The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

15 Winter 516AV

Kara was conflicted on what to do. The weather happened to be fairly mild and rather enjoyable, opening itself up for a day of exploring the streets she should have known better by now, this place was her home after all. On the other hand, the woman was in a situation she was simply not used to. Kara was alone.

She had managed to slip away from her chaperone when the normally dogged old woman was not actively staring at her. On some level she was sure it was a very immature move, something a child would do and not a grown woman. On the other hand she was feeling fairly smug about her ability to escape, even if her smugness was now being replaced by the feeling of insecurity.

She sought to reassure herself by promising to return soon and none of the passerby's would pay that much head of her, after all the city had enough people going about their daily lives that one woman who might look slightly unsure of herself was not likely to attract much notice, right?

To that end she would wonder down the street, looking back and forth, taking in the sights whilst trying her best to not look like a naughty child who had wondered off and now was at risk of getting her hand caught in the cookie jar, so to speak.

Although, for anyone who might be looking at her, her demeanor just might make her stand apart from the crowd. She did seem ill at ease as she strolled, and perhaps stared to long at certain sights as she passed them by that well adjusted citizens of Lhavit would pass by and shrug off as a simple part of every day life.

None the less she would carry on, careful not to get her shoes unnecessarily dirty, she would walk down the road a little absorbed in the sights going on around her and less of who might be right in front of her.

oocYou should put a date at the top of this thread :) Replace the blank part with the day of winter you want the thread to be set on: __ Day of winter 516AV

Often Daffodil didn't do much in the daytime, as it gave her a headache to be in the sun to long and her eye sight suffered for it, but she simply couldn't stand her house. It was so sufforcating living alone for the first time in her life. She wanted so badly to be home with her adoptive more sometimes that it felt as though her heart might actually break. it had been a bad day today. She was tired from working all night but the walls were too oppressing to let any sleep happen. She needed to occupy herserlf with something. Maybe she would force herself to try and meet people again today. It was hard for her to do, but then again it was nothing compared to the task of actually leaving her hometown.

She was planning on going shopping, maybe buying herself some new art supplies as a treat for all her hard days of work ltely, or maybe just a coffee somewhere nice. She walked aimlessly because she wasn't sure where she wanted to go yet.
She stopped to turn headed for the main plaza when she felt someone bump into her. She stumbled back a step and her eyes focused on the girl in front. She was a pretty young woman, probably a similar age to her. Beautiful women weren't uncommon in Lhavit, but this one stood out. Her skin was ashen, as if she had lived in a cave her whole life, and she seemed very nervous about something. Daffodil probably wouldn't have had the pluck to go up to her had she not have been presented with this opportunity.

"Oops, sorry I stopped suddenly in your way." She said politely with a slight apologetic smile as she looked the young woman over. "Are you alright?" She inquired.

Kara didn't much notice the state of the weather, then again the sun never really bothered her the way it might some races who were sensitive to that sort of thing. The worst thing the sun would do to her would be to burn her, being fair skinned often times wasn't much fun as people thought it might be. She had to be careful of such things, but that was the end of it when it came to sun based discomfort. In this case a winters sun wasn't likely to cause her much damage and wasn't high on the list of things she was thinking about.

Her thoughts, whatever they might have been were shattered when she heard some one's voice. It took her a moment to notice it belonged to a female, not that it meant much but there was a slight chance she was less likely to be assaulted. Not much of one, but still, something was better than nothing no matter how slight it was.

"I'm fine." She said on reflex before stopping to see who or what she had walked into. "Do you need something?" She asked, searching for something to say after she had nearly ran her down.
