Thaurn Proteus Sultros
Race: Isurian Gender: Male Age: 46 Height: 5 foot Weight: 223lbs, 16 stone, 101kg Birthday: 7th Winter 468 AV Birthplace: Sultros
Appearance:Thaurn stands at 5 foot and is quite a typically well-built Isurian man. His face is quite angular, with a broad Jaw and brow line along with quite high cheek bones. His eyes are rather deep and are a midnight blue colour. His nose is quite flat and his lips are quite full and slightly pouted. His hair is a dark black and is cut quite short and messily, it is usually swept back and to the left. Possibly due to long hours of working or just a form of ignorance, he usually has a light gathering of stubble about his lower face. His left arm ( as he's male ) is a dark metallic red colour. The bright silver veins are quite noticeable because of the contrast.
Fraey's Appearance Fraey is a colorsplash horse, slightly over 15hh tall, she is a patchy dark grey colour all over with a very slightly brighter patch of grey on the right side of her neck, and two large patches of white - one on her underbelly and one on the top of her right back leg. Her eyes are quite a deep blue colour for a mostly light coloured horse, but are still quite faint compared to other breeds. She has quite large hooves that are a creamy-brown colour and usually regularly maintained, more-so than Thaurn maintains himself. Her mane is cut quite messily like thaurn's hair, though it is regularly brushed.
Language
Fluent: Isurian. Basic: Common.
Concept:Quite curious for his race, Thaurn seeks to find some extra use for his trade skills besides making money or supplying the rest of the Isurian community with his wares. He constantly seeks to improve his craft and definitely has the passion of the rest of his race, but he thinks that there may be opportunities outside of his home that are greater than those within it. He also wants to become more in touch with the free way of living that some of the other races seem to enjoy, that doesn't mean he's any good at it though.
History:Thaurn grew up like most other Isurian children did, being taught by the elders of the community and having the opportunity to try many different crafts to see which he was good at. Though not excelling specifically in any one craft, Thaurn was quite passionate about a few of those he was introduced to and so advanced in them quite equally. Somewhat unusually, Thaurn made quite good friends with a slightly younger member of the Pitrius clan and would talk with him during their inconstant meetings about the world of magic. Even though they were friends, Thaurn could never convince his friend to teach him the school he wished to learn the most: perhaps he couldn't, but Thaurn was convinced that it was mainly the void between the clans that made it impossible to learn and this was just another reason for him wanting to see the outside world.
Upon deciding to leave, Thaurn began to gather some simple supplies and money for quite a while before actually leaving his home. A few days before he was due to leave, his father gave him an Isurian steel Kris, with a hand crafted scabbard. Thaurn set off on his venture at the end of spring when the weather was fairer. He met a small group of traders at one of the outposts outside of Sultros and with a bit of persuasion and some money involved, traveled with them to the port in Alvadas, where he took a boot to the city of Syliras. Though travel was hard, the group made decent time and the journey only took around 65 days, with the boat to Syliras being surprisingly fast and only taking up about 15 of those days.
Thaurn spent a few days in the city of Syliras recovering from the hard travelling, he took a short tour around the main part of the city and was already enjoying his travels, after seeing the extremely strange city of illusion - he was now in a very large, mostly human filled city with an alien culture and though it was hard to get used to, he found himself enjoying it. He purchased a wagon just before leaving the city, only having avoided it before (with some difficulty) because of the boat he knew he would need to take.
After his short rest, Thaurn again set off on his journey - this time to Zeltiva, although this time alone. The few days he spent in Syliras were supposed to be rest but he found himself spending a lot of his time, and a decent amount of his coin, on supplies for the trip ahead - and asking for information about it. He set off along the Kabrin road and found travel easier than the brief above ground movement that he'd experienced on his way to Alvadas, though in no means easy. Upon following the road for around 60 days, he finally came to Zeltiva.
