Amoros Vittore

Appearance

Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 31
Birthday: 38th Winter, 483
Birthplace: Ravok

Appearance: Amoros is tall, well-built, and decidedly average-looking: not unattractive, but not overly handsome either, especially given the almost constantly injured state of his face. He carefully keeps his appearance as generic and distinctive as he can, wearing unremarkable clothes, keeping himself clean-shaven, keeping his hair tidy and boring: an intentional effort to make him as difficult to describe and as unobtrusive as possible.

Character Concept

Amoros is a talented brawler, but a decidedly untalented thief. A thug, through and through, Amoros excels at two things: breaking things, and fixing them. The latter is a reaction to the former: with the number of chairs and stools broken over the course of his numerous bar fights, it quickly became much less expensive to learn to repair the damage than pay for replacements.

Much of his youth was spent away from the city, enjoying misadventures on dry land, but lately he has returned to Ravok, ostensibly to "settle down".

Character History

Amoros is the son of an alleged member of the Black Sun (or at least, so he claimed at the time), and a not entirely willing barmaid from one of Ravok's taverns. A painful reminder of a traumatic experience, Amoros' mother vented her frustrations at her son; his father was nowhere to be found, fleeing the city for fear of reprisals from the barmaid's family and friends. Amoros reacted to his mother's hatred and emotional abuse by making himself as immune to it as he could, throwing himself into every fight he could find in order to distract himself with physical pain instead.

Ultimately, Amoros left the city: his initial hope was to track down his father, but he soon gave up, travelling from settlement to settlement doing just enough honest work and dishonest stealing to get by. He came back to Ravok recently, and while he claims he simply grew bored and came home, no one who knows him really buys that: Amoros has never been a particularly convincing liar.

Fluent Language: Common

Amaros does not speak any other languages, nor does he want to. In fact, he is deliberately ignorant of other languages, and when confronted with them he will simply speak loudly in common until those speaking it adapt to accommodate him.

Heirloom
Amoros has a suit of studded leather armor that belonged to his father, left behind in his mother's room because his father "departed too quickly" (through the window) to take it with him.

The armor is dyed black, and the studs have been blackened to match. It is not as well maintained as it might be, bearing the skuffs and scratches of Amoros' misadventures since acquiring it. The armor comes with a masked cowl that covers almost all of the wearer's face, though Amoros usually chooses not to wear it unless he needs to, disliking the way it interferes with his peripheral vision.

Housing
Location: Ravok

House: Average Small Cubicle

A small, single room apartment provided by the NHC. It is cluttered and dusty, and feels more like a place where items are stored than a room that is lived in. Reaching the bed involves navigating across a flaw strewn with half-repaired knick-knacks and dubiously acquired "souvenirs".
