The last thing I remember was singing with my twin, we were happy; then there was nothing. My body was engulfed in icy blackness, pain shot through my nerves as my body reacted to the darkness around me. I opened my eyes, bubbles swirled and churned around me as my body sank further and further into the sea. Without thinking I channeled energy into my upper body, strengthening my arms so I can swim up to the surface.
When I broke the water’s surface, gasping for breath, as waves tossed around me, trying to push me back under. But I refused, I would not allow myself to be pushed underwater again. The struggle to stay above the wave pushed me to my limits, but sometimes I faltered and was submerged once again. When I reemerged from the water there was a fire in my eyes fueled by rage and self-hatred for allowing myself to be consumed by the sea.
Between the swimming and the not drowning, I noticed a dock of some sort off in the distance. It seemed very odd… from what I was able to gather it appeared to be built by many different people over the centuries, some buildings were tall with pointy roofs, while others were square boxes; there was no real logic to their construction. Maybe Syna sent me to this city? I thought as I began to swim towards the port.
After five minutes of swimming my arms grew tired, and signs of overgiving coursed through my arms forcing me to stop using Flux. I was still a long distant away from the port, a small feeling of dread began to rest within me. My speed was cut by half, I used too much magic, and the feeling of fatigue grew rapidly throughout my body. If I did not get to the port soon, I will drown!
