Appearance: As a human, he looks a lot like his animal form: His hair is short and fair in colour, with eyes are wider than a humans, and a blank, dark, black colour, which can seem a bit disturbing. His oddness is highlighted more by his teeth, which are long and sharp, and stained a light red colour. He generally has dirt under his fingernails, which are sharp for a human, and leaves in his hair, primarily because he spends all his time in his animal form, and as such doesn't value his hygiene as much as other. His build is quite thin and wiry, but is quite agile, when he gets the hang of his feet.
His animal form is an ocelot, a sort of cat. He's about the size of a German shepherd dog, but with much shorter, fairer hair, which is spotted black. His ears are also this fair colour, and tipped black, much like his tail. All in all, he looks a lot like a household cat, with a similar build, but is much faster and stronger.
Character ConceptVarsk spends large amounts of time on his own, which he doesn't mind. He does see people, and he does talk to them, and when he can, plays games, which are something he likes. He is a bit of a reckless person, often acting on instinct and doing and saying what comes to mind. However, despite the fact he likes talking to people, he doesn't like large groups of people, and can get skittish if even a group of three draw too close, although that isn't often, his natural stealth and hiding skills keeping him away from places he doesn't want to go. However, despite his dislike of people, he is fascinated by them, as he doesn't consider himself one in the slightest. He sometimes spends days stalking people in the jungles and forests, watching their movements and remaining bemused by things such as handshakes.
He generally moves around a lot, but usually he stays near human settlements, sleeping on various buildings where he is unlikely to be disturbed.
He likes being in forests and jungles, which provide him with plenty of cover should a humanoid or similar come stumbling towards him, as well as offering him lots of height in the trees, which is a place he likes to be He always moves around, and is never near one place long, unless something has drawn his attention, which is usually a foreign ritual or something equally unknown to him.
He has no alignment to king or country, and would probably be described as chaotic neutral, although he can be loyal to a fault if someone earns his respect. Should he find a bondmate, this trait of blind-obedience would no doubt set in.
He has no religion, and considers the thing silly. it has never appealed to him, although he does think about the subject quite a bit.
He is usually very docile and very friendly towards people with whom he gets over his original skittishness, but can get incredibly aggressive and violent if provoked, or if someone insults him: he takes his pride very seriously, and anyone who attempts to tarnish it deserves to have their eyes clawed out, or so he thinks. He holds a grudge for the longest of times, and is very protective and possessive. He doesn't really like people touching him, which is something that sets off his aggressive side.
Despite talking to people often, Varsk doesn't have the best of social skills. Due to this, he doesn't pick up on things such as sarcasm, or the subtle signs that someone is uncomfortable or similar. He is a surprisingly good liar for someone with social skills as bad as his, but is still fairly bad at it; it would take someone with equally abysmal social skills to accept whatever yarns he spins.
Character HistoryHis earliest memory is being sold as an animal to a rich family, and being the plaything of the daughter, who was of similar age to him. His life remained like this for about a year, but eventually, he managed to get into the girl's head: not being able to use the common tongue had it's problems, but eventually, he got her to remove the collar that was around his neck, and he promptly ran off, not bothering to change. As far as he knows, she may still be looking for him, not that he would ever return: he despised it, and felt no bond of any sorts towards the girl, who while nice at times, had a wicked temper when angered.
Since then, he has wandered around on his own, following the humans who spark his interest, but rarely getting close, partially for fear of further captivity. In between in captivity and the current time, he has partaken in several illegal activities, and either stores the loot in his backpack, or dumps it. He carries his backpack around with him, hiding it close by and retrieving it when need or when he is leaving.
