Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

[Zhongjie Warren] Day Two

Zhongjie Warren. She'd overheard the name of the place she currently stood in, spoken on the tongue of human woman with curling ginger hair who'd just passed by. All day, Karin had been wandering, to and fro, her feet always pushing forwards without rest. She ached, all over. Without even knowing why she travelled thus. She had been thinking about it all day, wondering why all of a sudden she didn't stop. Karin had always been an adventurer, in Alvadas that kind of thing was a given. But never without pause.

However, she felt like she had seen a lot of the city, which was a good thing in her opinion. The sleep on the Mischief had been fitful, the stillness of the bay had thrown her and her bunkmate too, who tossed and turned before eventually heading outside. It was early morning when Karin awoke from her uneasy slumber, and she had immediately got up, grabbed her belongings and asked the captain about a boarding party. Luckily, she could go with the crew that were performing, and in no time at all (or so it seemed) she was back on firm earth.

Ever since the morning, she had been exploring all over. Riverfall was a larger city than Alvadas, or so it felt and because of that she was sure there were some other places to discover, but she was confined by the time. It was eighteenth bell- she had to be back at the dock in two bells. Two bells left to explore!

Zhongjie Warren was a rich, bustling place. At this time of day, the stalls were waning, with some already packing up. But, thankfully for her, the place was still alive and well. She wandered, eyes wide as she gazed at the items for sale, at the multitudes of blue and sometimes purple-skinned men at every stall. She gained some looks, and pulled the hood of her cloak up to shelter her face from the masses.

Something caught her attention, and she did a double-take, turning on the spot to walk back slightly. The stall in question was selling woodwork, and the girl surveyed the wares with a critical eye. She'd been drawn though, to the Akalak's toolkit that lay on the side, semi-unfurled as he worked on something. Now that she no longer worked at the Workshop, she didn't get a chance to practice her woodworking, and she had been surprised to find she missed it. There was something soothing about being able to create something. Plus, perhaps it'd be a useful thing to be able to do on a ship, even if that ship was a basketful of illusions.
