The Rainshard Pavilion ![]() Nestled neatly among the swatch of blue tents is one that is intentionally duller than its neighbors. The pavilion is oddly shaped and appears to be broken in some sense but this is all a ruse. This is the home and workplace of the Rainshards. The are eccentric, judgmental and notoriously apathetic towards the rest of the world. However, like many abrasive characters, the Rainshards are vital to Endrykas. The ankal and his wife are masters in the art of Glyphing and handle a great deal of work for the other pavilions as well as the Watch. While many other families practice the discipline, the Rainshards had nearly perfected it after generations of honing the magic. NPCs: Name: Shara Raincatcher Clan: Sapphire Title: Master Glypher Skills: Glyphing(81), Shielding(25), Teaching(48), Drawing(45) Shara is slightly better at Glyphing than her husband but she's also the nicer of the two. Nice should be used loosely as the woman will often scoff at requests and not hesitate to turn someone away or ask for a higher payment. No prices are ever set as Shara believes each work to be a masterpiece. A person could place an order for a shielding scroll and then come back in a week for an identical one to find the price doubled. Shara will not argue and simply directs people to leave if they do not wish to pay. Name: Sabro Raincatcher Clan: Sapphire Title: Master Glypher Skills: Glyphing(76), Writing(52), Teaching(40), Meditation(27) Sabro almost never talks to people who ask him for a commission. He has figured out a way to interact and teach his gift to a few select individuals without ever uttering an encouraging world. He's also been known to scribble notes constantly in regards to any and everything. The small notebook is so closely guarded that there are stories of growls given when a client got too close to it. Name: Ed'yta Raincatcher Clan: Sapphire Title: Historian Skills: Storytelling(76), History(66), Auristics(40), Teaching(60), Meditation(70) Ed'yta is a woman of great wisdom and grace. She often chastises her ankal and his wife for their behavior but they've been through the ringer so many times that they simply ignore her. The few visitors find her entertaining anecdotes to be a nice break from the cold treatment of the dominant couple. More than a bit of relief, the older woman is a fount of stories ranging from magics to the history of the Drykas. Anyone who asks the right questions can learn a great deal from the sage. NotesPlease play the NPCs accordingly. Any requests for Glyph work must have ST approval. Any request of knowledge from Ed'yta must also be run through an ST. This is an open location collaboration between Meadow and Prophet. |
