It was just like any other morning. Except this morning was different. So different in fact that she was staring at Darvin's little packet of drugs that he crafted himself. Avinasai knew as a maker of poison that she shouldn't obviously test the products being made, but she wanted to have an adventure. It was an entire season ago when Avinasai had left the decaying city of Sunberth to take a swim then watch as her party members took down dead people, corpses. Watching dead bodies me ved was like an old lady, struggling to stand up with a cane after sitting down on her lovely rocking chair for bells on straight. Avinasai felt sick watching the corpses, and it made her sick watching old people struggle.

Honestly, in Avinasai's mind; if you can't get up and walk anywhere then what was the point of living? Especially when living in a city where anything could possibly happen. Avinasai was glad that she wasn't dead yet. She was more than glad. She was so glad, that she could probably take Darvin's drugs right now and head out. However, she took it upon her to take the pack with her, and she grabbed her rapier, given to her by her friend Janeth a few years ago for self defense purposes. Her bag, just in case if she needed it, and her waterskin. She needed to fill up the skin anyways. It was getting low on water and she knew the perfect place to get fresh water, somewhere in the city of Sunberth. Maybe she could take her time and just relax. After all it was morning, and what are the chances of her encountering danger early this morning? About twenty days in, people are sure to be outside of the city. Hunting, or doing whatever they do best outside of Sunberth.

So maybe there would be a lesser chance of bandits running around The Slums? If you didn't know, they were actually quite high. No less than ten bells did a bandit confront Avinasai. Darvin's drugs we're in her pockets, she had her bag, and she had her rapier. She didn't bring any gold with her. So there wasn't much of value, but this boy seemed younger than Avinasai. He looked thinner too; he was tall though, dark shaggy hair, green emerald eyes, raggedy clothes.

He was definitely a Sunberthian street rat looking for some game.

Streets of Sunberth.

"Aye, what the bloody hell you want, rug-rat?" Avinasai said through a snarled. She didn't have time for this. She thought of how she could avoid this confrontation, but the chances of her escaping were averaged out. She would have to be lucky, especially when that boy held such a nicely curved blade.

"I need some gold, woman!" The boy spat back. Holding out his rapier, readying himself for battle. He seemed impulsive, and Avinasai didn't trust him. There was no way to leave this boy behind her so that she could go fill her waterskin. She pulled out her rapier.

"Well, let's dance pretty boy." Avinasai said in a mocking tone, with her upper lip expressing a nice little smirk at him. The boy's left eye twitched and he swiped his scimitar horizontally. Avinasai jumped, and her palms scrapped against the side of one of the buildings. She hissed, the boy cursed in vein, but he wasn't going to give up. Avinasai gripped onto her rapier and with enough speed she was swinging the blade violently at the man yelling at him to go away. She really didn't want to fight him, today was supposed to be one of her relaxing days, or at least it was supposed to be a relaxing one today. However, the boy made it his best effort to ruin it for her.

The boy hissed and screeched as if he were a cat who didn't like people. Well, Avinasai was not so much if a people person, she liked to pleasing herself, but only on particular days. When she felt like she really needed it, or when she really really owes someone deeply, and she can't pay someone through coin. Because Avinasai really loves her coin too, and she mostly spends it on ingredients for poisncrafting stuff.

He swung his scimitar to block, there was a light ching sound echoing throughout the earliness of the morning. Avinasai's heart was skipping beats, she wondered what would happen if she were going to lose this battle. She remembered what Kelski and Zukai said last season about finishing a fight. One must end them in order for the fight to be done. So that was what Avinasai must do. She withdrew and took a five-foot step back before peddling forwards and thrusting the blade inwards. Impaling the boy. She knew that this was what she had to do, but it was either him or her, and Avinasai wanted to survive. So she played dirty.

Avinasai wiped the dark crimson colored blood on to the fallen boy's shirt. She had no time to morne the mistakes that this boy had made. His mistakes was his own for jumping out on her like that. He should have had known better, but he didn't make the right choice. So she had to kill him, because Avinasai was not the one going to die. Not today. She smiled with the accomplishment she had. She lived for another day, and the drugs were calling her name. She was ready to try them now before another bandit decides to confront Avinasai today. By the Gods, why can't Avinasai just live one season without having so much trouble. She needed some time away from Sunberth, but she can't leave this city. She didn't know of anywhere else to go. She needed to work more on her Poisoncrafting because that's where the business was at. Making poison was what she was good at too. If she didn't make poison, how could she avenge the deaths of her parents?

The ones who murdered them when she was twelve years old? Then which caused Avinasai and her brother to move down to Syliras and then get taken in by the orphange. Even when she was just fifteen, her brother had chosen to leave her. Did she really have anyone to give her the love that she needed? Was being isolated by other people the reason as to why Avinasai can't trust other people?

It seemed likely.

Especially since she was living in a city now that didn't have set laws like Syliras or Lhavit. It was anarchy. Sunberth was a city where anyone can do what they want as long as no one catches them. So those whom are either born in Sunberth have the natural instincts of being a rogue. Or those who move into Sunberth have to learn the talents of being a rogue. It all breaks down to survival.

Walking through the streets of Sunberth and avoiding eye contact with those wandering the streets with their hoods up to avoid any suspicion. Avinasai didn't pay any attention to them at all, she kept moving forward until she had finally reached her destination.

There was a river that flowed through the River Isle Park. She wandered over to it, feeling a little tired herself after finsi off the last of her fairly warm water. Avinasai knelt beside the riverbank and moved her hands in the water. The water was cool and refreshing. It was almost tempting to jump in, but Avinasai didn't want to ruin the drugs that Darvin had made. So she just filled the waterskin and the capped it back together before heading into the four acres of woods.

Once she thought that she was deep enough into the woods, Avinasai made sure to look around and make sure that there wasn't anything or anyone near her presence. Because if there were that would mean trouble, and Avinasai had already stabbed a teenager today. She didn't want to be the one stabbing another man, or another Daggercock, because she was sort of sick and tired of fighting. She just wanted to sit and relax and have a nice morning/day. She was so concerned with wmthe side effects of the drugs though. What was going to happen to her once she took them? Did they act similar to the poisons that she can make, however most of the poisons that she does make are usually the ones where her clients will have to inject the poisons.

She needed to find someone who can teach her more ways of injecting poison/making poison. She was sure that there was someone here in Sunberth who will teach her for a price or something of value. Avinasai sat down crossed legged. Her rapier was placed on the ground beside her and her bag was placed beside her along with the waterksin. So everything was practically on the ground. She could feel the warm touch of Syna's light and embraced it openly, taking off her cloak and lying down on the cool grass.

She leaned back and pulled out the packet. She opened it up and a faint scent of the drugs immediately went after her nostrils. She hadn't smelled anything like this for so long, it made her afraid in a way. She was more nervous than afraid though. However, she wanted to see what it was like. Trying drugs, she hoped that she wouldn't get addicted to them quick. It would be rough for her if she did. Taking drugs was almost like trying to learn magic. It overwhelms someone, and they want it all. However too much, it can kill you. They both can kill you. So that's why Avinasai only deals a small amount of poison when she makes it for her clientele. She needed to make sure that they'll use it wisely enough so that they will want to come back more.

Avinasai grabbed a pinch and rubbed it on her hand. She sniffed it. Oh it felt good, however her head stuung and her eyes watered. She wondered if she had gotten any of the poweder in her eyes that had surprisingly floated up into her eyes.

"Damn... that's some pretty decent shit, but nothing's happening yet." Avinasai mumbled to herself. She had never had anything like those drugs, those drugs that Darvin had given her something to feel. She probably was feeling different, but she couldn't register the fact if she was or if she wasn't. She took a deep breath and considered the fact of how she would feel if she took a bigger dose.

Avinasai grabbed another pinch, but this second one was slightly bigger and Avinasai sniffed the powder into her nose, and another rush. Then another pinch, until she ended up laying in the ground. Laughing! She was laughing so much, that she had accidentally coughed up some blood. She had no idea why she was laughing. She was just laughing. It felt good, and she didn't care if it was the drugs that made her feel good or if what she was doing made her laugh and she wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary.

Then she started crying.

Avinasai opened up her eyes. If people looked at her, they could see a small red blush starting to work up under her eyes. She was sure that she saw her mother and father.

"Ma?" Avinasai looked at her mom. Who's eyes were closed and her dark hair pulled as if it was shocked by a tazer. "Pa?" Avinasai called out to them through tears. "Who killed you?!" Anger immediately responded after her sadness. She imagined the creepy smiles that her parents had across their faces. She wondered if she was truly dreaming and quickly forgot if she was on the drugs.

"They poisoned us. The poison. The poison. Avinasai don't drink the poison. Don't become the poison. Live life to its fullest." Mother spoke in such a weird alien-like way. It frightened Avinasai she continued to contemplate if she was still dreaming. Why wouldn't she be dreaming. Avinasai pinched herself to make sure that this wasn't real, and her test failed; so it meant that it was real. This dream was a real life dream. One that won't escape her, at least not for a few bells.
