[Stone Gardens] An Artful Bond (Revali)

I'm back...

The silence of the Stone Gardens enveloped her, sitting on a bench, surrounded by names. Millions of names.

Kayuqtuq had woken up in a foul mood. It was way too hot. And it was... was her deathday. Avena's. The day she was taken by that arrow. By Dira. One year since Dira took her away.

She wanted to forget about her death, but she couldn't shake the sadness from her, and the cold hatred of Dira, and the emptiness. Couldn't Dira have taken someone no one loved? Kayuqtuq would never forgive her for the pain she caused.

Kay had to be alone, alone with her lute, and the feeling of pain, and the soft presence of Rhaus and Morwen, the feeling they were watching her.

To anyone who saw her, she looked like a mess. Her eyes were black with sadness. Kayuqtuq was hunched over her lute crying softly.

She had needed to be alone, so she went to be alone where she had met Gwin and Autumn. And like any Snowsong, she sung. She sung to Rhaus and Morwen. And it felt good.

Note: Kayuqtuq is only basic in Common, and particularly has trouble with grammar and the structure of words. If you notice she talks a little like a six-year old, that's why.
Note: Due to real life, posts will be delayed. I'm working hard on some non-Mizahar writing, and that plus school and various other things makes it hard to post.

[Stone Gardens] An Artful Bond (Revali)

Like in his childhood, Revali gained joy being outdoors. In fact, there were many activities Revali still enjoyed that came from his past. He loved all of the arts, be it zealous song or vibrant artwork. He still loved hearing stories as he had in his youth. And he still loved watching everything and everyone around him.

Because of these things, one of Revali's favorite hobbies was observing artists. And it was in the Stone Gardens that these artists could most often be found, either tsking softly under their breath as they wrote out in their journals, painting, or crooning softly along to instruments. But that day, Revali saw something less than familiar. This woman- she was unlike any other artist he had seen. She was making unique and beautiful music, notes streaming from her lute like water from Laviku's crests, but there was something streaming down her face as well. She was crying.

Kissing her cheeks were tiny teardrops, though hardly any sound escaped her yawning lips. Could it be that she was so moved by her own work? Or was this an ode to a lover who did not return her feelings? Whatever caused her sorrow, the unfamiliar sight of a gorgeous woman crying gave Revali pause. He took a reluctant step forward, and then stopped once more. He could not interrupt her. She was simply too grief-stricken to bother. And yet, he had to do something. Hesitantly, Revali sat himself on the ground. He watched the strange woman bent over her lute, feeling his heart constrict in sympathy. Though the only thing he really could think to do was watch, but he knew that it did not help her at all. Tearful himself, Revali bent his own head, giving up a soft prayer in the stranger's name.

"Every living being deserves happiness," He whispered, careful not to disturb her, "Aquiras, gift her strength, to get through this."

Silently, and sorrowfully, Revali stood, and once more gazed at the weeping girl.
