While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

Fall 510 AV.
Seat of the world
Late evening.

She had been bathing her wound, she had the scar ever since she was six years old. Human years that is, as far as the wolf was concerned the scar had been there for all her life. Kelvic or not she still bled. She swam as wold but changed to woman as the ache grew at her side.

She moved her hand and glanced at the wound on her hip. It was open again and bleeding hard. She couldn't help but open it when she went on the hunt, if she didn't hide enough and the pray got the chance they often went for the tender scar. She had it stitched twice, once by a witch doctor who almost killed her and once by a human woman who found her on the road. She winced as she moved out of the water to dress.

She had walked a perimeter before bathing to secure her safety, of corse she had left a trail of blood that would now be drawing predators close or worse... bandits. She grabbed her blade and set up a spot in the cover of the forest where she could lay down. Her breathing was heavy and her head light after the loss of blood. She needed help. She ripped one of her shirts she had kept in her pack and held it tight against the wound. She knew it wouldn't stop the bleeding but just soak it up. 'Please, send someone my way' she whispered to the air around her.

She slipped in and out of conscious sleeping until now when she felt the ache and panic behind her situation. The protection of night was upon her but then again it meant she was less likely to be found. Every muscle and bone ached as she became her more natural wolf state. She welcomed it. The warmth of her pelt and strength of her nose and eyes. She gave up on stopping the bleeding, she just gave up. Lying down on top of her cloak and clothing she let out a soft non-threatening howl in the hope that someone would go looking for the sound.

She is a Kelvic able to take the form of an animal and a human, an old race of shapeshifter that are left to wander the world without a true home, lost, and looking for companionship. All she had was stories, no past just heritage. No family just sketches of a life she once had. No home or possessions except a vile of Wolf's bane.

Her hair was long and thick in both forms. In human state she has several braids of several sizes, some held beads others held metals and all held her dark red and black hair. Now as wolf she held a dark grey pelt with soft red highlights around her ears and lower back. Red stains marked her pelt as blood continued to crawl from the wound. Her dark eyes shone in the light. Her pale skin that glowed in the moon's light now hidden under thick pelt. Her leather bodice and soft cotton shirt all lay in piles by her side. Her dark breeches and boots that blended her in with the bushes around her now lay slumped against her pack. She was one with the moon, a child of it, a creature of it.

She looked up at the moon and remembered the family she once had. They were up there as stars, that's where her mother told her they would go when they passed away, then they could look down and watch her grow. She knew with every breath she would be with them soon. She could hear someone or something closing in on her but she had not the strength to dart quietly and quickly behind the trees with her glowing eyes watching and searching for the interruption. Was a man or beast that now gazed upon her? She felt no panic or alarm, at this point she didn't care if it was bandits, she was downwind and was starting to accept the fact that without help soon she would die. The worst thing would be a bandit stumbling upon her as a human, weak and easy for the taking. She was better off as wolf.

She had been hunting bandits and messing them around in payback for the crimes they had committed to her family. Now she couldn't even snarl at them. She knew they were after her now and they were getting smarter. She looked to the moon then let her head rest on her paws 'What do you want?' she said to herself. 'Are you here to help with my end or with my life?' she thought before closing her eyes a little.

Vlad had never been much of a woodsman, he thought to himself as he trudged through the wooded forest hearing something coming out of the water.

"Ugh..More bandits?" he groaned to himself as he readied his dagger, it was a fine night the moon was out, illuminating the river at the edge of the forest he could hear owl's hoot, and wolf's cry... although while taking in all of this natural beauty...

something didn't feel right, like there was another being with him his eye's scanned the landscape before him searching for that presence..

"H...Hello? anyone there??" his voice shrilled through out the trees. Hoping for a response..

As her ears listened for salvation she heard a muffled voice through the bushes
"Ugh..More bandits?" it groaned. She opened her eyes and wondered if she was hearing things or if aid had really come to her. She hoped it was aid and if it was she knew they would not harm her like the bandits would because they to sounded like they despised bandits. "H...Hello? anyone there??" the voice called through out the trees.

She changed once again to her human form and let out a cry of pain and distress "over here" she said weakly. She clawed at her cape dragging it around her pale naked flesh. The blood flowed swiftly after being stretched by the change from beast to human. She looked down seeing the blood stains on her clothe, she had lost a lot of blood. Her arms outstretched slowly grabbing her boot as she pushed the drawings deep into it and hoped she had not stained them with blood as well. She could now feel hot tears down her cheek as the rest of her body shivered with feeling of shutting down. "Hurry" she whispered feeling herself slipping from consciousness.

"Hurry" she whispered again and again until she saw the bushes in front of her move.

Vlad heard a faint, raspy yelp coming from up ahead he proceeded with caution towards the noise bringing out his dagger, he moved the bushes away..to reveal

A Woman, Clad in tattered cape whispering "Hurry" over and over,Vlad's heart skipped a beat as he moved closer "Hello..? You ok?" Vlad said pensively...then he saw it... blood seeping through the bushes "W..Woah.." Vlad's words stumbled out of his mouth, seeming even strange to him as he bent down to help the poor woman.

"Your going to be ok...just tell me where it hurt's the most" Vlad whispered to her, for fear bandit's might be in the area. he silently waited for the her to answer.

She was normally tactical and smarter than she was now. She always kept herself hidden and always made she she had the upper hand. But not now. He looked human, the man that stood before her, looking down upon her. He moved closer and she wished to flinch away but could not find the strength.

"I... I need stitches..." she managed to mumble. She was starting to shake, her eyes were still wolf. Golden. Sharp. She looked up at him with those eyes and spoke quietly "Scar... hip... ripped open" she said with jittery teeth. The same teeth as the wolf. She was too weak to fully change back to her human state, she knew if she was to die she would want it to be as wolf.

She could smell the dear as it drifted off him "Bandits?" she whispered "Are they here?" she asked. She needed aid and had hoped they were alone or in the company of good people. "Can you sew?" she coughed "I don't have much time" she said.

Vlad moved quickly, to the girl's side his long fingers working there way to her hip as she flinched as his touch. he threw down his knapsack reaching for some thread and needle as the girl kept moving.

"Look, i nee-" Vlad was mesmerized by her eye's they were golden like a sunset..it dumbfounded him, until a low growl shook him back to the task at hand, he produced a piece of cloth from his knapsack before breaking the skin a few inch's before the cut and looping the thread inside the needle before stitching the wound back down. He then turned to one of his many book's and before tearing a page out he said "Now, look this is going to hurt..but i must cauterize the wound before i tie it, don't scream ok?" at that Vlad chanted from the page until a small flicker of light appeared at this finger tip.

"Now, Shh.." He whispered to her, before dipping his finger atop the flesh and burning the skin, burnt skin filled the air. As he finished he grabbed the cloth he had earlier before pressing it against the freshly burnt stitches. before tying it around her right leg. "Now, be quiet... you need water" he whispered to her before standing and turning heel's to run to the river.

His hands were cold against her skin, her temperature was higher than normal humans because of the wolf and often grew higher when the wolf was present. She couldn't help but flinch and wriggle a little.

She held eye contact with his for a moment then she pulled her blade from her boot and placed the hilt in her mouth to bite down upon when she felt pain. She put her head back and closed her eyes as he started to stitch the wound.
She let out soft moans from time to time but continued to bite down upon her blade's hilt. She looked up at him and held his eyes again with her golden orbs. He told her of the pain and she nodded before biting down with the wolfs force on her blade. She closed her eyes as his hand moved burning the flesh, the wolf in her growled with force but she did not let out a scream or howl.

She could smell the blood and burning of flesh as all her senses were heightened. She let the blade fall from her jaw to the ground as she lay her head back and panted. She looked up to him as he started to move "Thank you" she whispered before he disappeared to the waters edge. She felt her body ease back into the wolf and so there she lay as wolf, silently healing. The only sign of the girl was her clothing around the wolf.

As Vlad ran through the think foliage to the rivers edge, he could see some fish moving silently underwater there angelic pattern's where disturbed by Vlad dipping his water-bag into the cool pristine water.

Once he got enough he carefully shuffled back to the spot where the girl was, only when he moved the bushes aside he saw a wolf...lying where the girl had once been, only tattered cloth's remained 'So...a kelvic eh? hmm..' his thought's were interrupted by another soft growl, as he lowered the bag to it's mouth.

"Go on, it's water..drink..you need it." he whispered as he waited for her to drink.

She listened and looked around herself for any sign of other men. The man had saved her life and she was in his debt.

She knew the man was coming back to her, she could smell him down wind. He moved through the bushes and stood looking down upon her. She held no quarrel with him, if he meant her harm he wouldn't have healed her in the first place. She gave a nod as he realized what she was. He lowered the water down to her and she lapped it up. Once she had her fill she continued to look around them and sniff the air in search for others. She needed to change to her human state to talk but for now she had to rest and the wolf was the better form for healing.

Somewhere in the woods was a wounded stag with a broken horn, it knew the wolf would be close to death and if not it knew that the wolf would be back to finish its task.

Vlad Noticed the wolf sniff the air, then shift it's head to the side "Hmmm..? what is it?" Vlad whispered "Can you speak?" vlad ran his hand over the wound, inspecting his work.

he looked around for any movement around the area, seeing how they were safe he stood and brushed his hand's off before grabbing his knapsack and book's

"Can you stand..?" Vlad said as he waited for an answer, his gaze shifted to the environment around them.
