After recognising that the child was a mute Aliara attempted to pay more attention to her movements and stance however Aliara still found herself getting lost and confused about what the child was thinking, she was a person who was paid to stab people not to read their minds. Frowning slightly Aliara considered taking the poor girl home, she could be a thief and take her for everything she owned, or maybe Aliara could take her to the Drunken fish and make sure she is well feed and in a warm safe spot at least as she left the child.

“C’mon i know where to go,”

Smiling reassuringly Aliara grasped the girls hand and began to drag her along, if the pair were going any other place Aliara would have left the child behind her, simply following but up and around the docks Aliara would most likely lost her to a slaver or even just someone who thought she was cute. stopping in her tracks not even noticing if the girl was struggling in her grip.

“Kay’ I am going to pick you up to stop you getting pushed over at the docks okay?”

Watching the girls eyes she began to wonder if she had taken a step too far, after all she had just manhandled a child because she was impatient. This time she would wait for the girl to give permission.

Ef allowed herself to be pulled along through the city, though she doubted she could have out muscled this woman anyways. The woman said she said she had a place in mind, And well it wasn't like Ef had anything else to do, So Ef allowed herself to be drug through the city, not really questioning the hand that pulled her along. Ef allowed her mind to drift as her feet moved automatically, a bad habit that caused her to bump into many a stranger. The problem Ef was facin was that, she didn't like people, but at the same time felt as if every fiber of her being was telling her to be around people. It scared her a little, being around new people, especially in a place like this, It wasn't known for it's hospitality.

After a short while of walking Ef began to smell the tale tell signs of fish ad water, Ef had never been to the docks but the smell told her that that was likely the way they were going.

At some point the woman pulling her along stopped causing her to bump right into her. The woman asked if Ef would allow her to pick her up. Ef looked at the woman, a brief moment of hesitation, If Ef allowed herself to be carried she was that much more at the mercy of the woman. Ef slowly nodded in response but it wouldn't be a stretch to say that the though of being carried made her nervous, and yet a little happy, no one had ever carried her before, at least not since infancy, and the place they were in did hold even rougher looking men that the urban side of the city.

Ef nodded again a little more confidently the second time, spreading her arms so that she could be picked up easier, At least she hoped that that would make it easier, Ef wasn't sure what to do in the slightest in this odd situation..

Wrapping the child's arms around her neck Aliara hoisted the girl up onto her back into a piggy back and she was a lot heavier than Aliara had first thought. Holding the girls legs firmly to her sides Aliara began to continue along the path that would take them threw the markets. Aliara personally loved the market with all the bustling people and wares that found their way there it was amazing.

Hitching the girl up again Aliara weaved in and out of the crowds carefully ducking when necessary so neither of the two would hit their heads, the smell of fish was strong as was the smell of salt and it brought a large smile to her face. This reminded her so much of her childhood and it made her ask a question she hadn't thought of in years, where was her father? Pondering for a moment Aliara slowed her speed. she had so to stay positive, it was inter so her father would not be returning anyway, Aliara blinked away the thoughts and turned left making her way to the Drunken Fish.

As Aliara moved throughout the crowds she notices that people would stare at her then to the child on her back and when she caught them Aliara would stick her tongue out. People in the street are judgemental and always assuming something about you, whether it was if Aliara was going to murder them or steal everything they owned, Sunberth the home of the judgemental strangers

Alrighty little one, the place coming up is where i eat dinner and they have a great range of food,”

Smiling again Aliara made the last couple of inches towards the Tavern and slowly put the kid down. Her muscles sighed in relief as the weight was lifted from her back. Holding the door open Aliara stared out into the docks as she waited for the girl to walk inside, one day she would make her way to kalinor and it would be soon.

Ef was not sure what it would be like to be carried but She was very surprised as to what it was like to be carried, but she did what the woman gestured for her to do and ended up on her back. Ef was surprised this had not been what she had imagined when she had been told she was going to be carried.

Ef smiled she was beginning to think that this woman may really be the first nice person she had met since coming to this terrible city. Ef liked her new position, it was the first time she had been able to see above the heads of others, Ef wished she could be tall. Ef liked the smell of the woman carrying her too, it was a good smell that made her think of the ocean. Ef let herself be carried, though she had the nagging suspicion that she was being a burden for the woman. She would have to do something nice for her at some point to repay her kindness. perhaps she could help her in some way, Ef could not do much beyond what little medicine she had learned, beyond that Ef hated how useless she felt. She needed to change, to be more helpful to those around her.

Enjoying the experience Ef looked about the city enjoying the new experience of seeing things from a higher perspective, Ef was also enjoying the experience of being in contact with another person, sharing there warmth in the inadvertent hug that their position put Ef in. Ef saw many people from stony faced sailors to loud fishers wives yelling at children running through the streets.

Eventually the smell of the salty sea became clearer and they arrived that the place the woman said she ate her dinners at. And according to her it had a great variety of meals available, Ef hadn't eaten decent food since arriving on Sunberth the though made her stomach growl a little in anticipation

Walking into the place she looked around taking in the smells and letting a smile splay across her face, not a forced one but a genuine smile of happiness. Looking at the woman Ef waited, this was not a place she was familiar with and she was going to wait on the woman's command.

Following the girl inside Aliara smiled as she saw the girl lighten up, slipping past she found a table near the window and sat waiting for the girl to join her, the drunken fish was a great place once you got past the sailors and strong smell of salt. The interior was always dim however it still made Aliara feel warm, maybe because she was so used to it or because her past was spent in here. Looking out the window she could see the sun clearing and guessed the time to be nearing afternoon, she would have to get going soon so she would be home before dark.

I used to sit at the windows as kid and see if fathers ship was here,”

It was an odd remark but Aliara almost hopped it would make the child feel more comfortable in a large tavern filled with harge men, the more Aliara thought about it the more Aliara realised that this was more intimidating than the pigs foot, with all the dark corners and creepy men. Smiling back at the small girl Aliara looked back outside at the sun,

“Little one, its getting a bit late and i might have to go shortly are you going to be okay?”

Ef liked the place, it wasn't very clean, and it didn't smell the best, but it was warm and it was homey, so Ef liked it. The woman told her that she had sat here when she was a child looking out for her fathers ship, he must have been a boater of some sort, though Ef did not know much of that industry. The waom asked her if she would be alright after she left, Her answer was a single shrug, Ef didn't know what she would be doing after the woman left her, Ef would have to figure something out, but that was later Ef wouldn't bother the woman with her problems. Sitting at the table with the woman Ef thought about how kind the woman had been to her and how she had shared things about herself with Ef, even though Ef had been unable to share anything in return with her. Ef wanted to change that, She wanted to at least tell the woman her name.

Digging into her bag Ef found what she was looking for, It was a gift from her mother from when they had parted, long ago, Ef no longer even remembered the face of her mother, she had been raised as livestock among livestock, so the fact that she had the gift had been enough for Ef. It was a bracelet though it had been sized so that Ef could where it as a color when in animal form. It was a simple leather band with six black obsidian beads and a single white chalky one with the name Ef carved into it.

Ef timidly held it out to the woman, Ef trusted her enough at this point to not take it from her. Pointing at the white bead Ef pointed to herself. as if to say "this is me".
