew the bowstring, aiming at the creature infront of him.

At this distance it was not likely he could miss, he thought to himself. But the gaseous res in her hands had him a little worried. "Magic?" He pushed down his worries and quickly replaced it with another grin, but it was not a friendly grin, it was the grin of a determined predator. "Another hunt." He was on the verge of laughing out loud.

"Your head has a place on Taloba's walls, Skurak." He said to the woman, grinning. The thrill of the hunt increasing his pulse and heartbeat.

In the distance behind him the shrills of the Yukmen could be heard. "Yuk Yuk Yuk." He would have to finish this hunt quickly if he was to survive the night.

OOCNo it's fine! The fun part of the RP is to adapt to what's thrown at you! :D I hope my post is decent enough, my writing skills are a little bit rusty. Give me a poke if the font is hard to read.

The Myrian aimed his bow at her, and Aka's reptilian eyes immediately squinted in caution, she examined his form with her keen observational skills and what she could see so far, this Myrian was... young, yes, young and rather inexperienced. Aka had fought her share of Myrians, from young to veterans riding on Tigers and Ixams. This one was merely an infant compared to her, even though he was much taller, well, most beings in Falyndar were much taller than her anyway. Still, at this range, it wouldn't take a master archer to pierce her gut with that arrow, but her small form, inherent Viper reflexes, and acrobatic talents certainly helped her case.

The sphere that gathered in her hands had ignited into fireball with a force of her will, kept floating by the core still in pure res form, Aka was about to zig-zag and confuse him then slam his face with a fist full of flame, but before she could done so, a cacophony of 'Yuk yuk yuk' sound echoed around them, getting increasingly louder, and combined with the footsteps, something was stampeding to them, Aka noticed it too late as a large figure, about six feet tall slammed her from the side, tackling her down. "Aaaagh!" Aka instinctively reacted as she slammed both of her fireballs to the offensive figure.

Two flaming sphere crashed into the figure, igniting it into flames, Aka didn't have time to explode it, but it did the trick as the figure climbed off her then roared in pain. "Ha... ha, wha-?" Her slitted eyes went wide in disbelief, the charging figure was a... naked humanoid of some sort with tanned skin, bits of rocks marring its flesh, misshapen claws and teeth, it looked like a Myrian, but no... it sure as Hai wasn't, it was something else and one thing for sure, it was hostile.

Despite its flaming body, the figure charged at her again, like a raging ape, Aka gritted her teeth as she flexed her muscles, then jumped to her left, rolling on the ground the recovered, as she raised her head, Aka was already exhuming res inside her mouth. The monster skidded to a stop then looked at her, coal-black eyes blazing in predatory anger, then it pounced at her, but this time, Aka was ready, she flexed her legs then jumped back, causing the monster to miss its strike. Simultaneously, Aka also breathed out her res swiftly, then ignited them into flames, literally breathing fire from her mouth, the flames enveloped the monster as it roared in pain due to extreme heat and then... it fell to the ground, burned to a crisp.

"Ha... ha..." She didn't have time to recover as Aka looked to her surroundings, no less than a dozen of those creatures were surrounding her and the Myrian, and it looked like they were aiming to slaughter both Dhani and Myrian. She hitched her breath as more res enveloped her form, creating a sphere-like aura around her, the Myrian could come later, and hopefully, that barbarian could realize Aka was the only ticket to them staying alive, unless he turned out to be a master combatant of course.

Aka had never encountered Yukman before, and what an amazing first experience this was.

OOCOf course! Feel free to RP them as well!

Vitri watched in surprise as the large abonimation charged straight into the Dhani infront of him. His plan to quickly finish off the snake before the Yukmen showed up fell to pieces, but at least it looked like he wouldn't have to take care of the Dhani anymore. Or so he thought, but all he could do was stare in awe as the yukman burst into flames. As he watched the little woman's movement and magic he started to doubt that he could have finished her off to begin with.

A shrill followed by a thumping sound behind him brought him back to reality, it was only his instincts that saved him. As he spun around he raised the bow again and drew back the bowstring to his cheek. A yukman was rushing mindlessly towards him a short distance away, Vitri held his breath as he aimed quickly and then exhaled as he let the arrow fly.
The arrow dug into the Yukman's throat and it fell to it's knees, it's shriek changed to a gurgle as it scratched at the arrow. Vitri quickly drew another arrow and sent it into the Yukman's chest for good measure, he had no experience in fighting these abonimations but he took no chances after he had witnessed the big Yukman that had charged the Dhani. They seemed like rabid beasts made humanoid, these creatures did not belong in the jungle.

His pulse was throbbing in his ears as he scanned the darkness around them trying to find a way to get out of this mess, a dozen or so Yukmen approached them. It was too late to escape, the predator had caught up to it's prey. The stench of burning flesh reached his nostrils and he chanced a glance towards the Dhani, the only thing that remained of the big Yukman was a smoking pile of a charred body. She might be the only key to his survival he realized, he despised the idea but it was the only strategy he could come up with in this situation. He couldn't take on both the Yukmen and the Dhani at once, he doubted he could take on any of them alone in the first place. He would do what he had to do to survive and deal with the rest later.

He drew another arrow, he would only have a chance to get a few arrows off before he had to discard the bow, these creatures were fast and would close the distance quickly but every arrow increased his chance of survival. He drew a breath and the bowstring with and let it out as he let it fly towards the Yukmen.
OOCTell me if I'm overplaying my abilities or if I'm RPing the Yukmen wrong and I'll edit the post, I'm still uncertain about what my skillpoints allow me :p

This was ridiculous, she should have never abandoned Senka in the first place, the Viper could bet the Constrictor guard had more experience in dealing with these... whatever these monsters were, one thing for sure though, they weren't immune to flames and heat, only Ivak knew how relieved she was. The Viper stepped back, instinctively searching for the most friendly being in the vicinity... the Myrian, great, just great, if Senka saw this, she would personally wring Aka's neck for allying herself with an arch-enemy, but petch that, better to be wrung by a Constrictor than this earth-like abominations.

Aka's back then softly bumped with the Myrian now they were back-to-bacl against no less than a dozen Yukman surrounding them and by the looks of it, more would be arriving soon, Aka thought Myrians were the only endless species in the jungle, how wrong she was. The Yukmen all snarled and roared at them, Aka gritted her teeth as she fell to one knee then slammed her right hand into the ground, her res quickly dispersing in a circular position along the ground, "SSSHUT UP!" with a force of will, Aka caused a wall of earthen spikes, all jutting outwards, to rose from the ground around them.

Some Yukmen were immediately impaled, some scratched, and some were nimble enough to quickly jump back. "Ha... ha..." The Viper gasped for breath, she had created a little safe haven for them both, more and more Yukmen pouring into the scene and Aka knew she couldn't keep this up, even as a Master Reimancer, she had to think of something, anything. "..." She had no choice, the Viper closed her eyes as she muttered an apology to the jungle, the Nature, whoever Divine power governed it, "Y-you!" The Viper snarled with undisguised hostility at the Myrian, "C-cover me!" She commanded.

Assuming the Myrian would heed out of need for survival, Aka would then begin concentrating as she raised both of her hands upwards, thick amount of gaseous res flowing out from the eye-shaped scar on her both palms, these res then began gathering at about fifteen feet in the air, shaping into an increasingly larger sphere, larger, and larger. It would be some time before her spell was completed, but of course, some nimble Yukmen took the daring leap as they soared through the air, over the spikes, and landed near Aka and the Myrian, "N-no! Help!" The Viper didn't have time to react due to her occupied state, the Myrian must do all in his power to cover her, if they wanted to walk out of this in one piece.

.
Vitri had an arrow aimed at Yukman, but before he could release it another one caught him unaware from the side. It charged into him and threw him to the ground, in a savage frenzy it tried to reach Vitri's throat with it's teeth and Vitri struggled to keep it at bay by pressing his right forearm to the creatures own throat. The punches he threw to the oversized head had little to no effect and only resulted in a slash across his left arm. With a growl of anger Vitri threw the Yukman off of him and grabbed one of his arrows from his quiver, stabbing the Yukman in the eye but not before it manage to scratch him across the chest. The fight had only lasted a few ticks but Vitri was breathing heavily as he grabbed his bow and stood up, his left arm stung and was bleeding lightly. He quickly checked his wounds but his arm was functioning and the scratch on his chest didn't seem too deep, nothing dangerous yet. Something bumped into his back and he almost lashed out before he realized it was the Dhani.

Back to back with a Dhani, were there any worse ways to die? It was hard to imagine any. Slightly shocked Vitri watched as the Dhani created a barrier of spikes between themselves and the Yukmen. But the magic seemed to be taxing on the Dhani and there were still alot of Yukmen left.
"C-cover me!"
Vitri stiffened at the command and was about to retort but his words stuck in his throat and more than a little fear crept up his spine as a large sphere of res gathered above them, "Is she going to release an inferno on the jungle? This Dhani is insane!" but if she was getting exhausted it was probably the only way out if this and if she burned out all her energy he could still get out of this alive. He apologized silently to Caiyha and hoped that getting rid of these abonimations would be enough redeem himself a little for what he was about to let happen.

Her cry of help brought his attention back to the Yukmen, some of them had gotten past the spikes, it wasn't over yet. "I'm not doing this for you." He spat out as he raised his bow and an arrow. He released a quickshot towards one the Yukmen's chest, but he was not good enough for a shot like that and it hit the Yukman in the shoulder instead. The Yukman was thrown to the ground by the force of the shot, at least it bought him a little time. He let go of his bow and drew his dagger instead, he wasn't going to get anymore shots off. With a roar he charge the closest Yukman and threw himself into it. The fierce impact sent them both flying to the ground, Vitri ontop of the Yukman, the Yukman's head had hit the ground with a stunning force and before it could react further Vitri slammed his dagger deep into it's open mouth with both hands and gave it a mighty pull to the side. The dagger sliced open the Yukman's face from neck to mouth.

Another Yukman caught up and it's claws dug into Vitri's shoulders from behind, Vitri roared in pain and threw a backhand blow with the hilt of his dagger. With a loud "Klink!" the dagger struck a stone inbedded in the Yukman's flesh and sent a painfull shock back through Vitri's arm that almost made him drop the dagger. The Yukman let out a loud shrill and threw him away, he was stunned as he landed hard on his back and barely had time to gather his senses to roll away from one of the Yukman's strikes. It's fist hit the ground and it let out a hissing of frustration. Vitri stumbled to his feet and was greeted by a slash across his chest, he had to bite down a cry of pain as the claws dugh into his flesh. The only thing that kept him alive was that these creatures were no more than animals, the Yukman came at him but Vitri crouched down a little to brace himself and then heaved it back as it threw itself on him to give him space to use his dagger. The Yukman was off-balance and Vitri slammed his dagger into it's chest, it tried to grab for the dagger burried in it's chest but Vitri was too quick, he drew back the dagger and stabbed it again. The Yukman cried out in pain and Vitri pushed it down onto the ground where he left it to slowly die.

Bleeding and panting Vitri looked around for the last Yukman that had made it through the spikes. He found it, it had gotten up and was charging towards the Dhani, shiver of panic went through Vitri. "Petch!" he hissed though his panting and in a desperate attempt he threw his dagger at the Yukman, to his shock and surprise the dagger managed to dig itself into the it's leg. It wasn't severly wounded, it didn't even seem to slow it down but it worked, the Yukman stopped and turned towards Vitri instead. A savage grin spread across Vitri's face and the Yukman started towards him.

OOCI can try to finish of the last one if it suits you better! I just felt like my post was getting long. xD

Aka didn't have time, nor the need, to answer the Myrian's retort regarding the nature of his actions, whether he did it for her, for himself, or for whatever God the Myrian worshiped, as long as he covered her back, it would do. She watched in awe as the Myrian battled the invading Yukman, he wasn't a great fighter, but the ferocity and battle-lust, it could only belong to one of those monkeys. Aka hated them with passion, but she couldn't deny their love for battle.

She managed a smirk though when a Yukman tackled him down and dug its claws into his bronze flesh, but that smirk soon disappeared as another Yukman went unnoticed by both of them, and it was charging straight at her. "I-idiot! That one! Kill it, kill iiiiit!" Aka hissed as she kept exhuming her res, she couldn't stop now. Thankfully, the Myrian managed to slow down the Yukman then it diverted its attention to the Myrian, good. Aka was about to finish anyway.

"Sss... sahahahaha!" She cackled ominously as she dropped her hands, a humongous sphere of gaserous reddish res was floating above them, quaking with anger and ready to be commanded, Aka closed her eyes as she gave a prayer to Ivak, God of Flames, guide my fire tonight! Then her eyes flashed open as Aka roared, igniting her huge sphere of res, creating a min-sun floating above them.

With a confident smirk, Aka extended her right hand, then a huge stream of flame jutted out from the sun, striking the ground in heat, burning everything from plants to Yukman, she didn't stop there, her left hand extended as another stream of flame flowed from the sun, now the sun had two fiery 'arms' extending from its body to the ground, then Aka spun her body around, the sun's arms followed her motion as they spun and spun, blanketing the area around them in fire, flames, and heat.

High-pitched screams of Yukmen could be heard all around them as they all burned to ashes, the Master Reimancer basked in her fiery glory then after she had enough, Aka opted for the finale, she spread her remaining sun into a circular shape then slammed it into the ground, creating an explosion of fire and shockwave around the 'spike fortress', finishing off any remaining Yukman.

"Ha... Ha..." With that done, Aka slumped to the ground, her body exhausted by the massive display of power, if she was any less skilled, Aka would be dead of overgiving by now, she couldn't cast anymore spells without risking it at the moment, even as a Master. The Viper slightly raised her head as the Myrian, parting her lips to snarl at him, but she just went silent instead, could she do this? Thanking an enemy? Well, he did save her and she did save him, they both owed each other their lives. "Kuh..." Clenching her hands into fists, Aka stammered, "T-t... t..." She remembered about Tinnok, the Myrian-Dhani mixed blood, and how they formed a bond through battle, how odd, a flash of deja-vu. Through massive amount of effort, the Dhani finally plowed on "Thank y-you..." Then she dropped to the ground, drowsiness starting to take over her mind.

Ivak, please... don't let him kill me.

[Kandukta Basin] Arch-Nemesis (Vitri)

As Vitri finished of the last of the Yukmen that had gotten past the barrier the world erupted into madness. With a roar from the Dhani woman a wave of intense heat washed over Vitri and he had to use the corpse of the Yukman he was holding to shield the worst of it. The roaring flames, the screeching sound of dying Yukmen came from everywhere and the bright light from the flames turned the night into the brightest day "Complete madness, did she summon another sun?!" The intense heat forced Vitri to his knees, every breath he took hurt in his lungs and every part of his body stung, sweat was running down his body. It felt like the entire world would evaporate, how could anyone fight against this kind of power. He kept his eyes on the ground, unable to watch the raging inferno, waiting for it to stop or for his own death.

The explosion and shockwave that ended the raging inferno made his ears ring and almost threw him onto the ground. The silence that followed almost seemed odd after all the shrills and screams from the Yukmen. Vitri let go off the the corpse he had attempted to use as a shield, it was almost steaming from the intense heat during the raging madness, and slowly stood up. The sudden change of temperature made the air feel cold, shivering, from fear or the cold air he couldn't tell, he looked around at the destruction around them. Mixed feelings rose through him, feelings of awe, fear and an emotion of... was it respect? Towards a Dhani? He couldn't accept it but neither could he shake the feeling. But watching the scene darkened his mood, it could easily have gone out of control, the whole jungle could have been set ablace and turned into ashes. Even now a few flames still lingered, crackling softly in the dark but he didn't think they posed a threat of spreading.

He spun around towards the Dhani as she spoke ",thank y-you." and instantly regreted it, pain stabbed through his body at the sudden movement. Now that the fighting was over he felt exhausted and drained, his own blood mixed with the blood of the the Yukmen that was splattered all over his body and face had dried during the intense heat making his movements feeling stiff. He gathered himself, letting his dark mood fuel him, and walked up to the Dhani.

He stood staring down at the exhausted Dhani for a few ticks, considering his actions, before he reaching down. His hand wrapped around her throat and he pulled her to her feet.
"Don't thank me Dhani." He spat out, his common thick with accent, as he stared into her eyes.
This Dhani was dangerous, her magic was too dangerous, he could end her life right here. Ending her life could save alot of Myrian lives and she could do no more harm to the jungle and to Caiyha's domain. Yet he couldn't bring himself to crush her throat, the feeling of respect was mixed in with the hate and a feeling of.. wrongness. He could not end it like this, not after what had happened. With determinition reflecting in his eyes he grabbed her other hand and put it to his chest.
"Mark me with your fire, Dhani." he said with a low shaky growl, "One day I will hunt you down, that day this mark will be the last thing you will see before Dira has you in her grasp. This hunt is not over."
Vitri held her throat in a firm grip, ready to crush it incase she tried to kill him, he reasoned it was enough to keep her from killing him.

OOCNot as intense as I imagined it in my head but it will have to do ;D Feel free to have Vitri drop/realease you after you mark him if you want.

I do apologize to my current threadpartners. I had not expected work to become so overbearing, we usually have alot to do in summer but we've never had this much to do. It's taking up most of both my days and evenings. I'll try to respond to the current threads if I find some time.

Common Snake-Tongue Arumenic

The particular area of the jungle were utterly wounded by Aka's flames, burnt pieces of wood strewn everywhere, leaves turned to ashes, crisp corpses of Yukman, some with fires still on their forms, and a patch of flames here and there. They said that a Yukman's corpse must be burned or they would summon more of their ilk, it was a good thing that Aka's way of dealing them accomplished those task as she smote them. Aka didn't know how much Yukman was out there, surrounding her earthen spike fortress, but one thing for sure, she couldn't hear those annoying 'yuk yuk', no longer, they were all dead. The only thing alive and moving in the area was the Dhani and the... Myrian. A Myrian who was clearly not pleased being forced to work together with a Dhani.

"Ack-" Aka gasped for breath as the Myrian's bronze hand choked her throat then forced her to stand up, her inferior physical strength and exhaustion didn't give her much choice in the matter, Aka shakily stood up, both of her hands grasping the Myrian's arm, "..." She didn't reply to him, she couldn't even if she wanted to. This was it, it was foolish of her to ever trust a Myrian, but what choice did she have? She couldn't handle those monsters alone, their sheer numbers and fast movements would overwhelm her, not letting her unleash her spells, even for a master, big spells required time to cast. In the back of her mind, Aka prayed to Ivak that he would grant her another chance, she didn't want to end this way.

The Myrian did something unexpected though, he grabbed her hand then put it on his chest, asking him to 'mark' her. Aka was confused, she was no god, she couldn't 'mark' anyone, did this Myrian think she was one? How foolish... but his words confirmed otherwise, he wanted her to scar him, so he could remember her. Was this the Myrian way? Perhaps, but, again, she didn't have a choice in the matter, he could crush her throat as easly as snapping a twig. "Ki..." With a wince, Aka gritted her teeth as she exhumed what res she had left to cover her palm, then quickly transmuted them to fire, the heat branding itself on the Myrian's chest, after the deed was done, he released her, perhaps due to pain as well.

"Ha... ha..." Aka grasped at her throat as she fell to the ground. "Ku..." She didn't want to stay here, she wanted to go home, Senka was likely looking for her and if she saw this Myrian, the guard would kill him on sight and frankly, a single Myrian, especially this young one, couldn't defeat an experienced Dhani warrior. Wait? Why did she feel concerned about his well-being? She should stall time and let Senka came to them, finishing the job, but why? Aka felt an odd amount of respect for this arch-enemy, for saving her and for deciding to not kill her, at least for now.

The Viper clenched her hands into fists as she stammered, "L-leave..." She whispered, then growled, "I... I sssaid leave! Get out of here!" Or you will die. She couldn't bring herself to say it, Aka then used the res on her palm to travel to a earthen spike, removing one of them, creating an 'exit' from her fortress. Not waiting for his reply, the Viper stood up as she forced to dim down the pain, her nimble legs carried her out then promptly sprinting away from the area.

What have I done?

[Kandukta Basin] Arch-Nemesis (Vitri)

His body shook with the agonising pain, he had to grit his teeth to keep down a cry of pain as she burned his flesh. It took almost all of his focus just to remain upright and keep a hold of the Dhani. When she was finished he dropped her and took a few unsteady steps back, the pain was overwhelming, his breath came in short bursts through gritted teeth and the whole world felt blurry. He heard the Dhani's words but they didn't register in his head, "I... I sssaid leave! Get out of here!". He was exhausted and in pain, all he wanted to do was to lay down but he was afraid he was not going to be able to get up again if he did.

He barely noted the Dhani leaving and it took him a while for him to gather his wits, leave she had said but not as an advice it had been more of a warning. Given the circumstances, odd as they were, it was probably best to listen to the Dhani. He was mildly surprised to his own willingness to listen to a Dhani but at this point he didn't care anymore, he just wanted to get away from this nightmare.

He picked up his backpack where he had left it during the madness and forced his body into action. Every movement was agony, every step he took sent a jolt of pain through his body and the scar on his chest felt like it was on fire but he clenched his teeth together and forced himself to endure it and soon he had picked up a slow jog. The sooner he left his place behind him the better.

After running at a slow pace for half a bell he had to stop to catch his breath and get his bearing, he had no idea where he was going. He slumped down, exhausted, against a tree and tried to even his breathing. He looked down at his body, covered in dried blood, bruises and burn marks, he was bleeding from his chest again. He would have to stop the bleeding or he wouldn't make it to Taloba before he collapsed from bloodloss. He didn't have anything in his backpack he could use so he dug up a big patch of moss and with a groan of pain pressed it against his chest wound, carefully avoiding the burn mark. He tied a few bowstrings together and wrapped it around his chest to keep the moss in place, he repeated the process on his left arm. It wasn't pretty but it would have to do untill he reached Taloba.

Looking around he tried to get his bearing, was he lost? He tried to recall where he had started from and started laughing to himself as he realized he had originally gone on a fishing trip but quickly stopped himself, it hurt too much to laugh. After determining where he was, or as close to a guess he could manage he forced himself to stand up. He set a slow pace and started walking in the direction he thought Taloba would be, it was going to be a long painful walk, he was further away from Taloba than he would have liked.
