A figure walked slowly into the city of Sunberth. Following behind him was a packhorse with two people tied to its back. The figure, name of Thomas Hardy, looked tired and his clothes were travel worn. He seemed to be armed with a broadsword and a small knife. However, neither of these had sheathes and were slung across his back with a length of rope.

The people tied to the horse, if possible, looked even more tired than Hardy himself. Their eyes both had the blank look of a person who had completely lost the will to live. The man looked 5'8" with a reasonably heavy build. The woman was beautiful, with long red hair, once piercing green eyes, and pale white skin.

Thomas Hardy walked straight from the city gates to a place that only a city like Sunberth would have. The Slave Market. Hardy looked around at the familiar sights of the slave market. It was full of the sad, hopeless looking people that he had gotten used to in the past few days. He smiled grimly. Even though he had lived in Sunberth all his life, he had never quite liked this part of the city. This was the first time he had ever sold a slave, but times were tough. This was the last chance that had of getting enough money to eat, let alone hire a crew. " Well," Tom thought, "This is my chance to do both."
