Asen looked taken aback at the mention of rest. The Eypharian had gone all quiet and uncomfortable just a moment before. Did he not feel safe in Syliras? It could be something related to his other arms.

I know exactly how that feels, mountain man. Gettin' targeted just 'cause you're a tad different from the rest. Couple o' boys liked to bully me 'cause my da was Dhani, even though it didn't show.

The squire punched the taller man in one of his upper arms lightly, giving him a grin. "Alright then, Aventis. I'm gonna have to ask you about some stuff later, though. Care to escort me back to the dorms, good ser?" she asked, offering the crook of her arm.

"Oh, also, y'said you were gonna pay. Don't forget about that," Asen pointed out. She wasn't about to let someone weasel their way out of paying for her injuries just because they were cute, no ser.

She did want to pinch his cheeks, though. Cutie.

[Aventis]

The Eypharian justled a tad in response for the soft slug that the girl delivered in the friendliest manner a punch can be delivered to his upper shoulder. It seemed that she had either forgiven him or was employing a clever strategy to have him leave with a smile, content with himself and content with leaving Asen to her own devices. Aventis couldn’t help but heavily conclude on the latter option of the two. He was too violent. He was too violent to innocent things. It wasn’t… Honorable. Or heroic. He needed to stop. This was one step too far.

“Oh, also, y'said you were gonna pay. Don't forget about that,” The girl said.

Aventis was silently baffled by the girl’s ability to remain kipper and upbeat about the ordeal. He would’ve commented on it, but they had to get out quick.

The puke was something of an issue and the only thing Aventis had to clean it with was his cloak.

No thanks.

“I didn’t forget, Asen. We’re knighthood. It’s free.”

He paused for a moment, considering.

“And… Yeah… I’ll escort you back.”

It was great to see Asen struggling with not being the superior fighter and then dealing with a really annoying injury. She's a feisty one and I love it. Since you got the jaw healed there will be no lasting ill effects.

It was a really amazing read. I just wanted to tell Aventis it wasn't his fault and to stop being so hard on himself the whole time. He's such a fascinating character and I can't wait to learn more about him.
