AppearanceRace: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Birthday: 1, Spring, 496
Birthplace: Syliras
Appearance: Malakath is a 5'11" man with longish brown hair with greyed parts shining through lie ghostly wisps. His hair would look longer provided he didn't form it into a large braid which at the same time is mesmerising to look at as he has shaved a horseshoe shape from his head, meaning behind his ears there is a stubbly greyish brownish band, in front of his ears and on the top of his head however he made several individual braids that coalesce into a large thick knot making his long hair stop at the base of his back despite the rest of the hair underneath not being present. He also has a carefully maintained handlebar moustache that ends in a small beard beneath it, nothing massively fanciful however the beard between where the handlebars reach his jawline is perfectly greyed.
He is built to a degree but is not massively strong. Able to do most tasks well as a squire and a knight but not lifting a cart off the ground strong. He is also a very smart individual whose piercing blue eyes look almost out of place in his pale white skin.
He currently wears what was requisitioned for him, using a spear like it was a staff most of the time but still wearing the uncomfortable heavy armour assigned to the squires.
He still wears his personal effect, an embroided White hood that is well kempt to a degree but cannot stop all of the dust being kicked up from the town bustle so it takes an off white coloration.
Character ConceptA young man who has recently been released as an apprentice during his squirely duties as a Mage. Moving out through the world to see who he can help and hopefully successfully do his knighting quest. A shy boy, he will often stand without saying a word unless he has to. Being a Syliras native he wants to protect his city and prove to his father that he is not a burden.
Personality wise is is a rather humble character, quickly denying and growing embarasse when someone says something nice or does something nice to him that is more than a good job. He also is quite a realist and sometimes doesn't realise what he says can make people mad at him or compliment accidentally but will carry on doing it anyways. He is also a quick learner and often tries to hide this through faking to forget things. The other thing he does is miss signals all the time. But one thing he is is kind, he will frequently spend his Mizas on others. And I ally despite being rugged looking and have what could resemble for us a growly rugged vocal pattern (think Scottish) he is actually a very soft individual, but even in combat as all Knights should be he can drop that and fight well enough.
Character HistoryBorn on a farm outside Syliras to a simple family, he never knew his mother as she gave away her gift of life to bring him his. Meaning he never got to say thank you. He also never found out if she was happy or got to hold him before she died because of his father, a callous and bitter man who saw his son as the person who murdered his wife. Which is why one day when he was only 5 he was given to the Knights order with talents of magic to be a Mage knight.
Taken in by an old mage named Morgrim he trained essentially all the time throughout his pagely duties, being a page to the old mage knight anyways meant he was taught many things about magic, such as how to control it and when he proved to Morgrim he had the sufficient capacity, Morgrim gave him Reimancy.
The single most painful experience of his life, and being a small child waking up afterwards full of energy he was shedding his magic outward which led him to tire quickly. Raining began with him controlling the flow of his Djed and this took a few months to master due to his 7 year old concentration span, but eventually he had it mastered as they moved into Reimancy, practicing wind magic first as it was the least likely to cause significant damage, he spent several months trying to do the same task Morgrim set him out to do. Knock over a suit of armour, it took a long time for him to understand but he started by throwing huge blasts of air at the whole thing which merely shook it being armour. Getting frustrated with this he threw tantrums and the like until Morgrim showed him something, a plate in fact.
Malakath watched the plate he held when Morgrim created a small blast of air over the whole plate. Which Malakath could resist with his strength somewhat easily, Morgrim then repeated the process but this time a small stream of air in a column drilled into the centre and the plate shattered "Trying to destroy something by attacking everywhere is not a clever tactic, however if you apply your force to one location you could eventually split a mountain in two". Malakath was inspired and repeated the test the following morning. Two strikes to the chest plate did nothing but then he shot one at a knee joint and the whole armour clattered to the ground.
Cheering for himself and practicing for another 6 years of his life. He was inducted into the squires quarters and set to work but he still came back to his master for training when he could, which was a few hours every day.
His squire training was slow at first because he was busy learning more about magic and his master then taught him about projection and at this time he had also learned to use fire magic too. This was fairly simple compared to Reimancy but just as difficult to learn in terms of concentration. The other problem was that he in order to progress had to learn to fight with a weapon of some kind. The weapon he chose was a spear as he felt that would allow him to cast at a distance and keep his enemies at bay.
He decided that he would continue his Knights training as hard as he could and develop his own magical prowess too in order to be a great Mage Knight. He also went back to his master who wanted to teach him something new the next day but when he got there the old age of his master ha finally caught up with him.
Reporting the death and weeping for a while as the old Mage Morgrim was the closest thing he had to a father he ever had. But he did see one thing, a book which had a word on the front he had already heard. Glyphing.
He set out now to train and become a great Mage-Knight but he knew he needed to find a Glypher to teach him their trade if he was going to join the Syliran Knights properly.
