Hi all, I am Patrick!

I have been RPing for a long time with many years of D&D, of which I am an official Wizards tournament organizer, Pathfinder, and Call of Cthulhu experience. I got my first taste of RPing from a little game called Neverwinter Nights in middle school and I got hooked on the aspect of shaping out a destiny and creating a unique form of imaginative art.

I stumbled upon Mizahar by accident while looking for new outlets of roleplay creativity. I then got lost for more than a few hours reading lore and giggling to myself at all the possibilities.

My favorite, and the one I most adhere to, RP style is an open ended, out of the box approach where the player really slips into the character they have created, and plays with only the cares and motivations of the said character.

I will write about pretty much anything. I love challenging myself with thought experiments to discover how my characters would react to new situations. I also find that through these experiences I also learn more about myself, not only as a writer but as a person as well.

My favorite thing about Mizahar so far has to be the insane detail on every aspect of the lore. I had an absolute blast reading though what I have so far and had to pull myself away to even make an account! (That has to have been the most frustrating thing so far, that I don't know it all yet!)

I am looking for a new community to expand my creative consciousness with and make new friends who can fill me up with amazing storytelling.

In regards to things I want to see expanded... why ask for more when I have yet to see the end of what there is!?

Hello and welcome!

I'm glad to see you've taken interest in the lore, and as for the community you are looking for I think you will find that Mizahar fits your wishes perfectly. Most of the players here operate with the same mindset as you, falling into their characters and operating on their characters interests, so I think you will enjoy writing here. You are reading our lore which is good. And don't worry, once you start using the lore more there seems to be less and less of it. Which is great because we also courage characters that understand the lore and Mizahar's theme to expand and do their own thing some. But be careful, Mizahar will suck you in and never let you go!

If you've got any questions or want to discuss anything we have quite a few OOC resources for players. You are welcome to pop into our discussion forum, our Questions and Answers forum, and/or our site's chat. Or you can simply PM the local Storyteller (colored names) if you have some more specific queries on a particular region or domain.

I have SEVERAL questions regarding character creation. While exciting it is also mildly daunting! It has been a long, long while since I have RPed on a forum.

A nudge in the right direction would be a welcome nudge indeed!
