AppearanceRace: Human
Gender: Male
Age: Twenty
Birthday: Day, Season, Year.
Birthplace: Lhavit
Appearance: Tenn has brown eyes framed by a slighly rounded face and a mass of black hair that drapes down the back of his head and hug his neck. Drawn black brows and long black lashes further compliment the picture, making him look deep in thought. His face as well as body is lean and lightly tanned, with long limbs and delicate fingers. He is not exceptionally muscular in the traditional sense, but neither is he skinny. His legs are slightly longer than his upper body, and he does tend to stand above most. Tenn can be found wearing a simple black shirt and pair of matching pants. His boots and jet-black scarf are likewise black, but his thin cloak is as deep blue as the pre-dusk sky.
Character ConceptContrary to his appearance, Tenn is no somber gravedigger. His dream is to harmonize beauty and magic in an art form all of its own. He has a fascination with all things artistic and magical, particularly ones that catch the eye. He wishes to travel, but is also hesitant to leave his beautiful city out of fear that whatever he might find outside it could not compare.
Though he considers himself open-minded and tolerant of most religions, cultures, and appearances, Tenn is proud and somewhat vain. Some of his passion for beauty has leaked into his perception of his own appearance, and he constantly seeks to perfect himself physically and socially. He is succeptable to flattery, but insults regarding his appearance or works of art can have not-so-subtle and embarrassing consequences.
He is not some stuck-up pomp, however. Nicely worded criticism is perfectly acceptable and sometimes rewarded for its truthfulness. And Tenn is, in a way, beautiful. His appearance is flawless and delicate, with the exception of a nasty scar spanning the length of his entire right torso (kept secret from all but his sister). His sense of style and all things regarding beauty and class is also finely tuned, lending him an aura of graceful nobility that he might not actually posess. Though he usually appears serious or deep in thought, a few seconds of lighthearted talk usually serves to dissolve his aloof mask into something much more open and friendly. Because of his general attitude and obsession with beauty, most people are too self-concious or consider Tenn too cold to make him their aquaintance, so Tenn possesses few friends. Tenn secretly considers himself something of a coward, and his fear of the outside world is the most potent leash keeping his straining curiosity from leading him out of the city.
Character HistoryThe Pathaways have always been a middle-class family, and are proud of their status of Autava in Lhavit. Tenn was well-educated as a child, and brought up to worship no gods but the one he would decide to follow as a man. His family valued independence, which was crucial to Tenn and his twin sister Sasha when first their father and then their mother passed away when the siblings were sixteen. His mother's death haunts Tenn to this day, and he wears mostly black and his mother's black scarf year-round to demonstrate his devotion to her even in death. She worshipped the Moon God, as Tenn would have if she hadn't died prematurely. This is because he blamed the God for letting her pass away as quickly as she did, and he still shelters a deeply ingrained resentment against the deity. His sister found work as a librarian, and he became apprenticed to an Animist by the name of Laki. She was a human who would breath life into toys and the occasional golem in exchange for Kina, and she saw potential in the nimble-fingered boy who wandered into her shop quite on accident. Not long after, he began to assist her as an official apprentice. On his twentieth birthday he bought a house of his own and graduated from Laki's assistant to full-time partner, specializing specifically in the animation of clothes and various fabrics. He earns a decent wage, but is not content. Tempted by stories of far-off lands and cultures, he wishes to travel the world and see it all for himself. And one day, he will.

Heirloom: His mother's jet-black scarf which he wears whenever he is not asleep. It is of average quality, and has had to be repaired by Tenn several times. Nevertheless, it is in very good condition.
HousingLocation: Lhavit
House: A small house built of skyglass, it is surrounded by lush grasses and is suitable for a maximum of four people to live in at once, though it would be a bit cramped. It is decorated with warm fabrics and a carpet soft to the touch. It has a table, a simple bed, and a few chairs along with a small hearth for the winter. Tenn's favorite bit of furniture is the giant couch that takes up just less than half of the room, forming a crescent shape around the hearth.
