3rd Fall 504
The children clustered together, their laughter and loud chattering filling the air. Her pavilion had been travelling with Endrykas for several days now, and Merevaika had soon found where the groups of kids gathered, most strangers although in some way or other, they were all connected through family and friends. There were the older children, who acted superior around the rest, either by taking charge or pretending they didn't care at all, and there were the younger children, who bubbled around them, lost in their fantasies.
Then there were the children Merevaika's age, who wanted to run around and do things like the adults did but were fair too young to actual experience the dangers of hunting and racing and whatever other things their parents did that they were not allowed to do.
At the moment, nothing was happening and Merevaika was getting very bored. Everyone was just talking and arguing about what game to play, instead of actually doing something. She moaned to herself, trying to spot a familiar face in the group, someone she actually knew well rather than had met a few days before. Not able to spot anyone, she stuck her tongue out at them instead, mimicking some of the arguing until they noticed her. "Let's play something!" she whined, grabbing the attention of a few more of the children, who agreed of course.
She didn't know what of course, but that didn't really matter. Anything would be fun. But because she had been so loud, now everyone thought she had an idea. "I don't know," she moaned, pointing at the crowd randomly, "What do you want to play?"
A yell came from the group, "Hide and seek!" Finally, a good idea!
"Who wants to count?" she demanded at the group, hoping that she herself wouldn't be nominated. She hated counting - it was the hiding part that was the real fun.
