Ardon Whitesand Pitrius Appearance Race: Isur Gender: Male Age: 39 Birthday: Winter 21 477 Birthplace: Pitrius Citadel Gnosis: Izentor Appearance: Ardon stands at 4'11, and weighs 225 lbs. He has a stocky build, dull red hair, and brown eyes. He's very muscular. Character Concept Ardon is the kind of guy who doesn't know what he wants in life, but by god he's going to get it! He uses his uncle as a role model, which even in his own opinion isn't a very smart thing to do. He desires knowledge in all forms, and will go to great lengths to get it. When faced with a new situation, he tends to be hesitant until he can feel it through, something he does for most things since he lacks self confidence. When going through with something, he tries to do it as fast as possible, so as to be efficient, and to get it over with as soon as possible. Ardon is not very sociable or trusting of other people. Growing up in the pitrius citadel, he's been exposed to the Pitrius view on life from a young age, and tends to be cynical as a result, believing that people will always try to get the most they can from you, and dropping you when you no longer serve any purpose. He also tends to be guilty of this with the people he interacts with. His uncle has reccomended he become less suspicious, as having people to rely on is farm more effective than people serving you out of self interest, in his experience. Character History When Ardon was young, he disliked hanging around other kids. He tended to be quiet and hang on the fringes, and when you're in clan Pitrius, if you're not in, you're out. Because of this, he much preferred study, exercise, and wandering the further fringes of the citadel over interacting with his fellow clan mates. When Ardon was 19, his uncle, an animator, came back from journeying across mizahar. Two years later, his family was asked if Ardon was interested in becoming his uncle's apprentice. Ardon gladly accepted, and began learning the art of animation. He helped his uncle animate very little, mostly working as a pack horse helping him prepare the golems and make sure he was uninterrupted. He was taught by his uncle in bits and pieces, his uncle more likely to share stories of his travels rather than the work he was doing. Listening to this, Ardon started to grow very interested in the outside world. As he grew older, his uncle trusted Ardon with more and more knowledge of magic, letting him make the soul core of a golem he was starting work on, or walking him through animating a small toy. His uncle taught him the basics of metalsmithing, and the basics of shielding. His uncle said: "When you're a Pitrius, if you're in a fight you didn't expect, you failed. When you're in a fight you didn't expect and you don't immediately get out of there, your education failed you. Pitrius' always scope out the situation, striking in a single fatal blow, incuring the least risk to themselves." When Ardon was 38, his uncle left to roam the world and seek knowledge. He gifted Ardon with one of his old travel journals, saying he would find it "useful" with a wink. Later that year, Ardon left to follow in his uncles footsteps. He had heard that Riverfall was beautiful, and easy to live in...
