Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

Loaded For Bear

It seemed as if her time spent with Alex was still finding a way to get under her skin. Every so often she'd have flashbacks of his stinging words, a mild irritation that wouldn't resolve itself and just go away. Maybe she was being obsessive compulsive but she wasn't sure, she still had him to thank for another job.

What had she become? A wannabe mercenary ? A savage brute? No she was calculated methodical and precise. She was an over achiever and what did her latest Clientele wish of a fearsome deadeye? Bear sausages, Tillie was livid that she was wasting her skills, she wished to chip and flake the metaphorical stone that she was into a scalpel sharp arrowhead honing herself into a deadly weapon.

But nope, out here in the pething woods this shyke was on some other level of pathetic questing for someone elses breakfast as her steps carried her forward through the snow.

Instead she decided to quietly brood about her current situation in life, oh wait she remembered clearly now. It was Alex's fault she was out hunting for some noblemans fancy breakfast. If she had paid him she could be putting another log in the fire and working on gadgets in some slippers but once again nope. The whole thing gave her a hatred that boiled her blood just enough to keep toasty in the snow. If it hadn't been for him alot of things might have been different, a good word and she could have been offered a position with the squires but what did she get for savings his life? She got a big petch you, no payment, no help advancing as a squire not even a thank you. Just a big Ole shyke sandwich for her munch on, part of her wanted desperately to humiliate him or maybe cross paths again alone.

Was she capable?

Soon a big breath released itself as she cooled down, and continued hiking. Further and further out she loomed as word of mouth from much more experienced hunters said that if she continued on this stretch of road and veered off eventually you would run into a bear or two that had awoken early from hibernation. She was interested in that tid bit of information that succulent little morsel would pave her a path to riches and finery. And all she had to do was follow there directions spring was near and patches of wild blueberries were starting to bloom where the warm sun loomed without hindering shade of leafless branches.
