Flashback Date: Day 2, Fall, 513 AV - To be edited
Location: Wilderness outside of Ravok

Redd felt the wind ruffle her red brindled coat as she slowly moved to crouch down, her four legs taking her weight with a small shudder. The untrained wolf still needed to take things slow, for she normally would let excitement take a hold and that would be the end of the rabbit, well at least the scent she was tracking smelled like rabbit. It would be gone faster than she could blink. Quick little things, she told herself as her tongue darted out to lick her black nose. Her nose dipped to scent the fertile earth underneath her paws as the breeze picked up again. The leaves above her rustled with a soothing sound, the young wolf always imagined that the trees and the wind were playing a game, of what? She didn’t know. The forest that currently surrounded the wolf was a slight green but was beginning to fade to a brownish amber, it was the tell-tale sign that within the coming months, that fall would soon give away to winter. When winter came, then so too would the snow and a shiver shuddered through the wolf. It was not her favourite time of the year.

As those thoughts passed through the wolf’s mind, she caught a distinct scent, one that had one ear flicking forwards, while another flicking backwards. It was slightly sweet with background notes of flowers and grass. The wolf would have palmed it off to the fact that she was standing in a forest, surrounded by such plants, if it hadn’t been for the accompanying small little paw prints clearly outline in the soft dirt of the ground. Victory! Thought Redd as she slowly began to follow these footprints, but she noticed that the scent wasn’t at all fresh, but it wasn’t old either, for the scent didn’t smell like the dusty forest floor with the hint of drying old leaves. At least not yet. The wolf wasn’t the most accomplished tracker of course, but she did know that she was tracking a small animal judging from the size of the very paw print itself. Her tongue darted out and licked her nose at the very thought of her prey still being out in the open, what-ever it was.

The red wolf moved forwards, her golden orbs keeping an eye out for a hint of wild life, or even the hint of her prey. Maybe, she might even stumble across the tracks of an even bigger prey, but she highly doubted that she could have killed bigger prey alone and untrained as she was. So, she would just have to settle for what-ever small prey that she would find that belonged to these small tracks. Occasionally, the sun would peek through the leaves that swayed gently above. It reminded her of a time where the pups of the old pack that she used to be in, would jump up from where ever they were hiding, only to pounce on another pup. They didn’t have a name for it, mostly because of the simple fact being, that they didn’t talk, only communicated through their body and with growls or barks. It was what made Ravok so confusing to Redd, for the people said one thing, but their body said something completely different. Suddenly, her golden eyes finally found their target and Redd stopped, both ears flickered forwards as she crouched down low so then her stomach brushed the ground underneath her. Her limbs and muscles quivered with this effort, but she forced them to obey as her sight locked on to the small body of a brown rabbit, contently nibbling on a small branch of a green, leafy bush.

The sun shining bright in the air still had enough in it to sear a person, giving one that odd feeling of being cold cause of the wind, yet still hot at the same time. Aleister couldn't say that he enjoyed it and thought that no one else ever would either. Thankfully the branches of the trees hid the sphere of light and not many rays caught him here. Today he had taken Red with him on the trip. He didn't want to, but the Kelvic had begged to come along so he could to gather up some herbs. Aleister didn't like taking him along to these trips cause the bird didn't know much in the ways of surviving, and Aleister always felt like he had to baby sit him. It was odd that Red didn't know much in the area since he had spent a long time with Aleisters father in the past, but hadn't picked much up from him. None the less Red was here and that was that. If he got hurt maybe the stubborn parrot will learn. Though, Red was right. It was fall and when winter hits, he will not be able to find anything under the heavy blanket of white.

When they arrived ashore, having gotten a lift from an old man with his little rowing boat who was about to go out fishing, first thing they did was set up a little camp. They needed to make sure they got ready before darkness fell cause then it would just get harder to do anything, let alone find firewood and a decent shelter. Aleister had negotiated with the man to come pick them up in three days the same place just after midday. In return the man would get a bit of game from him or in the worst case scenario some mizas.
Now Aleister in his green headband was stalking around, his long coat flaring in the wind from time to time, arrow knocked, looking for a prey while Red flew around in his macaw form, looking for herbs and roots, and mushrooms to pick. It was safer for him to stay that way and just carry a little basket in his beak, flying back and forth between the camp spot when the load became too heavy. Though if someone would see him in his human form, naked like the sun, picking up the spoils of gathering, it would be a good laugh. Not that the bird would mind. He had no modesty.

He hadn't managed to spot any animals yet, being out here creeping for about an hour and a half. Only Red's bright tail flashing in between the trees could be seen from time to time, but that did not worry him much. He was confident that he'll find something to prey on, that's why he was ready and alert. And besides, perhaps the red bird will get an animals attention and make it overlook the real threat. The wind started to pick up and that was both good and bad for Aleister. It would be harder to hear him move, yet his scent might get blown at the animal he was after. If he was watchful that would not happen. Carefully avoiding any branches he was thankful that not many leaves had fallen yet, to get under his feat and crunch like a thousand falling thees to the ears of the weary. A bit further and from the corner of his eye he saw something moving. It was pure luck. A bit more and he would have missed it. Aleister slowly without any sudden moves crouched lower, setting his eyes on a brown furred rabbit, nibbling on a little green bush. He didn't take long to think and pulled back the bowstring so that the knuckle of his thumb touched his cheek. He aimed for a moment and... Right when he loosed the arrow a red coated animal had launched for the rabbit, making it jump in the air dodging and hopping away faster than the wind. The arrow stuck in the ground inches away from the attacker that in the confusion made Aleister think it was a fox, but his heart skipped a beat when he realized it instead was a wolf. He lurched to his feat in an initial panic as the predator looked at him, but made himself stop the sudden movements, slowly drawing an arrow from his quiver. He knocked it, but did not draw it. If he was in luck, the wolf wasn't looking for a fight and both of them would just got their own separate ways.

Day 2, Fall, 514 AV
The day started as any other. Two days had passed, since the official fall had started. No leafs had actually started to fall of trees and no plants seemed to lose their green. Everything was pleasant, nice and...maybe not hot, but warm definitely. Like always. Aleister was sleeping still, taking a lot of time for himself to rest. For Red it was annoying and it had two reasons, first, him being a bird Kelvic, the male was a early riser, second, it too much resembled his father, which had left them and the world of living all together. Maybe his resemblance, or even the fact, that two of them were related by blood, made Red feel unease around the guy now and then.

But yes, came the moment, when Aleister finally woke up. You can imagine, that the macaw wasn't really happy and, of course, he showed it in his attitude. So in that kind of, maybe, awkward tone ended the "morning". After this, Aleister was heading out for three days to hunt...AGAIN...And leave Red alone in the house...AGAIN. The Kelvic wasn't happy about that thought, so, with few solid arguments, the bird convinced Aleister to take him along.

After many hours of sailing and siting on Aleisters shoulder, they finally reached the shore. The bird spread his wings wide open and shot himself high in the sky. Air, breeze and all this was so refreshing. Flying, like for any bird, was the biggest freedom Red could ask. Even, if he would be collared for rest of his life, if he can fly, he doesn't need anything else. Of course, those were Reds thoughts in the moment and if the situation would actually acquire, maybe Claw would think differently.

ImageSo, his main agenda was to gather quite popular, but good plant for many quite grave illnesses. To harvest or prepare it for use is also really easy, taking almost no skill. Now the hardest part would be to find it in all the grass, plus, hidden by all the trees around.
But for now there was one more thing he needed to do. Pick up some nuts. Chestnuts were delicious and a good extra in almost any dish...Well, at least what he had heard from people in market so.

After some time, the Kelvic didn't know how long, Red had collected few mushrooms, he didn't know the name, but had ate quite a lot of them on his way to Ravok. Around 5 cm tall, they had brown caps and a bit buttery taste. While not tasting bad raw, when in fire they were a real treat. For shame, while these mushrooms could be found in great numbers, the same wasn't for nut trees. There was literately none. What else, Red noticed, that these mushrooms only grew under certain trees. He flew on one of them, to examine it, so he could remember how they look later on.

Whit once again full basket of mushrooms, Red was flying back to camp, when something rushed from the place Aleister was hunting and ran quickly away. Understanding, that it was once again a slipped lunch, the bird figured to have a word or two with the male. When landing, Red set on his shoulder, but once his claws connected with Aleisters shoulder, the Kelvic felt the tension in the muscles. Turning to face, what the Inarta was staring at, the bird saw a wolf. Fuck this trip!

Redd watched the rabbit for a moment as she tried to still her shaking form and she inhaled, allowing the rush of oxygen to expand her lungs to accommodate the intake of air. Then, she exhaled, slow and steady through her nose as both ears flickered backwards to press back against her skull. The gentle wind brushed and ruffled her brindled red coat as she relaxed her stiff posture a little, but not too much for fear that her legs wouldn’t hold her weight. She watched as the rabbit paused, shifted its weight back onto its hind legs so then it could reach up and grab a leaf off of the bush that was a little higher. Her main goal, was to focus, to shift out all of the other sights and sounds… However distracting that was. For a hunter had to be one hundred percent focused and the wolf was anything but, for she couldn’t help but focus on her growling stomach and the wind that played through the trees. She also heard a bird call not too far away from the position that she sat crouched upon. However, the rabbit wasn’t going to wait for Redd to strike apparently, it had heard something else as its head snapped up, its ears shifting as if it was listening to another sound close by.

The rabbit jumped up just as the young wolf decided to hell with it and she launched forwards, her hind feet kicking into the soft ground underneath her paws to propel her forwards, her jaws opening wide. However, she was just a tad too slow and her frustrated jaws snapped around nothing but air as she felt her nose brush against the furry tail of the rabbit. She would have snapped out again in an attempt to get a lucky grab, but an arrow landed just in front of her in the ground, its shaft making a twang sound as it vibrated from the impact. Her golden hues focused upon this human object with a snarl and she lifted her head to view the human standing a good distance from her with another arrow at the ready. Her gaze slid over the man’s build and was slightly surprised that it was a light instead of a more bulkier build. He had red hair and wore… Something on his face, something that made Redd think of windows. However, behind those small windows were green eyes and she stared at them as her top lip pulled upwards to reveal her sharp teeth while she snarled, why was he attacking her?

Then, suddenly a red bird with blue and yellow feathers flew down to perch on the man’s shoulder holding a basket of something in its beak. The young wolf’s snarls died down to mere growls as an ear flickered forward for a moment as she began to think over the present situation. The bird, she thought, was acting rather strange, she hadn’t seen a bird carry a basket before. Perhaps it wasn’t any ordinary bird? She thought to herself as she pressed her ear back against her skull again, the growl still rising from the wolf. No, she wasn’t going to attack the human, not unless he intended on attacking her again. Redd turned her attention to the arrow and she reached forwards to clamp her jaws around the shaft while the muscles within her neck bunched as she pulled the arrow out of the ground. With teeth still firmly clamped around the arrow, she looked back at the pair and her ears flickered forwards to see what they would do. Then, she lifted her nose, flickered her ears back and walked off as she huffed. It was almost as if she was saying, 'This is my arrow now,' as she began to walk away from the pair, a wag of her tail also given as if she felt proud of herself for it.

Aleister watched the wolf more intently than anything else before. It seemed more... intelligent than he would of though? reacting to things differently than expected. He didn't think that a beast could show curiosity while entranced in a snarl, but when Red came around this one did. The bird could not have taken a worse moment to show up and not a worse place to land on either. When he settled Aleister tried to shake his shoulder without any sudden movements, but apparently the Kelvic could not move, taken aback, by the beasts stare.

When the wolf moved for the arrow the muscles in Aleister's arms stiffened and immediately relaxed in confusion. He was tense so any move the wolf would of made would make him think of an attack, but what the the predator did instead baffled him. He could just stand there and watch as it made a few proud steps with the spoils of this staring contest in it's teeth. Realising that he would not have to fight the wolf he relaxed and put the arrow back in the quiver. A touch irritably he brushed Red off of his shoulder, sending him to the ground, flapping his wings to keep balance
"You saw that I had an arrow knocked! What if that wolf would wanted to eat me, eh?" Aleister started to berate the Kelvic "Guess if would of had a good time. It would of also had poultry on the side, cause I'd have pulled you by your tail feathers down with me!" The stressful situation that had just passed made him lash out. It could of been the end of him after all. No matter how small the beast, if it had charged with something hindering his arm, it would of likely ended in the wolfs favor.

He let out a breath, placing his hands on his hips, bow still in grip, and looked at the wolf again. Proud of it's victory. Aleister did loose an arrow, but that did not matter. The fact that he lost just one arrow was good enough

Day 2, Fall, 514 AV
Already prepared to fly up in the sky, if the animal would plan to attack, the wolfs actions took him for surprise. It just went...and took the arrow. Which animal would do that? Whit his thoughts about the matter at hand, he didn't notice Inartas release of tension or the movement, that followed. In that place he felt being pushed aside and the force, that made him fall. Using wings to balance himself, the Kelvic got down without any damage. He was only pissed off.

With a light, which was a signal for his transformation, he turned from bird to a male boy. From the face expression it could be well seen, that Red wasn't happy. Even pissed off.
"Are you mad! Birds have fragile bones, you know! I could easily brake my leg that way and then who would take care of me, you!?" Yes, when it was about his, or anyones, health, the bird could get a bit too dramatic.
"The wolf wouldn't do anything to you! Animals are afraid of humans and don't attack, if not cornered. Plus, you should be a hunter, right?" Like always, the male was speaking in his first human language, Nira, but now it mixed with sounds, that could be found in Avion language, if the red head male could identify them in the first place.

Yelling that way, the Kelvic suddenly remembered about the wolf further away. Another thing, that usually made predators dangerous...was loud noises. Taking a quick look at the mammal, he was nowhere to be seen at the moment. Turning again back at his companion, Red continued, but in a bit calmer voice.
"I just went down, because I saw a rabbit getting away and...Nothing, forget about it! You better hunt something down, because I don't mind eating just cooked mushrooms, but I don't know about you." He smirked, bending down to gather the content of his little basket, that had fallen out.
